My Journey to Godhood as a Caterpillar

Prince Markus felt his life flash in front of his face as Yun Jhin's hand was getting closer and closer to his neck, ready to snap it like he was a chicken grown for slaughter.

He gulped down heavily as he tried to move his body only to find out that the gravity pinned him down so thoroughly that he couldn't move at all.

Sweat trickled down from his forehead as if it was a waterfall, he couldn't help but shout at the last second before Yun Jhin's demonic hand latched on his neck:

"FATHER HELP ME!"

Being put against the wall, in a life and death situation, Markus couldn't think about anything else besides shouting for his daddy!

It was mostly because in his youth his father was a little bit more active and he would act to protect him no matter what he did, he was a young master with both silk pants and a golden spoon in his mouth, but as time passed his father couldn't come out to help him anymore, he couldn't play with him anymore as his body started to weaken, he needed to hibernate.

However, this leads to the prince getting abandonment issues and hating his father, forgetting about the good times that they had together which led to hatred and the obsession of wanting to become emperor, but he didn't actually want to become emperor, he wanted to meet his father again which was the emperor.

The moment the shout traveled through the whole palace, it started to shake as if the biggest earthquake was going on, actually, the palace wasn't the only thing that was shaking, if Yun Jhin concentrated a little bit better he could feel that the whole celestial realm was shaking!

At this point, Yun Jhin actually started to have second thoughts about going against the Emperor, he knew that he was currently awakening and this wasn't even his full power!

This was just the remnant of his aura flaring for one second due to his awakening!

Yun Jhin looked down at the trembling prince and sighed, since he already went this far there was no going back now, his hand clenched prince Markus's neck, breaking it and killing him, his soul tried to escape from his dead body but before it could Yun Jhin opened his mouth and inhaled absorbing the soul directly into his body and assimilating it.

Yun Jhin could feel some scattered memories surfacing on his soul but he discarded all of them, they were mostly useless to him and because he forcefully absorbed the soul he didn't get anything important from him.

The moment he died the shaking of the realm increased in intensity as the celestial emperor hastened his awakening, rage could be felt traveling through the whole realm as it shook, dormant volcanoes woke up as they started to spurt lava inundating villages and killing countless innocents.

As the saying went, if the Emperor is angered the heavens shake!

And the sky was literally shaking and turning red after the death of Markus, things started to change on a cataclysmic level to the point that even Biu Wuan, Andonara, and Gu Manshu realized that things didn't look that well for them, they even wanted to retreat!

However, retreating at this point was impossible, the 4 gates that lead to the mortal realm suddenly stopped at the same time!

The 3 peak god realm experts had left a piece of their soul willpower on the gates to make sure no one else followed them in but now they saw how the gates were being turned off!

Their countenances turned ghastly white as they realized they were stuck here along with whatever Yun Jhin had done to piss the celestial emperor this quickly.

Yun Jhin broke through space creating a hole as he appeared near them, their armies were all converged and ready to attack the central area.

However there was no need for that anymore, the celestial emperor awoke already and the 3 of them looked at Yun Jhin with an expression that seemingly asked:

'What the hell have you done?'

Yun Jhin didn't say anything besides:

"You need to prepare, with this amount of anger his body will decay very quickly, we need to delay until his body disintegrates and he remains only as a soul willpower before we can enter in our attacking stance, for now, we will have to defend!"

"What the hell have you done anyways to piss him this much?"

Yun Jhin looked at Gu Manshu who asked and answered:

"I killed one of his sons."

Gu Manshu nodded as he looked towards the horizon, he saw the red sky intensifying in color as lightning bolts started to strike the earth around them, he sighed as he said:

"Well, here he comes..."

The celestial emperor descended from the sky with a lightning bolt, a crater appeared where it struck as he landed in a super-hero pose, the moment he got up and started to float, his appearance was seen by everyone around.

He was a tall man standing around 2 meters, he wore blue and white clothes that covered his whole body not showing any skin besides his face, he was rather handsome with a short beard and short cut hair, he had an angered look on his face as he glared at every strong person which was Yun Jhin, Andonara, Biu Wuan, and Gu Manshu, he pretty much ignored the gigantic army below as if they didn't even exist.

The moment their gazes crossed in mid-air lightning struck from their eyes, the 4 of them versus the celestial emperor.

The lightning met in the middle and it started to push into each other, however, the four's lightning didn't get to last much before it was pushed back and annihilated, but the lightning beam that came from the celestial emperor was still going strong as it wanted to strike all of them at once!

But their lightning had delayed the celestial emperor's attack for enough time so they could dodge out the way, the lightning struck downwards and killed hundreds of thousands of troops who were already retreating from the central area border, they knew that the fight between these titans wasn't something they could join nor look at.

Yun Jhin skidded a few tens of meters backward to dodge the lightning beam while the others either teleported or used their own special evasion techniques.

The celestial emperor looked at them expecting them to dodge when suddenly he appeared directly in front of Yun Jhin!

"I know you are the one that killed my son, that poor deluded boy, I'm sorry that I couldn't be with him more but he should have understood that I put the celestial realm above my familial ties... but seeing him die, feeling his connection to me be severed by now, made me understand that I have made a mistake, the celestial realm can be damned!"

His arm went directly through Yun Jhin's stomach coming out of his back while clutching his spine.

Yun Jhin then fell to the ground powerlessly as he felt his surroundings darken, however, he gritted his teeth as he vomited countless globules of blood which transformed into clones similar to his visage, they were small beings around being a finger length and width, but the moment they appeared Yun Jhin's countenance which was as pale as paper turned back to normal.

The small people that resembled Yun Jhin carried the corrosive ki that the celestial emperor left in Yun Jhin's body so he couldn't heal.

The moment the corrosive ki was expelled a new spine grew as the gaping hole in his chest closed up, the small Yun Jhin's were then burned into cinders by his inner flame as his body bulked up and he entered his battle mode, initiating Lin's family bloodline.

The celestial emperor glared at Yun Jhin as he saw how he had devoured Lin Duritz and the others through the transformation, being connected with the celestial realm on a higher level meant that he could turn back time and see what happened, he knew that Lin Duritz was a clone as well.

He glared at Yun Jhin as he lifted his hand to the sky summoning a gigantic orb of energy that he wanted to throw towards Yun Jhin but Gu Manshu and Andonara appeared in front of him and behind him as they grabbed him by the arms, Biu Wuan appeared above extinguishing the ball of energy before it could culminate into its most destroying form.

Then he dropped towards the celestial Emperor's head ready to pierce it with a golden needle that shined brightly.

However, the celestial emperor flexed his arms as he threw both Gu Manshu and Andonara far away to the point that they both became shooting stars, then he glared at Biu Wuan as he let out a shout creating a sonic wave that resonated with his golden needle making it shake as if it was a church bell being struck severely, the immensely fast shaking made the needle spin out of Biu Wuan's hand and impale him in the chest before his body transformed into a pool of blood and flesh that dropped to the ground.

Yun Jhin appeared in front of the pile of flesh as he guarded it, he knew that Biu Wuan needed some time to recover, and absorbing him in this situation wouldn't help him at all, he needed the help of all 3 of them if he wanted to take care of the celestial emperor!

The celestial emperor didn't say anything else as he lifted both hands into the air this time, an azure-colored gigantic ball of energy started to converge onto his hands, it expanded at quick speeds as it absorbed the surrounding ki from the whole celestial realm!

Yun Jhin frowned as he looked at the incoming ball of death and cursed:

"Damn it!"
