Today's setting was that of a palace. Princess Suying (Yin Mian) went to her father because she had been called upon. Her father, the king informed her that they were at the verge of war. "My daughter, the kingdom of satu wants to rise up against us in war." The king informed. "But father can't the war be avoided, the last war fought claimed many of our soldiers and the kingdom of satu is known for their brave warriors." Princess Suying lamented.

"My dear there is only one way." The king said rising up from his throne. He went to princess Suying whose head was still bowed and held her hand. "Suying my dear,I have sent an envoy to negotiate with the king of satu and he said the only way to avoid war is a peace treaty through marriage. My dear, the king of satu wants you to marry his son,prince Yanxun (Lu Xianjian)" The king said raising her up.

"Father I can't, I just can't marry that man. He's too full of himself, he won't love or cherish me. He'll only see me as a prize to boost his ego and boast to his friends." Princess Suying complained.

"Well then we will just have to go to war with satu, whatever the outcome is,I pray our forefathers help us." The king prayed and was about was about to leave when Princess Suying (Yin Mian) stopped him. "Father wait! I'll marry Prince Yanxun, I must fulfill my duties as a princess whether I like it or not. Tell them I'll marry him." Princess Suying declared.

"I have always known you to be a brave girl,my blessings are always with you dear." The king said. A message was sent and a few months later, the marriage between Princess Suying and Prince Yanxun was conducted.
