My Unconventional Lover: Seeing A Different World
Chapter 75 - Tom Meets Sanji (1)
Sniff, sniff...
Unconsciously I sniffed the air around me. For a second, I thought I smelt something. It was a mix of flower and something dead which intrigued my curiosity. Was it only my imagination? Did I get involved in their 'world' too much that I was starting to be paranoid?
I could feel that my skill was getting better, but nothing could make me happier than the improvement of my mental state. Sometimes I still flinched, and sometimes I thought I was going crazy, but somehow I managed to stay sane.
Trust me, there's nothing good with being able to see and hear 'them'.
The once peaceful world of mine disappeared in an instant. I heard voices that did not belong to human which made me even more quiet anywhere I went. I needed to make sure that a human was talking to me instead of hastily replying something that was not spoken by human.
Now, I could even smell them. What's more, I could differentiate them into good or evil by their smell.
Just like what I smelt just now.
I was pretty sure it was the smell of evil ghost.
Why did I say so? Of course I had my own reason.
So far, those who were evil, disturbed human a lot, were those who smelt bad. The nastier the smell, the worse they were. In contrast, those who smelt nicer were usually powerful and nice. Of course, all of these information were told by Kunti.
So, what was the meaning of the flowery smell with a hint of rotten flesh?
Easy, it meant this ghost was trying to trick people by tricking them into thinking that she was one of good ghosts. In reality, she was not. She might not bring harm to people, but she was mischievous enough to cause trauma to some people.
I didn't intend to look for this one, of course. I didn't want to get too entangled in this whole ghost affairs and still sought my peaceful life.
Never thought it was too late for me to do so.
Well, at least I could choose not to interfere too much with 'them'.
With that thought in my mind, I turned back my body and continued my steps.
It was dusk, the sunny day left red and orange glow in the sky to accompany the sun to rest. Half of the sky turned dark and thanks to the tall trees and buildings, I couldn't enjoy the beautiful sunset from where I was standing.
Well, I wouldn't enjoy it as much as I used to. Ever since my ability to see 'them' was opened, I couldn't say sunset was enjoyable anymore.
Because at this precise time, I could see them clearly and the time they started to get active. If I were to see the dusk sky in the middle of the city, I would see them flying above the houses, tainting the beautiful sky with their ugly faces. If I were to see the sunset in the sea, the scenery was scarier than the scariest horror movie I've ever watched.
So, if anyone wanted to ask me to see the sunset, I would surely say no.
It was already dark when I got into my dorm. With my favorite fried rice in my right hand, I was stunned to see a strange view that had never happened before in front of my dorm.
When I was still with Senior Rizal, this feeling had never appeared. The anxiety was nowhere to be found back then.
But somehow, seeing Tom, who finally was able to come out from the room, stood in front of the dorm with Sanji who was looking at him with a deep frown on his face, made my heart jumpy from anxiety.
What are they doing? I screamed inside my head.
I watched both of their expression, trying to figure what was going on. Tom had a serious expression, even more serious than I had ever seen he became. He stood firm, his already cold body emitting even more cold than he usually was. He looked alert, as if Sanji was his enemy.
Standing in front of him was Sanji, with a deep frown between his eyebrows. Displeasure was clear in his eyes. His body exuded a kind of aura that I had never seen from him before. It felt like an authoritative pressure but I was not for whom.
Well, I didn't feel like he was directing it towards me, so I only had one answer; it was for Tom.
But, I also didn't see Tom being affected by his pressure. So, what was it for? or did he release it unconsciously?
Anyway, until today I still have no idea how I knew he was releasing his aura. It was not like I could see it, but I could say I felt it, I sensed it.
