My Four Other Selves

Chapter 72 - Doing It

Both the demons looked back at Zhang Yong and then suddenly they pounced on him. Zhang Yong wasn't expecting that at all but then one of the demons kicked him hard on his stomach.

The kick was quite hard and Zhang Yong not only stumbled but he also fell down there on the ground.

"Hah! Wasn't expecting this!" Zhang Yong said as he put his hands on his stomach.

His stomach was paining badly now but he just put a neutral look on his face showing that he wasn't bothered with that kick at all but in reality the pain in his stomach was killing him.

The demon's eyes went wide but before he could get what was going on Zhang Yong moved his sword and the next moment it hit the demon on his neck. He was also looking at it and then soon he.

His neck immediately got separated from his body and then it fell down there on the ground. The other demon who was still standing there ready to attack him got shocked seeing his head on the floor.

Zhang Yong also was a little taken back seeing his head on the ground. The demon's eyes were still open and staring back at Zhang Yong while Zhang Yong felt scared because of that lifeless thing staring at him.

Zhang Yong was just staring at it when the other demon got alert. He knew he would have to fight with him no matter what otherwise he would end up like the other demon too.

Zhang Yong was standing just in front of his house. He was there after so long that he couldn't even remember his own house clearly.

"Come! Let's go inside Soo mi." Ye Jun said and started to walk ahead of her. Soo mi parked her bike and went inside with him.

As soon as Ye Jun went inside he started to yell with excitement. "Mom! Dad! Look who is here."

Soo mi's parents were already sitting in the lounge. Her mother was serving her father breakfast when he called out for them and caught their attention.

"Who is it?" Soo mi's father asked and the next moment Soo mi stepped inside. Ye Jun stood on the side so that they could get a better view of her.

Soo mi's heart was beating so fast.

Every thing felt new to her now. Returning home was the hug her soul had been calling for in stoic hope.

As soon as she entered the house she felt like she was to return to her cocoon for the starlight hours. It was her chance to become stronger amid the black, her heart singing all the clearer by daylight.

For some time no one said any thing and just stared at each other when finally Soo mi's father broke the silence and got up from the sofa. "My girl."

Those words left her father's mouth as he went towards her.

Soo mi's father said that with so much tenderness and warmth in each word and every word. He was looking at Soo mi with full of emotions and love in his eyes and quickly went over to Soo mi and hugged her.

For a second she just stood there not knowing what to do? But when she saw her father and mother both hugging her, she sighed and started to hug them back.

They just stood there there for some time hugging each other. Soft whimpers of her parents could be heard but she just stood there without doing any thing.

After a while they pulled back and looked at each other with mixed emotions.

Her father then cupped her face and kissed her forehead.

She closed her eyes, she always missed her father's warmth and his love.

Suddenly a voice from the back interrupted their moment

His uncle said to him from the back with a smirk plastered on his face.

"How are you Zhang Yong?"

He looked toward his uncle with the same smirk, and said, "Great my little uncle! Did you guys miss me?"

"Of course we did." His mother replied almost instantly.

But because of his actions and his words his uncle and aunt were a little taken back. They were shocked to see that confidence inside him. He was always a shy and a little boy, but now he was behaving like a mature man, who wasn't afraid of them any more.

He moved towards them and let them hug him. His uncle and aunt hugged him for a while before pulling back.

All of them looked at each other with fake smiles, but Zhang Yong had a smirk on his face. For the first time in his life, he was proud of herself. Now she wasn't going to let any one look down at her.

She was in her thoughts when suddenly her aunt said breaking the silence in the room, "We were just about to leave but since you are here why don't we have our dinner together."

"Sure why not" Soo mi said with so much confidence in her eyes that her aunt and uncle narrowed their eyes at her.

They ate their dinner together with occasionally throwing daggers at each other through words and through glares.

"So how have you been doing Soo mi? I mean how did you survive until now?"

Her father widened his eyes and glared at her uncle.

Soo mi was drinking her juice when all of a sudden she stopped hearing his words. A smiled a little and said while holding her glass and looking at it with intense gaze and then gave the same gaze to her uncle.

"Well I was living perfectly fine and don't you worry I was quite happy there."

"Ohhh! Did you got married or not?" Her aunt asked her pointing towards the incident which caused Soo mi's father to bang his hands on the table.

Soo mi's jaw clenched and unclenched as she controlled her anger and tried her best not to throw her out of the house.

She held the glass so tightly that it felt it was going to break. But then she stabled herself and brought her perfect smirk back on her face.

She looked towards her aunt and said, "Ohh. No. So sad right? But that all was just a lie to make my life miserable but guess what they failed."

Her aunt smiled a little at her but because of Soo mi's fathers glare towards her, telling her to stop, she stopped and didn't say any thing any more.

She looked down at this, embarrassed and finally shut her mouth. Soo mi smirked at this and continued eating her meal. After the meal, her aunt and uncle greeted everyone including Soo mi and her uncle said to Soo mi while going out.

"Do come to our house to visit. Your cousins really missed you."

Soo mi rolled her eyes at this and said, "Ohhh. They missed teasing me. Don't worry tell them I am back but not in the mood to meet anyone cause I AM BUSY."

She stressed on the words I am busy because whenever she went to meet her cousins, they just avoided her saying that they were busy or something like that.

As soon as they left Soo mi's father smiled towards her and said, "Soo mi, your mom had already prepared your room. Go take a rest, we will talk tomorrow."

Soo mi nodded her head before getting up and following her mother.

Her mother took her to the room, she used to live before. When she entered the room, she realized everything was the same as before. She looked at everything closely and then her mother said while holding her both hands, "Look! Everything is same. When you left, I used to come here and sit for hours. I made sure that everything should be the same as you left. Because if one day you come back, you will live here. I really missed you my girl. I really did."

With this she kissed Soo mi's both hands and started crying.

Soo mi then engulfed her in a big hug and said "I missed you too Mommy. "

That night Soo mi and her mother slept together, as her mother wasn't willing to leave her.

>>> Next Day In The Morning:

Soo mi woke up in the morning as if it's an emergency, as if sleeping had become a dangerous thing.

Her heart beat fast and there was a buzzing in her brain and together they panicked with jump-leads. Only now her brain was as a flat battery, the exertions of the night being a marathon of erratic problem-solving.

"OMG! I slept till so late. The boys will kill me."

She hurriedly got up from the bed but when her eyes fell on her surroundings she realized she was back in her home and there wasn't any need to get up this early.

With a big thud he laid back on the bed.
