My Wife Is A Secret Assassin

Samantha was shocked when she saw his beautiful house.

Although she expected his house to be like one of the houses, she saw in magazines but when she actually looked at it, she was astonished. It was better than how she imagined it.

It was a two floored house and had four bedrooms and 4 attached bathrooms in addition to one spacious room only dedicated to Gym, kitchen, living room and a mini gaming room. The floor-to-ceiling windows around the place only added to its charm.

The house was designed in a more contemporary and chic style. Oak floors flow elegantly throughout the open floor plan and the house had new smart features, such as the electronic facial recognition entry system, which offered an extra layer of security. 

The two floored bungalow was surrounded by a big, well maintained lush, grassy yard on its three sides. On entering the house, she was greeted by a big beautiful statue, on moving forward, the big spacious living room came into her view.

The whole living room was designed in beige and brown. The yellow lights were adding a charm to the colour scheme. There were multiple couches placed at different corners and there were various types of seaters placed there. The furniture was pointing at a big 70-inches Television, which already became a favourite of Samantha. 

Chance showed Samantha the master bedrooms and she was surprised to know there were actually two of them. Both open up to pergolas.

There was a fire pit and a raised pool which made Samantha want to dive deep into it. His house was definitely a relaxing retreat. It was more like a holiday home and she couldn't imagine how fun it must have been for Chance to live here actually instead of just holidaying.

"I love your home" Samantha declared and comfortably sat on one of the couches in the living room.

"Our home" Chance corrected her and kissed her forehead.

"Don't go so ahead of yourself" Samantha warned him. Chance just smiled and didn't annoy her.

They spent some time just talking about random stuff and with Samantha excitedly checking out his new place.

Chance got the message that he needs to leave now.

"Sam, I need to go for my work" He informed her.

"Oh, okay. Have fun" She was still looking around his amazing home and she realized she would never have enough of it.

"Will you be fine here alone?" He asked her worriedly.

"Chance, I am not a five-year old. I'll be fine."

Chance pecked on Samantha's cheek, "Wish me luck" 

Samantha kissed him back, "All the best, I hope whatever work you are going for is successful"

Chance smiled and took a long breath and suddenly hugged her closer. Samantha was confused but before she could say something, Chance kissed her forehead.

"I'll be back soon" He seriously said before leaving from there.

Samantha wondered why was he looking so serious. Assuming it is some important project, she didn't bother herself.

Chance stepped out of his home, David was already outside the gate waiting for him in the car with Excalibur.

"Why are we here?" Excalibur asked David who picked him up from the airport.

"Chance Miller lives here." David calmly answered.

"Oh, then let's go inside"

"No need, he is coming out" David looked straight ahead and didn't even turn around to face the anxious old man.

Just then Chance came out and sat in the car. He sat in the front passenger seat next to David while Excalibur was sitting behind.

"Oh, you are Chance?" Excalibur asked Chance after David started driving away from here.

"Hmm" Chance didn't wish his time talking to this man, he didn't give a damn about him.

"Did your father tell you about me?" Excalibur asked him.

"No"

Excalibur was surprised to know Chance's dad never mentioned him to his son. He was offended to know so.

"How dare he?"

'Excuse me?" Chance didn't like anyone badmouthing his dad and would not let a person be if he dares to insult his father in front of him.

"I am a very important person, so he should have told you about me. Why would he not?" Excalibur was thinking loudly.

"Maybe you are not as important to him as you think you are" Chance coldly taunted him angering the old man.

"Nonsense. I am definitely important" Excalibur hated the fact that Chance was looking down on him.

"No, you are not. My father mentioned a lot of important people, but you never came up" Chance didn't care about anything else and openly provoked him.

"I am very important to your father. He even gave me 10 million Dollars" Excalibur revealed in frustration.

Right now, Excalibur's state was not good. He just lost his mother and that too in the hands of the man he hated the most. Only finding and killing Exterminator was on his mind and nothing else. 

So, he was easily annoyed and got provoked by Chance's words. In his fit of rage, he revealed the fact of receiving so much money from Chance's father making the small plan of Chance and David successful as they wished to get this information from Excalibur.

After Chance left New York the last time, David dug very deep and tried to find out the reason behind Chance's father giving away so much money to Excalibur. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't find any information.

So, Chance told David that they will find out this information too from Excalibur before killing him tonight.

Their plan to provoke Excalibur worked.

"I don't believe it, my father would never giveaway such a huge amount of money to someone unimportant. Even if he does, he would at least mention it to me but he didn't. Which meant you were not important and neither he gave you the money you are claiming he gave you." Chance declared.

Excalibur laughed hard when he heard Chance's reasoning.

"There would be another reason that you forgot to mention, young man. He wouldn't tell you because he was ashamed of sharing it" Excalibur again laughed.

Chance was boiling in anger and he wanted to stop the car and kill the man right away as he can't take it if anyone insults his father, the man who take care of him and treated him like his own son after he lost both his parents.

David patted Chance on the shoulder, asking him to calm down. Excalibur laughed harder seeing this exchange.

"You know why your dad was ashamed?" Excalibur asked Chance, who didn't respond to him and kept looking straight ahead.

"I am taking your silence as yes. Because of your dad's carelessness, I got hold on all the information of the organization your dad was running. I had the list of all the assassins who were working for you. And guess what, I even got their personal information. Your father should have added proper security to his computer but he didn't, making it easier for me to hack into his system and download all the confidential information that can bring down your whole organization down."

"So, you were blackmailing him?" David concluded this from what Excalibur said.

"Hey, don't call it blackmailing. Call it a business exchange. I exchanged the information I had on his organization with 10 million Dollars. Such a cheap deal I made. I should have asked for 100 million Dollars instead; I am sure that fool would have agreed to it"

SCREEECHH!!!

David was enraged and he suddenly pressed the brakes of the car making it skid slightly and halt with a loud noise.

Due to this sudden action, Excalibur fell forward and Chance grabbed him and smashed his head on the car dashboard.

Excalibur was confused as these people were supposed to help him, he therefore didn't understand why he was beating him up instead.

Before Excalibur could realize what is happening and could come back to his senses, Chance got out the car and pulled the man out.

Chance punched, kicked and beat the man left, right and centre to his heart's content. He removed all the frustration he had inside him on Excalibur.

He was annoyed to know this man blackmailed his father, blackmailed the man who gave a good life to Excalibur and took so much money from him.

Now, Chance and David realized why they had to go through so much security while accessing files from Chance's dad's computer that was in his study room. After being blackmailed by Excalibur, Chance's dad increased the security on all the computers.

Chance felt bad knowing, his dad was in stress and he didn't even share it with him and suffered alone.

It was not a small thing. If the information that Excalibur had was actually exposed out to the public and even worse, if the information reached the mafia world, then all the assassins would have been killed at some or the other point of time.
