My Last Hunt

Chapter 228: Journey (29)

Journey (29)

They actually left without getting acquainted?

It was spending some time just for the sake of getting grateful words in return and also curious questions about the blood hunter. So Qiao wanted them to keep it to themselves. Trio can move slowly with the aspect that they were rendering some help before nonetheless he cannot entirely halt the journey. This way Wuza was saved from questioning. He was also not willing to meet the hunter and hear their discouraging remarks. It was long ago that the blood hunters were banned from the main stream of hunting. So when a normal hunter would know about him being blood hunter; he would definitely get hyped.

"They are leaving?" one of the hunters saw their fading figures and voiced puzzled. "Perhaps they are travelers from Middletown; they are going toward the third island. But they should have rested some time before leaving." The team leader spoke confused. Then he remembered about the third hunter his weird actions. He was not a normal hunter from his looks. Normal hunters do not have blood red eye with the blood veins popping at the jawline. "So they left to avoid the questioning?" the hunter asked from the leader.

"Not really; if they happened afraid of disclosing anything then they might not have appeared for helping." The team leader shook away this possibility. "At least we could have become acquainted." The hunter sighed. "You could when you return back the Hightown." The leader answered stabbing his sword on the ground because the ground plates were moving for relocation. "The more important is the fact that a bigger attack of the monsters went useless this time. We are able to save the mountain despite the higher threat." The leader concluded. The way the troops of the monsters suddenly came for attack could have turned pathetic situation for them. No matter if the travelers abide by the conventional rules or they did favor; it was evident that mountain was safe again. Nonetheless it also brought new conflict; they have to make a report about it and tell the Hightown. It could have become disastrous losing the Nest for Hightown as well as for this team. The monsters were agitated because of the constant relocation of the ground plates. The hunters have no power over this phenomenon. They would report the incident to the Hightown and see what conclusion they come by.

The Hightown has power to relocate the monsters from this island toward the nearest and safe one. The higher level hunters can harness the monsters toward the Vaga Hillocks where the monsters could live with peace. It would also end the conflict and huge number of monsters would also settle in the Vaga Hillocks increasing the responsibility on the shoulders of the Middletown Guild's. Nevertheless it would worth it. The monsters would not have to confront or revolt against the hunter team on the top of mountain. The relocation resulted many dead bodies fell in the water staining it red for some time.

The four hunters and their appearance were in mess after the bloody battle. Their clothes were charred or raged during fight. There was blood on their hands as well as remaining clothes. They looked at the sky filled with grey clouds; it was sign that the rain was expected. "Goodness that the rain should clean the blood stains from the surrounding else the blood smell would make me puke my innards." The fourth hunter who was silent until now added. He was glad that timely helpers appeared and bothered nothing else. 'When there was a whole garden of fruits to taste then why keep counting the eaten one?'

Trio stopped when the ground plates gave a sign. They were now at the other part of Angry Dales. The wind was slightly lame mix of hot and mild. It was because of the gathering clouds. Qiao stood and witnessed the moving and relocation. He hoped that he could see some broken plates to get some water. His hands were stained and the sword also needed to be cleaned. After the phenomenon occurred; fortunately he ended up in front of a broken ground plate. Lowa and Wuza were also with him this time.

Qiao cleaned his sword first and then some of the stains from his clothes. Lowa splashed water on her face; the tainted shapeless weapon also got bathed. This weapon helped her in leveling up. It was not just helpful nonetheless exceptionally crafted. The hunter was sure fortunate to have this weapon still he has big heart to lend it someone else. If it was her she might have thought thousand times before giving it even for a short moment. "There is a blood tint on your face." Lowa pointed. For a handsome and fair face; the blood stain was overly visible. Qiao splashed some water to wash away the blood stain.

The wind was as usually unusual. His short hair moved to and fro while the loose shirt put on a display his well-built broad chest and the well-crafted arm muscles. Lowa feasted her eyes for the time being until Qiao stood up. It was one from hundred chances and perhaps in the future she would not meet such feast. Qiao intentionally ignored her pleased eyes. "We are moving now. The direction of the air is the best map to follow for now. We have to move against it to reach the third island." Qiao pointed his left. It happened that after relocation their position changed.

They were moving opposite before and now toward left. Keep in mind that we need to close in the distance before the Next relocation stop our advancement." Qiao guided. Who knows the next relocation might send them away from the third island. It would look like a struggle to walk against the treadmill over and over again. "Sure; I have collected some of the blood and imbibed as well as per the order." Wuza showed his overflowing storage bag and the bloody teeth with happy mood.
