My queen is rebelling!

#84 - Asuna (Available tomorrow, please pre-order!)

Having seen Grace off, who got what she wanted, Isabella was preparing to rest when a maid brought news.

The news she had asked someone to inquire about regarding the widowed Viscountess Karin Molders had arrived.

The Viscountess's residence was located less than a hundred miles from her private residence.

Isabella took out the letter Cohen had given her before leaving, originally intending to have someone deliver it.

After thinking about it, since she had nothing else to do, she decided to make the trip herself.

The Viscountess was taken aback when she received the report from the guard.

Although the Molders family was considered to have a small position in the Central Empire,

it was still a far cry from the "Golden Wing Family" that controlled the "Pale Wing" across the continent.

Her gestures still retained the elegance and poise of a noble.

After leading Isabella into the reception room, the two exchanged polite greetings, and finally, Isabella stated her purpose:

"I apologize for disturbing you, Madam, but I am entrusted to deliver a letter."

The Viscountess was relieved. She had initially thought that someone from her family had caused trouble and offended the Daughter of the Golden Wings, and that she had come to question them.

Seeing that it was just a private matter, she breathed a sigh of relief and casually asked:

"I wonder which friend it is that would trouble Miss Winser to deliver the letter in person."

Isabella did not answer directly, but instead asked:

"Does Madam have a squire named Asna in your household?"

The Viscountess frowned slightly, revealing obvious doubt:

"Indeed, Asna is my squire. Could this letter be for Asna?"

Isabella nodded and said:

"Yes, it is from a friend of mine, who asked me to pass this letter to her."

Isabella took out the letter Cohen had given her.

The Viscountess summoned a maid, and soon, resounding footsteps were heard.

Asna Eliat was lithe and vigorous, tall and slender, wearing silver armor with traces of swords and knives.

Her soft, shiny chestnut hair was tied high, her nose was straight, her eyes were as bright as stars, and her slightly raised eyebrows revealed an innate heroism.

Her lips were slightly pursed, her expression was serious, and her damp hair and slightly panting breath showed that she had just been undergoing arduous training.

Even without smiling, she had a captivating charm.

Isabella raised her eyebrows slightly, sneering inwardly, so this was the "not pretty" Cohen was talking about?

Ha! A man's mouth!

The Viscountess frowned slightly when she saw Asna's attire and asked:

"Have you been fighting with someone again?"

Asna lowered her head slightly, but her voice was extremely penetrating:

"Viscountess, I just want to break through to the extraordinary as soon as possible and become your true knight!"

The Viscountess sighed and said:

"Talent is innate, there is no need to force it.

Isn't it good to be an ordinary person?

With your looks, there's no need to work so hard."

Asna pursed her red lips even tighter, without replying.

Isabella opened her mouth at the right time:

"Is this Miss Asna Eliat?"

Only then did the Viscountess realize that there was still a guest here, and she quickly introduced:

"Asna, this is the heir of the Golden Wing Family, Miss Isabella Winser."

A look of surprise flashed in Asna's eyes, and she gave a stiff salute:

"Hello, Miss Winser."

Isabella returned the greeting in the same way, and then handed the letter in her hand to the other party:

"A friend of mine asked me to give this letter to you. He said you would understand after reading it."

"He?"

Asna took the letter in confusion, muttering:

"I don't seem to have any male friends with whom I correspond."

Thinking this, she unfolded the letter and began to read it in front of the two without any intention of avoiding suspicion.

The Viscountess smiled helplessly at Isabella.

Isabella didn't mind, but instead felt that Asna's straightforward personality suited her taste.

Asna unfolded the letter, and the unfamiliar handwriting made her frown slightly.

She continued to read, and soon, the expression on her face changed from flat to astonished, followed by a hint of excitement and disbelief.

Her plain white hands tightly gripped the letter, and her eyes revealed all kinds of complex emotions. She opened her mouth and asked Isabella:

"Miss Winser, what does the friend who gave you the letter look like? What is he?"

Isabella was slightly surprised. Judging from Asna's expression, the letter clearly mentioned something extremely important to her.

It seemed that Cohen wasn't talking nonsense about being an old friend of Asna's father.

She said calmly:

"He is a very charming young man. As for his identity, I can only tell you that he is definitely a trustworthy friend."

Isabella's ambiguous words made Asna even more surprised, and she couldn't help but ask:

"Young man? Are you sure?"

Isabella nodded firmly.

Asna walked back and forth holding the letter. Finally, she said to the Viscountess with a firm gaze:

"Madam, please forgive my rudeness, but I want to leave the Molders family!"

The Viscountess was taken aback and asked:

"Child, what do you mean by leaving?"

Asna raised the letter in her hand, her voice suppressing her excitement:

"The person who wrote the letter told me that he has news of my father's disappearance!"

The Viscountess was even more surprised and said:

"Hasn't Old Eliat been missing for five years? Why is there suddenly news? Could it be a scammer..."

She stopped abruptly before finishing her sentence, and smiled apologetically at Isabella.

Asna shook her head firmly:

"It can't be a scammer. The letter said a lot about my father, and he even knows some of my habits.

These details could only have been said by my father himself.

The person who wrote the letter must have met my father.

Madam, I must go there.

The only condition he mentioned was... was that he asked me to meet him as a free person.

So please forgive my rudeness, I want to withdraw from the Molders family!"

Of course, there was one more thing Asna didn't say in the letter, and that was that the letter writer claimed to know her mother!

Mother, these two words were a very distant memory in Asna's mind.

She had no mother by her side since she could remember.

Asna had already made a decision, she had to see the person who wrote her the letter no matter what.

The Viscountess clearly understood Asna's personality, and she shook her head slightly:

"There's no need to talk about withdrawing or not, you originally had no obligation to be loyal to our family.

Your father has already dedicated everything to the Molders family."

A look of gratitude appeared on Asna's face, and she said:

"Madam, I will always remember your kindness."

The Viscountess turned to look at Isabella and said softly:

"Miss Winser, I would like to confirm one last time, is this friend you mentioned really reliable?

Don't blame me for being suspicious, Asna is a very simple girl, and I don't want her to be deceived and hurt."

Isabella's heart was beating wildly.

She knew that Cohen had a certain ability to predict the future, but even the most powerful prediction ability couldn't possibly deduce everything about Asna's father so clearly.

The many details that Asna had just mentioned couldn't be explained by prediction ability alone.

Could it be that Cohen really knew Asna's father?

Facing the Viscountess's burning gaze, Isabella gritted her teeth and replied firmly:

"Viscountess, I guarantee you in the honor of the Golden Wing Family that this gentleman will never harm Miss Asna Eliat!"
