The case was taken to court and there was a hearing. The first hearing was very tough, Lu Xianjian's lawyer told the judge that she had dumped the child when she was born and that Yin Mian was only clinging on to the child now because she wanted to use her against his client, Lu Xianjian.

Yin Mian was shocked, Lu Xianjian's lawyer was turning the truth upside down, every single thing he said were lies.

Luckily, President Chen also got a very smart lawyer. Yin Mian was called by her lawyer to the witness box to say the truth after which Lu Xianjian's lawyer objected and tried to turn the case against her.

The case was postponed and there was another hearing in about two weeks. This time, Yin Mian's lawyer came fully prepared. Yin Mian's mother and Wei Ying were both witnesses to what truly happened and they were called to the witness box to testify. Both said the truth and all went well for Yin Mian but when it seemed she was about to win the case, Lu Xianjian's lawyer managed to turn the case against her once more with fake evidence and witnesses.

The case lasted longer than both party anticipated, it took two months. It was finally the day, the last hearing which would decide Yiren's fate and Yin Mian's marriage.
