"Hanako... why?"

Still holding onto the rope, she turned her head towards me and replied with a sad voice,

"Yuuji... I... already know everything."

"Huh?"

"The things that happened yesterday. Mio told me all about it."

It took me a moment to realize what she was talking about. Once I realized though, I immediately understood why she tried to commit suicide.

"You don't have to do this, Hanako..."

With tears streaming from her eyes, she tried to keep a steady voice and replied back to me in a rather pitiable posture.

"I... I love you Yuuji."

"I love you so much that it hurts."

"However... I also don't want to extinguish your happiness."

"Yuuji... Goodbye..."

With those words said, she put the ropes over her neck once more. This time, though, I chose a rather violent method to ensure that she does not kill herself.

"YOU IDIOT!"

*Bam*

I kicked her in the stomach from the front, causing her head to get out of the knot and sent her flying a few metres backwards.

Uh... I might have been a little too violent there...

Once she regained her composure, she looked at me dumbfounded, not understanding why I kicked her.

"Nee, Hanako."

"Hm?"

"Seiza!"

"Wait a sec... wasn't I always the one who told you to do that?"

"It doesn't matter right now, seiza!"

Apparently, she still got some consciousness left in her to retort to my joke...

"So... Hanako? Why did you even try to kill yourself?"

"Well... you got 'intimate' with Mio last night, right? And Mio told me that you'd be marrying her in the future. So, I don't want to get in between you two, but since I couldn't stand seeing you be with other women either, I decided to..."

"ARE YOU A FOOL?!?!"

"Ouch!"

I flicked my finger at her forehead several times. How can this girl be so stupid...

"First of all... even though I did get 'intimate' with Mio, it was because of the circumstances!!!"

"Wha...?"

"Secondly, I did not remember agreeing to the marriage at all, you know?!?!"

"Wha?!?!"

"And lastly, even if I did agree to the marriage, it is not a reason for you to kill yourself, right?!?!"

"Ah!!!"

Finally regaining her rational thinking, she let out an exclamation. Still... that's not going to save her from the upcoming lecture, though...

"Seiza!!!"

And thus, I gave her a lecture all day long.

Oh, and just because I felt like it, I decided to sleep over at her place today and give her plenty of 'love'. The lecture can continue tomorrow...
