My queen is rebelling!

#13 - Advanced Extraordinary

Late at night, inside the Middleton Earl's manor, within a secret chamber.

Cohen gazed at the dragon blood placed before him, a strange feeling arising in his heart, his gaze turning towards Snape beside him:

"I've wronged Earl Middleton."

Snape repeatedly shook his head:

"Your Majesty is too kind to this old servant. I failed to protect Your Majesty for the late King; it is this old servant who has been derelict in his duty."

The bottle of dragon blood before them was from the royal treasury, requested by Cohen through Snape from the Prime Minister.

After all, it would be too conspicuous for him to retrieve it himself, so he could only entrust it to Earl Middleton.

Poor Earl Middleton, having been at odds with the Prime Minister his entire life, now had to humble himself to request the dragon blood, causing Cohen to feel a sense of guilt.

"Didn't arouse any suspicion, did it?"

Snape shook his head:

"I told Angus that I needed the dragon blood to temper my body. He knows I am a [Totem Warrior], primarily focused on physical strength, so he didn't ask too many questions."

Being able to exchange a bottle of dragon blood, which currently has limited use, for the compromise of the opposition faction in the cabinet, was undoubtedly a very worthwhile deal for Angus.

Cohen nodded slightly. Besides the bottle of dragon blood on the table, there were also ninth-order magic beast bones used to outline the spell imprint.

Snape said:

"The beast bone is the thigh bone of a legendary-level 'War Lizardman.' I don't know if it will be usable."

Cohen nodded and said, "It's enough."

He opened the blood bottle, and a vast dragon might rushed towards him. Snape was prepared, and his aura as a peak Gold-tier instantly enveloped the secret chamber, without a trace of dragon energy leaking out.

Picking up the beast bone, he gently dipped it in the dragon blood and lightly drew a stroke in the air. The thick dragon blood condensed in the void without dispersing.

Cohen breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed to be genuine dragon blood. Steadying his mind, he began to outline according to the method etched in the depths of his memory.

As time passed, the runes gradually took shape.

The dragon might in the secret chamber grew increasingly strong. At the same time, strands of golden power permeated through the profound runes, beginning to sweep over Cohen's body.

As the last stroke heavily fell, the entire secret chamber instantly lit up brightly, illuminating it as if it were daytime. A rune radiating a brilliant golden color slowly floated before the two of them.

Cohen calmed his mind and focused his energy, guiding the rune to fly towards his hand.

With a buzz, like a red-hot branding iron searing the palm of his hand, a violent pain struck, almost causing him to pass out.

Immediately afterward, a violent and chaotic dragon power began to impact his body and soul. After a cleansing that lasted for several hours, everything returned to calm.

Cohen suddenly opened his eyes, a trace of gold flashing in his dark pupils. His sturdy body exuded a rich dragon might, causing even Snape, who was already at the high-end of the Gold-tier, to feel a secret palpitations.

Extending his right hand, a dragon-shaped mysterious spell imprint slowly emerged—Dragon Mark · Weapon Master, advancement successful!

A series of electronic sounds rang out in succession:

"Weapon Mastery: Mastery of any weapon reaches proficiency."

"Host advances to Bronze, obtains three random runes."

Just like in the previous life's game, players would receive a rune selection each time they advanced a major tier (Bronze, Silver, Gold, Legend, Saint...). These runes were used to form a more powerful combination with their transcendent profession.

A golden light flashed in his eyes, and three rune cards, two gold and one silver, appeared before him:

[Nimble (Silver Quality): Gain 40% attack speed] (Cut the Gordian knot with a swift blade!)

[Universal Scope (Gold Quality): Ranged weapons gain 50% attack distance bonus] (Beyond seven steps, the gun is fast; within seven steps, the gun is both fast and accurate!)

[Add Fuel to the Fire (Gold Quality): Attacks inflict a stacking burning effect, dealing continuous damage] (The one that can stack is the strongest!)

Cohen hesitated for a moment and chose [Add Fuel to the Fire].

This rune with unlimited stacking damage was an effective means of enhancing single-target damage, a decent skill for Cohen, whose profession level was not yet high.

