My Two Dads

Chapter 45.1

Chapter 45.1 - About The Days When Your Spouse Isn't Home 3 Part 1

After the short vacation had passed, Yang Han was going to face her final exams.

The pre-exam tension in the atmosphere had grown thicker. Around this time, students would start to have empty gazes, mumbling the keywords in their mouths repeatedly even when they go to the bathrooms. Homeroom teachers would also begin to emphasize that their salaries were earned through their own efforts, and so the students’ grades were also solely their own responsibility.

Since their high school prohibited from bringing any reading materials out of the teaching syllabus, Xu Jia could only flip back and forth through her copies of sample essays to rid herself of boredom. When the class representative came back with a stack of new ones, everyone was so happy like it was New Year’s Eve.

Xu Jia woke up the eldest princess and the rest of her harem, then handed each of them a copy of the new essay material.

She flipped through them with brimming interest, only stopping when she came across a colorful portrait that took up the entire page.

Xu Jia: “!”

She hurriedly shook Yang Han awake and called, “Yang Yang!”

Yang Han was hanging on her last breath solving a math question, so she said, “What…”

Xu Jia spread out the booklet in front of her and whispered, “Look who this is.”

Yang Han slowly moved her gaze to the portrait. Unsurprising to her, it was Han Shi Yu.

Yang Han turned her head back and continued to rest on the table. Lazily, she mumbled, “That’s all?”

“…..” Xu Jia said, “Can’t you express a little bit of awe?”

Yang Han took it as something normal and said, “I got used to it.”

Seeing that the eldest princess was indifferent, Xu Jia shrugged her shoulders before folding the corner of the page. She planned on sneakily reading through this article during language class next.

The morning went by smoothly and during lunch break, Xu Jia switched on her phone and stumbled upon an article that said—

“Sisters, it really works! As someone who never got over 110 in mathematics, I got 1201 with this!”

There was a picture of a desk attached, with books stacked up below a photo. On the desk was respectfully written, ‘passing every exam for sure’.

Xu Jia zoomed in on the photo, only to realize it was a photo of Han Shi Yu, whom she saw in the essay today.

The comments on the post:

“I came back to return the favor.”

“I’m not lying, but it really works. I feel like I can take on 10 Shou Cheng University now.”

Looking at all the comments, Xu Jia’s eyes went wide.

She was an extremely superstitious girl.

Yang Han, who had been tortured for 4 classes straight, was feeling a little sleepy during lunch break and came in slightly late in the afternoon. Her group of friends had already arrived long before she did.

She yawned and dragged her exhausted, sluggish body heavily through the door, seeing many Han Shi Yu’s faces in a daze.

At first, she thought she was hallucinating so she backed out of the classroom and went to wash her face in the bathroom. Once she confirmed that she had woke up, she walked into the classroom again.

Yang Han: ‘……”

On top of Xu Jia, Liu Zuo Ye, Lu Yue Ming, Shang Xue, Fang Jia and the class president’s desks were Ji Xun’s president, Han Shi Yu’s colorful portraits. They were all torn out from the essay. The same words were written on every desk, ‘passing every exam for sure’.

“What are you doing!” Yang Han said in shock, “Are you starting a cult?”

Xu Jia answered, “This is my last effort of struggle before our finals.”

Yang Han looked at Lu Yue Ming and Liu Zuo Ye in disbelief, “Why did you two went along with her too!”

Liu Zuo Ye raised her eyebrow innocently and said, “Just jumping onto the bandwagon.”

Lu Yue Ming also said, “What if it really works?”

No wonder their homeroom teacher always stressed on the importance of a class’ learning style. If the atmosphere wasn’t good, then it would seriously lead the entire class into being idiots together. Even the smartest, brightest students couldn’t avoid falling victim to it.

Yang Han gestured emptily for a long time, unable to form any words. At the end, she could only sigh and hold up a book to cover her face, pretending she didn’t know the group of people around her now.

Han Shi Yu, who had somehow became the symbol of worship for senior class 10, was currently bored out of his mind while recuperating from his injuries at Han Lang’s home.

His mother had work, so the only one accompanying Han Shi Yu at home was Gu Gu.

The little short-legged corgi was lying on the floor, looking at the cripple with his head tilted to the side. There seemed to be a sense of sympathy in those eyes.

Han Shi Yu picked him up and hugged him in his arms as he scrolled through his phone mindlessly.

“How capable of you,” Zhou Yi came over to visit after he caught wind of the news. He was also made to peel an apple by this young master, “What did you even do to end up breaking your legs?”

Han Shi Yu took a nibble of the apple and said, “Stalking Xiao Yang.”

“Oh,” Zhou Yi said, “Then you deserved it.”

“Old Zhou, would you say that…a girl around 16 to 17 years old already have the impulsive urge to fall in love?”

Zhou Yi answered, “Yeah, it’s usually around that age.”

Han Shi Yu fell into deep thought for a moment. He tried recalling his time in highschool, where he had no sudden surge of intense emotions or subtle impulses towards the opposite sex. It was as if his hormones were all used up during his junior highschool time, so he didn’t have any experience with this hazy, vague romance.

Han Shi Yu: “I think…It’s just a feeling, but Yang Han seems kind of like she wants to date someone.”

“You stalked Yang Yang because of this?” Zhou Yi frowned, “Then you not only deserve it, but also you’re a pervert.”

“Tsk,” This guy really would scold him 3 sentences from the 4 sentences he said. Han Shi Yu grumbled, “I’m being serious here.”

Zhou Yi: “You should look for Brother Mo or Auntie to talk about this with.”

The mention of Yang Mo instantly made Han Shi Yu guilty, so he changed the subject and said, “We’re a pair who loved each other to death in the world of fanfictions at least. Why can’t we talk about it?”

The moment fanfictions were mentioned, Zhou Yi felt a sharp pain in his stomach. He stabbed the knife into the apple and said, “If you mention this matter again, I’ll break your other foot too.”

Han Shi Yu let out a few laughs.

Zhou Yi was a textbook straight guy. A married one even, with a three-year-old son. He wasn’t disgusted by these fanfictions and even occasionally read the ones that Han Shi Yu sent over.

However, but for the main characters to be discussing the fanfictions, it would be awkward for just anyone as well.

Han Shi Yu sighed, “I once thought if my future son-in-law treated Yang Han well, and also has excellent qualities, then I’ll just give Ji Xun directly to him.”

“……” That sounded a lot like dialogues from a TV drama, particularly of a rich, powerful family. Zhou Yi was speechless for quite a while before he opened his mouth to speak again, “What if she doesn’t get married…”

“If Xiao Yang does well and is still single, then I’ll hand over Ji Xun directly to her.” Han Shi Yu leaned back and crossed his arms like an arrogant, powerful CEO.

“You’re only 35,” Zhou Yi said as a matter of fact, “Hand over, my ass.”

Han Shi Yu said dejectedly, “But I don’t even know what Xiao Yang is thinking right now.”

“She’s only 16.” Zhou Yi realized that this guy was a big worrier, “What’s the hurry?”

""

Han Shi Yu couldn’t help but say, “Why do you always have to rain down on my parade.”
