My journey with an Endearing Stranger

Helena's POV:

It was the day I've been waiting for. I am desperate to listen to the three magical words from the magical guy. Jason has relieved me from the stress imposed by Hailey. I'm happy now . I'm in a different mood actually. As soon as I reached the venue, my eyes went on searching him.

After a struggle for few minutes, I succeeded in finding this solemn human. He is busy in receiving the guests. At a point of time, I felt his eyes too were searching something.

I know they're looking for me! This is some sort of feeling that's causing butterflies in my stomach.

Very soon, I ran upstairs to the terrace to find some air and make myself normal. I stayed there enjoying my own company for 15 minutes. Though I was looking outside trying to control myself, my mind circled around him. Only then I felt his presence behind me. He began panting yet trying to lessen the sound. I can hear his breath and it's every minute sound. I waited for a minute or so and then turned around looking deep into his eyes.After few seconds he told me that he has something to announce in the crew and he wanted me to be there. Saying so he left the place soon.

I was a bit puzzled . I was expecting something but couldn't decide if I was right. But the feeling is great and so with the question mark filled face I went to the basement hall. The hall was busy with all the invited guests and among all these people I went on finding this man.

"There he was!",I yelled.

He was on stage by the time I discovered him. He spoke for few minutes about the party and the gathering. It was fun and joy everywhere.Everyone in the hall began to laugh heartily. Chase knew very well how to own people. He respects his every fellow worker. That's a rare quality we find in guys ,particularly in an eminent and a successful person like him.

Later all of a sudden, he proposed my name in front of all the gathering saying that he loves me.His face was lit with thousand candles' smile. There was silence for sometime. But then,everyone cheered up and started shouting our names ,congratulating us.He's agile and quickly surrounded me at the place I was standing in the crowd. He took hold of my hand and with a professional posture he looked into my eyes that were filled with tears .I could feel my heart beat . . . , every single pound in my chest.It began to race.It was a complete silence around me. I could hear absolutely nothing but his voice. His voice was such a playful tune. He knew very well how to hypnotize me.Silence rooted up my ears yet I kept on saying to myself repeatedly,

"Yes! This is the moment I waited for..."

Slowly his pensive look melted into a smile that is as soft as morning sunshine. We saw into each other's souls that were pure, wanting more of each other. His smile is the prettiest thing I've seen in a while,for it extends to his eyes and deep into his soul. He then opened his mouth to say something. The talk between us was littered with smiles on both our faces.

Words rolled off his tongue in a timbre of warmth and finally he spoke,

"I Love You Helena!"

He proposed to me in front of all the gathering with a ring tickling between his fingers. I slowly extended my hand and in a fraction of seconds everything's done.

He owned me . . .

He cupped my face in his hands and tried to erase the stains of tears on my face. Holding my hand ,he walked all through the crew and took me on to the stage. Everyone in the hall were happy with Chase's decision and so I am.

But then, there I saw someone, I never wanted to be there, at a long distance. It was none other than Hailey. Chase turned towards me and said,

"Helena , believe me. She can't do anything to us. Just stop thinking about Hailey. She's a nightmare and I don't want to let anyone enlarge the distance between us. I promise you. I'll be protecting you from everything."

I smiled in return and took hold of his hand and said,

"Ignite every candle in my hollow dark room and make my life brighter Chase!"

He smiled at me and gave me a present . With all the enthusiasm stick on my face, I asked him what it actually is. Chase asked me to check it out myself and come to the ballroom. Soon he left.I went to a room, locked myself there and opened the present.It was a black knee length dress with a high boat-neck. Very quickly I changed to the dress in black. It was a gown made up of soft, satiny fabric ,silky and smooth. It looked great on me and has perfectly fit my bloom skin. It looked like a Cinderella-resembling eyeing gown that wishes to be a wedding gown but can only be a prom dress at instance. The diamond ring that Chase has put on me replaced all the traditional jewellery and itself stood as the enticing ornament on my pale skin.

Slowly I came out of my room and there I found him in a tux in black matching my ballroom gown. The ballroom was full with couples dancing over here and there. They were all happy and romance furnished between each couple.

It was our turn then. I trailed my hands around his shoulder and he circled his hands around my waist. The music spun around us lifting away gravity. With my not so experienced dance,I couldn't count how many times I had crushed his foot . Still he smiled gently as my heels clicked over the ballroom floor. He watched as my hair spun out and bounced more with each move and beat.  All that mattered was the person in front of me. That was perfect. This was dancing and art coming to life.

The lights were twinkling with every step and we began smiling at every spin. I love things like these.The slow music twirled like thread around us. I rested my head on his chest,held each others arms and we made the final move. The piano came in, then the violin, and then the slow music beating the floor. I think this would be the best dance ever .And the music slowed, and we met at the hands. I looked up into his soft brown eyes, and smiled.
