"Exactly, also I was so jealous that Danger-Ace got this opportunity and I didn't" Chance recollected how upset he was when he thought she was trained by his idol.

"Oh yeah, you even wondered how the hell Danger-Ace managed to get a golden opportunity like this whereas you didn't"

"Hmm, but I think I got my answer on this trip"

"And that is?" David was curious.

"Danger-Ace is The Exterminator's daughter" Chance revealed the truth to David who was surprised and it took him few seconds to process it.

"Chance, are you really sure about it? I mean they are all your theories, right?"

"Did my theory ever go wrong?"

"Man, this is crazy" David was still surprised.

"Yeah, but they are not biologically related, he mostly adopted her, as only that is what makes sense as Samantha really lost her birth parents at a very young age"

"Oh"

"There is more to her than what we know" Chance seriously declared.

"Obviously, there is more to you too" David made fun of him.

"Hmm, but I am really curious to know everything about Samantha" Chance confessed.

"Chance, give her that space, if there is something, she doesn't want to let you know, never force her to spill the truth" David seriously advised him.

"Of course, I would never do anything like that. But now I am worried as her past doesn't seem to be very simple. I was lucky to have uncle with me, what if she was not that lucky?"

"Hey, what are you saying, she has The Exterminator, what else could she ask for"

Chance smiled when he heard these words. 

"True, I just hope she didn't suffer in any way before meeting him"

"I am sure she didn't, don't worry so much." David patted him on the shoulder.

Chance smiled at him but he still looked a bit concerned.

"Chance, look at you being so concerned about Danger-Ace now, remember how you troubled her that time?"

Chance laughed recollecting those days, "Dude, don't you know why everyone refer to me as The Grim Reaper?"

"Of course, I know, you never failed any of your missions. Every target you set your mind on died. Nobody holds this kind of record. Not even The Exterminator."

"Yeah, Danger-Ace messed up our targets once and killed my target. Luckily, I never received that envelope and was unaware of it and that's why my record didn't break. Or else, I would have lost this honourable title that I received"

"Wow, you think 'Grim Reaper' is an honourable title?" David frowned at what Chance said.

"Yes, it is" 

David rolled his eyes and shook his head while adding, "Anyway, it was not her fault, because of some mess up that envelope got delivered to her but you really troubled her man"

"Yeah, at that time I was not aware that she is my future wife, so I troubled her but now I know so I won't repeat anything like that"

"Really?"

"Yeah" Chance confidently answered.

"So, how are we going to contact Danger-Ace for mission L?" David questioned him while crossing his arms across his chest.

"FUCK" Chance shouted as this was their actual plan. Ruining Danger-Ace's missions so that she gets so annoyed with him that she will contact him on the one-way phone.

"Good, now you remember" David smiled seeing Chance's reaction.

"Okay, once she collaborates with us on mission L, then after that I won't trouble her this way" Chance promised himself but David kept smiling cheekily as he knew Chance as well as Grim Reaper very well and there was no way Grim Reaper would let Danger-Ace live in peace.

Chance then narrated the events of his visit to San Diego to David in more detail.

"Wow, it seems she likes you too but is controlling herself." David concluded after hearing what happened.

"Hmm, maybe. Or it can be just my wishful thinking" Chance honestly shared his concern.

"Let's see and why did you not confront her when she burned your number?"

"Why to embarrass her? The next time when we will meet, she will avoid me and if I pursue her after confronting her then it will be very bad. I anyway expected it so it's fine" 

"When are you planning to meet her again?"

"Hmm, let's see. I need her to be in a mission which somehow coincides with my schedule, as in Chance's schedule. So, that she doesn't doubt me when her target would be killed before her approaching them."

"Hmm, we need to plan well"

"We?" 

David laughed, "Sorry, my bad. Although I left the world of assassins, I still couldn't completely let go off it"

"It's okay" Chance patted him.

Then the two went back to their houses.

Few days later, Chance met up with his friends. David and Mia invited them to their home for dinner.

During that meet Chance told them all how much he loves Samantha and informed them of what happened filtering the important parts. They were all surprised to know what happened.

He then informed them that Samantha is of course not that into him and freaked out by his actions, nevertheless he gave her his number and he is hoping for her to contact him.

He lied to them and they all felt bad for Chance. Except for David no one had any idea, about the truth.

They all wished for things to fall into place for Chance as he acted pitifully in front of them.

Two months passed away this way and, in this time, Chance kept an eye on what missions Danger-Ace was taking up and was waiting for the right mission where he can again meet her.

It is not possible for one assassin to know other assassin's missions as they are all very secretive. 

But Chance found a way and asked one of the people who brings missions for them to keep an eye open for the kind of missions that Danger-Ace takes and the person who took up this task is very good at it and was able to figure out with her intelligence and analysis that what mission Danger-Ace would be taking up.

Her predictions are 95% accurate so Chance was confident about her deductions and just as he expected, she informed him that Danger-Ace might be attending a conference in Austin to kill a businesswoman.

She gave Chance all the details of the target.

So, Chance in the last minute, participated in that conference as his company satisfies all the conditions required to be a part of it.

He then planned to attend this conference and portray his presence as a coincidental meeting with Samantha.

To make things look more real he decided to take David along with him as he is his business partner and Carol as she is the representative of their third business partner, Lucas who died.

He knew having Carol around Samantha is a risky thing but he had no choice as Carol is one of their partners and in conferences like these, she should be present.

Chance made all arrangements in advance to kill Ms. Garcia, so he was relaxed.

"Chance, you sure Samantha will come here?" David asked him for the nth time while they were flying to Austin.

"Danger-Ace will be there"

"Oh okay, understood. She is going to be very pissed dude, she will be so angry with you, Chance"

"Nope, she will be angry with Grim Reaper not me as he is the one ruining her plans" Chance seriously said.

"Don't talk like this, it sounds like you are suffering from multi-personality disorder" 

"Sorry"

"You planned how to kill Ms Garcia?"

"Of course."

"Dude you have to be careful, if Danger-Ace will have any doubts on you then all your efforts are only going to go into vain"

Chance chuckled, "I have already planned everything, when the target would die, I would be with Samantha, she is going to be my alibi I'll be hers. Rather you and Carol too will be there." Chance smiled while sharing his future plans.

"Fuck, dude, please don't smile like that. It is very scary" David requested him as Chance's spine-chilling smile made him look more blood-curdling.

"What nonsense? My smile is very charming" 

"Yeah, that is when you normally smile but when you talk about killings and smile, it looks petrifying."

Chance chuckled at his words, "Okay, I won't smile" 

"Also, Chance, do you remember how Carol reacted when you told her how you have fallen in love with Samantha, during that dinner?" David had another concern which he wanted to discuss with Chance.

"Hmm, so?"

"Wouldn't it be trouble to have Carol and Samantha at the same place?"

"Why would it be? Carol is a friend and I never crossed my line with her"

"Yeah, but what if Carol tries to make things difficult for Samantha" David was worried as he knew Carol was not someone who is easy to handle.

Chance laughed louder, "Dude, seriously? You should be more worried about Carol."
