That small attack on the Crown Prince was his first warning, that is if he understood it.

Xiao Jun and Yun Long stayed in Han, planning to stay for a good few months to get their revenge. Both for the people and for themselves. The needle that Xiao Jun had sent into the Crown Prince was still undetected and the Imperial Physician was clueless as to what had happened to him.

Dressed in Han clothing, the couple disguised themselves as commoners and bought themselves a small home in the city. Xiao Jun gave herself the name Daiyu and Yun Long used the name Yijun. Xiao Jun hid her face by wearing a mask over her left eye and Yun Long had a mask covering half of his face. When asked, she would say that she was scarred from a bandits sword and Yun Long would say his scar was from a fire.

A couple months passed and the Crown Prince began to decline in health. They would constantly send small little letters to the Crown Prince, when he passed on the street with his carriage, Yun Long would shoot an arrow into the carriage and disappear into the crowd, throwing the bow into a nearby flame. At the end of the arrow was a note saying: be wary of those you eliminate.

Xiao Jun would stand patiently outside the small house, looking like an obedient wife waiting for her husband to come back. But the only reason why she was waiting was because the Crown Prince also passed their little home, when he did, she would make herself look pitiful and gazed at him sadly, as if giving him hints of who she was.

The Crown Prince, who was already nearing the end of his life, was frightened so much when the arrow stuck inside his cage and he had started to bring more guards with him.

Who was attacking him?

What was all this supposed to mean? A possible uprising?

When he passed through another street, there was always a woman who stood sadly, the look in her eyes looking oddly familiar to the eyes of the old general, Huo Yun Long's wife, Feng Xiao Jun. He shook his head and forced himself to look away but that little smile playing on her lips kept his eyes on her, giving him shivers.

Who was she?

What animosity did a common woman hold towards him, the Crown Prince?

But that day, he saw a man walk up to her and she gave him the kindest smile he had ever seen since she started to appear. Feeling intrigued, he stopped the carriage and got out, attracting the attention of the people, who got onto their knees and bowed.

Xiao Jun and Yun Long did the exact same thing but they were stopped by the Crown Prince. "No need, tell me, what is your name?" he was directing his to Xiao Jun and his eyes looked her up and down rudely.

Yun Long kept a protective arm around Xiao Jun and she answered, "Your Highness, this lowly commoner is Daiyu."

Putting a hand out, the Crown Prince was about to touch her face but suddenly, Xiao Jun let out a scream and she was pulled close to Yun Long, her sleeve had been ripped and they had made it look like the Crown Prince was trying to touch her inappropriately. The others did not see what happened as they all were looking down but when she screamed, they looked up and saw the Crown Prince's hand up and the woman's sleeve torn while shaking, afraid.

The Crown Prince's brows furrowed and he looked at them, "What are you screaming about? I haven't even done anything yet."

Yun Long looked at the Crown Prince and covered Xiao Jun with his sleeve. "Your Highness, we are but commoners. Why are you coming after my wife? She has done nothing, please direct your affection to someone that is unmarried."

The Crown Prince's face turned pale, this man was blaming him indirectly! He didn't even touch her!

The common folk spoke amongst themselves, making the Crown Prince rage and he pulled out his sword. Those around them shrieked in fear and backed away a couple steps.

Yun Long stood his ground and Xiao Jun turned to look at the mad Prince. Their masks made them look even scarier but they looked like a god and goddess in disguise with their fit bodies and beautiful looks even with the masks on.

With a flick of her wrist under her sleeve, Xiao Jun sent another arrow into the Prince's chest and watched as his face contorted in pain.

He spit up blood and Yun Long put his sleeve up to block the sudden spit up of blood, he looked down at Xiao Jun and she simply gave him a small smile, indicating that it was her doing. He rolled his eyes and laughed silently.

The guards rushed over and the eunuch by the Prince's side called for them to help the Prince back into his carriage and they escorted him back quickly.

The Crown Prince planted the seeds and soon, it was time to reap them. By then, it would already be too late.
