My Four Other Selves

Chapter 61 - Fight Alone

"Will you stop acting like that? Come and help me already. " Zhang Yong asked the confused Senior Zhang Yong.

Just as Senior Zhang Yong heard those words from Zhang Yong he came back to reality. He now realized that Zhang Yong needed his help.

Senior Zhang Yong hurriedly stepped inside the room now only to help Zhang Yong. Immediately he went near him but as soon as he tried going near him suddenly he felt like a push.

Senior Zhang Yong was pushed backward by some invisible force. His body went backward with a force and he fell to the ground.

Zhang Yong frowned a little before asking him, "What happened?"

"I don't know." Saying that Senior Zhang Yong hurriedly stood up and again made an effort to move towards him but this time to he wasn't able to go forward. It felt like there was an invisible wall there between him and Zhang Yong.

He moved his hand here and there to check where that invisible wall was but he wasn't able to feel anything. He frowned and again put his foot forward only to be not able to go forward.

Zhang Yong and Senior Zhang Yong were just in confusion when suddenly they heard the man saying, "You can't cross that line until this fight is over. One of us would have to die for this fight to end and that is going to be you."

The man pointed his sword at Zhang Yong while he said that last line, making Zhang Yong more scared.

When he said only one of them could survive, he realized there was not a chance for him to run away nor Senior Zhang Yong would be able to help him. He knew there was no way to save himself from here other than fighting. He would have to fight with that man no matter what.

He wasn't sure whether he would be able to win that fight or not and that thought of him not winning the fight was just enough for him to get scared more.

He started shivering badly and his hold tightened on the sword. His palms were sweaty and he was trying to hold that sword more tightly as he was holding it in front of that man.

Soon that man twirled his sword around and with a yell, he started to approach Zhang Yong. Zhang Yong also got alert and waited for him to approach him while Senior Zhang Yong on the other hand couldn't do anything but stand there and watch them fight.

This was making him frustrated and mad about the fact that he was standing there in front of Zhang Yong still he couldn't help him fight with that man. He could do nothing but stand there and watch them fight.

"Zhang Yong, you can do it."

He put his both hands in a fight and shook them a little to give motivation to Zhang Yong. Zhang Yong nodded his head at him and his words did give him motivation.

He stood there now with more motivation and confidence inside him as the man approached him.

Zhang Yong was now open for more attacks though and the man in front of him was also not done. Both their swords clashed together and they started to fight again. Zhang Yong was now trying his best and had confidence in himself that he would win. He always did and this time too he would win, he said with determination in his mind.

The quick blow had opened Zhang Yong up for another attack and the man obliged him, putting a simple sidekick into Zhang Yong's stomach, doubling him over.

Just then the sword from Zhang Yong's hands fell down and he jumped at the man in front of him. He hit that man right from where he was holding his sword through his leg and soon the sword from that man's hands also fell down.

Zhang Yong followed that up with a quick rising uppercut. Senior Zhang Yong watching their fight let out a wince for the man.

But then soon the man taking the opening and using the environment to his advantage backflipped onto the wall and pushed off towards Zhang Yong.

The movement sent him front flipping towards Senior Zhang Yong and just before that man reached Zhang Yong again, he flattened his body out, feet first.

Instead of colliding with Zhang Yong though, that man opted to wrap his feet around his neck instead.

This action caught Zhang Yong off guard as he was recovering his wits, once again.

Soren gave Zhang Yong an apologetic shrug, mid-air. As if to say, "sorry" for what was going to come next.

Zhang Yong creatively used his mmomentuming, he jerked to the right and swung around that man.

Then, when he was directly behind his opponent, Zhang Yong curled his legs into his body and angled his body towards the ground, changing the direction of his fall, putting the weight of his jump into a powerful throw.

That man was pulled off his feet violently and was thrown across the floor. He skidded and tumbled along the ground, uncontrolled.

He was stopped by the other end of the floor, about five feet from the wall at the back of the floor. A groan escaped his lips as the pain from the attack started setting in.

That man looked up and his eyes opened with surprise. As Zhang Yong was about to let go of that man, during the throw, he had planted both hands on the ground.

When he completed the attack, Zhang Yong sprang off his hands, throwing himself into a quick back spring, followed by another, another, and another to build momentum.

When Zhang Yong was almost to that man, Zhang Yong bounded off the ground and threw himself into a spin that would have made an expert gymnast jealous.

Flattening out in the air like a sideways whirling tornado, so that his body was perpendicular with that man's as he neared towards Senior Zhang Yong.

Zhang Yong's spin got increasingly fast as he whipped his arms in and out, efficiently putting that man into an almost uncontrollable rotation, arcing at that man.

Just as Zhang Yong was about to reach that man, the man threw one of his legs out, shin angled down. The entire force from the spin was pushed into his leg.

The entire room was silent and it was as if time itself was holding its breath as Zhang Yong descended.

Senior Zhang Yong watching the fight was so enthralled, watching for the next move in the epic fight.

That man barely had time to breathe, let alone dodge. But, it was a witness to his experience in a battle that Zhang Yong kept the presence of mind to roll to the right in a desperate dodge, towards the wall of the floor.

Just in time, Zhang Yong's leg smashed into the ground, slamming into the ground with his knee and shin flat into the wood, crushing the floor into a torrent of splinters that rose around him in the air.

Seeing that man dodge, most people would have allowed their opponent to stand up. That was the honorable thing to do.

But, there were no rules in a fight. With the speed of a cat, while the splinters were still hanging mid-air, Zhang Yong spun his body around and swept his foot towards his opponent's head. The attack was so quick that the man wasn't hurt; it pushed him a foot and a half into the air. That man was also curious, why had that not hurt?

That was Zhang Yong's intention. Swiftly, that man rolled forward and halfway through, slid straight, so that he slid under Zhang Yong and stopped facing the rising man's back.

That man cocked both arms back and double punched upwards into Zhang Yong's back. Air whooshed from hi's lungs as he was pushed even higher into the air. The impact from the attack gave Zhang Yong a couple of feet between him and that man.

Zhang Yong looked to his right and saw the lip of the floor, just an arm's length away now, "This is going to hurt you, just as much as it is going to hurt me."

Zhang Yong promised that man with a forewarned wince.

That man quickly performed a handspring to his feet, crouched just under Zhang Yong with his legs coiled underneath him.

That man exploded from the ground towards Zhang Yong's rising form.

He grabbed the man around the waist, twisted mid-air, and marched him towards the wall, easily angling that man head first, towards the raised lip of the floor.

That man collided with the raised floor and his head plowed through the woodwork with a painful cracking and crunching sound as the wood shattered under the enormous pressure from the attack.

Zhang Yong let go and managed to aim himself towards the level below. He landed with ease and rolled to his feet. Then, Zhang Yong looked back at the man and a look of brief sadness flashed across his face.

That man's body hung vertically for the briefest moment, suspended in an ephemeral moment in time, then he collapsed, head still firmly stuck into the ground. The rest of him hit the ground in an uncomfortable position, but he was still breathing.

"That had to hurt." Zhang Yong said to himself. He looked down at one of his hands and noticed one of his arms bleeding.
