My Last Hunt

Chapter 355: Level Battles 29

Level Battles 29

They crossed the forest with the normal pace. When Qiao reached near the waterfall he felt the presence of extra force of hunters in the Hunter Association. It was something unusual. In his all previous visits he did not see many native hunters much less affiliated or mission holders.

"Looks like there is something urgent." Qiao murmured and hurried. He fixed his appearance; combed his hair and cleaned the fleece that was covered with the dust. His fleece was expensive and it was made using the skin of level seven monster with the special characteristics.

As soon as he cleaned with the fresh water; it renewed its fine look and shine. Golden maroon streaks were carved with intricacy to make it distinctive from the normal fleeces of the same level. His level token was hung on his chest. His assets and belongings were packed in the leather bag. He kept it always hidden so that none of the hunter caught wind of it.

After a while he was ready to cross the entrance of the Hunter Association. Qiao noticed three affiliated hunters and tens of native hunters. They were talking randomly and discussing something.

The elder on the main desk was instructing a native level six hunter to bring the said affiliated hunter from the fifth Sepedra. Qiao walked toward the first desk. The senior sitting there looked up and smiled. "Good thing; you saved our time." The senior hurried toward the main desk and informed the elder.

They gestured the level six hunter to leave and called Qiao. The elders had been preparing and gathering their hunters for the mission sent by the Hightown. One of the elder thoroughly glanced at Qiao. He then silently gestured toward the other elder. Both were present when the elder from the Hightown talked about this specific hunter. They were stunned however they did not talk in his presence.

"There is a new mission and we were waiting for you. Since you are here, let us finalize the mission details. Till then you can sit at the first desk." The elder politely spoke. Qiao nodded and went toward the first desk. "You let him wait on my chair?" the senior was displeased seeing the elders getting lenient toward this hunter.

The elder glared seriously, "Make it clear first whether your chair is important or the safety of the Hightown is important." The elder voiced annoyed. The senior could not speak further.

Two elders exchanged glances and resumed their topic. "The words of the Elder Lord are proved truth. Are we going to let him lead others and send for this mission? We cannot exclude him from this mission." First elder voiced. Second elder nodded. "He can lead the team and make the migration safe in my opinion." Second elder spoke out.

He had been observing and writing the report which was recently sent toward Hightown. Their present recommendation was based on the success of the mission. "Our native hunters are not much troublesome however the three affiliated hunters are very problematic. I am not sure if he could handle them all in a team." The third elder voiced his concerns.

They paused for few moments deliberating. "We are obliged to follow the orders of Hightown." The first elder took deep breath and decided. They agreed and called the hunter in the main office. The two seniors left and the first elder gestured Qiao to sit on the chair.

"I am sure your hunting in the fifth Sepedra had been smooth." The first elder started conversation. "Indeed I was busy in these days. I hope senior Kugong is doing fine." Qiao talked about the senior hunter first. They brought slight smile and the second elder spoke, "He is healing fast and wished to meet you soon however there is urgent mission for you to handle. The migration of thousand over monsters has started recently at the North last boundaries. They will cross six islands in the way from the thread line of the Sepedra toward the next continent. Here is the map." The elder spread the map in front and pointed important places.

Qiao took careful glance at the map and prudently heard the elder. "Your mission is to guide and keep strict lookout at the migration. There the three islands habitat human population along with the Nest. The Nest has only level six peak hunters so they would not take part in the mission. Your responsibility is clear. The monsters should not enter in the human towns. And the Nest should remain safe." The second elder pointed on the cottage symbols marked on the map.

Qiao noted their expressions and the tone. It was clear that this mission was especially for him. "There will be level seven hunters responsible to work under your orders in this mission as you can see some hunters standing in the first open hall." The elder twitched when he talked about the hunters.

"I got it. I will try my best to save the towns and let the monsters travel toward the destiny without much trouble." Qiao picked the map and spoke.

"Here are some of the sources in case you need them." The elder opened small pouch and picked out two stones. These were sent by the Hightown. Though the elder told that they have given two level eight stones to the hunter yet the Lord Elder insisted to handover these two again.

The Rank Masters did not want the hunter ran out of sources in any trouble. They could trade more powerful stones but could not loss ambitious and stronger hunter. Qiao kept the stones and stood up. He left Lam outside of the entrance of the Hunter Association because he did not intend to brag anything.

"I will take my leave now." Qiao gestured the loyalty sign toward the Hightown and came out of the small office. One of the elder walked behind him. They reached in the first open hall and the elder voiced to get the attention of the hunters.

"Your mission will begin today under the affiliated Hunter Qiao." The elder pointed and introduced team leader.