After selecting the rune, the electronic sound had not yet finished—

"Detected host advancing to Transcendent, obtained 2 Attribute Points."

"Dragon Blood Body Tempering, 'Bronze Body' refinement 50%."

The sound ended, and a familiar attribute panel suddenly appeared before Cohen's eyes:

[Name: Cohen Corleone]

[Race: Human]

[Age: 16]

[Attributes: Strength (11), Agility (10), Willpower (10), Intelligence (13), Charisma (18)]

[Talents: Enter Shadow (Level 1), Weapon Mastery]

[Transcendent Profession: Secret Profession, Dragon Mark · Weapon Master. Bronze Body: 50%]

[Profession Level: Tier 1 (Low-Tier Bronze), Experience Value: 0/300]

[Profession Skills: Empty-Handed Blade Snatch (Level 1), Body as Myriad Weapons (Level 1), Counterattack Storm (Level 1)]

[Passive Skill: Weapon Mastery]

The most ⊥ new ⊥ small ⊥ say ⊥ at ⊥ six ⊥ 9 ⊥ ⊥ book ⊥ ⊥ bar ⊥ ⊥ first ⊥ hair!

[Rune: Add Fuel to the Fire]

[Equipment: Ghost Crab]

Looking at the familiar character panel, Cohen's heart trembled slightly.

First, there was the Bronze Body with a completion rate as high as 50%. He had just advanced, and logically, the Bronze Body should have a progress of zero, but after the Dragon Blood Body Tempering, it directly opened to 50%!

That meant Cohen's current physical strength was already comparable to a Bronze mid-tier Transcendent.

Then there was the allocation of Attribute Points.

Cohen added all the Attribute Points gained from leveling up to Willpower. His profession skill "Empty-Handed Blade Snatch" mainly relied on Willpower; only if his Willpower attribute was higher than the opponent's could he successfully snatch the blade.

Looking at the "Experience Value" that appeared on the panel, Cohen's expression shifted slightly. In the game of his previous life, players didn't need to cultivate to level up; they only needed to constantly fight to gain "Experience Value," and they could keep leveling up.

Now that the "Experience Value" function on the panel was activated, it meant that he could also quickly advance through continuous combat, which was a great thing for Cohen, who was short on time.

As everything settled, Snape spoke up and asked:

"Has Your Majesty successfully advanced?"

Even though he was full of confidence in his Majesty, [Dragon Mark · Weapon Master] was, after all, a profession that only existed in records. Earl Middleton couldn't help but feel uneasy in his heart.

Cohen came back to his senses, the corners of his mouth slightly curving. A golden light flashed in his hand, and as the light dissipated, a quaintly shaped, sharply edged scimitar appeared in Cohen's hand.

Mysterious dragon纹 were engraved on the scarlet blade, as if it could split the heavens and earth with a single strike!

With a thought, the golden light covered it, and the scimitar transformed into a round shield, with a ferocious dragon head protruding directly from the center of the shield, ready to devour anyone.

At will, body as myriad weapons!

Seeing this magical scene, Snape had no more doubts in his heart, bowing and saying:

"Your Majesty is truly a genius. Even this 'Secret Profession' that only exists in legends can be successfully advanced. Effie will sooner or later welcome its true monarch!"

Cohen waved his hand and said:

"The court has been uneasy these past two days, hasn't it? What movements are there on the Southern Border's side?"

Snape suppressed his emotions and replied:

"More than uneasy. The Queen's actions in the study are already known to everyone. The ministers are, on the one hand, shocked by the Queen's strength, and on the other hand, quite critical of the Queen's actions. Antagonizing the largest power-holding noble in the country is indeed not a good choice in the current precarious situation."

Snape paused, continuing, "What is surprising is the attitude of the Southern Border. Apart from sending a private letter to the Prime Minister, the Grand Duke of the Southern Border has not made any other moves, not even verbally protesting or appealing to the Senate. It is truly intriguing."

Cohen's eyelids twitched:

"A biting dog doesn't bark. The more it is like this, the more we cannot let our guard down. Earl Middleton, help me keep a close eye on the Southern Border. They must still have allies in the royal capital."

"Yes!"
