My Wife is the Asura Empress

Chapter 165: The Sand Storm

To find the location of their destination, they just took the help of the Sun glistening in the blue sky, as it was blazingly hot there and was past noon.

The Blonde-haired beauty calculated the possible direction for the east with the trail the sun was making to set in the west.

As they walked, the heat became more intense as their bodies were constantly getting a bath in the scorching warm light.

They could feel the sweat pouring down their faces, and their clothes were sticking to their skin.

The girls' hair was matted with sweat, and both of them were feeling the heat pounding in their heads. Rio had it easier as he didn't have long hair like them.

All of them were getting thirsty as their throats were parched, losing the body's liquid through constant sweating, and had no source of water to refill themselves.

Helia's eyes were squinted as she tried to shield herself from the sun, using her right palm. She was getting bullied by the blistering heat and her head was spinning.

The blonde-haired beauty wasn't wearing her heavy armor as she was previously fighting Nyla before getting summoned into the resting abode of that senior elder who was from the ancient civilization.

She had a full light-blue top and was in long black pants that The girl usually wore in her warrior get-up.

Nyla's condition wasn't any better as she was panting, her throat was dry and her clothes were sticking to her body, revealing her firm mounds and chubby butts.

The magenta-haired beauty was feeling the hot sun blazing intensity and her head was also aching and burning in pain. She was in a long yellow skirt and a purple top with short sleeves.

The trio trudged on as the hot sand shifted and slid beneath their foot. The only thing that broke the monotony of the sand dunes were the occasional rocky outcroppings that loomed in the distance.

The heat was becoming unbearable, as Rio and company were getting more and more exhausted from this intolerable climate and place.

"It's so hard to continue walking..." Nyla complained in a fatigued voice.

"You should go back. I would find the Exalted Clover Ring alone." Rio tried to pursue her as he felt bad for her. She didn't want to come to this place but he knew she came for him.

"No, I won't give up this early." She said, encouraging herself as the girl didn't want to leave him in this dangerous sea of sand.

"If we had mana, we could have traveled using the Mana enchantment at higher speed but this damn place sealed all our powers." Helia cursed out in annoyance.

Rio found it amusing as the lioness was on the same level as him right now as she complained about this place.

They were becoming dehydrated and their bodies were aching from walking for long on the burning ground due to the scorching sun. They knew they had to find some shade soon or they would not be able to make it.

Soon, they heard a howling sound in the distance and a dark shadow coming their way.

"What's that?" Nyla said, her face filled with bitterness and annoyance as she pointed in the eastern direction.

"Ah, Not good. It's a bad sandstorm. We are doomed." Helia's face darkened, seeing the upcoming difficult challenge.

The trio had nowhere to go as the storm was traveling in their direction at incredible speed to envelop them. It was howling in madness and swirling wind of current with desert sand along the path.<novelnext></novelnext>

Before the trio could get out of its way, they were devoured by the current of dusty winds and came inside the storm perimeter.

It was just a faint whisper of wind at first when the sand storm approached them, but it quickly picked up speed, transforming into a howling gale that sent sand and dust flying everywhere.

They could barely make out each other's shapes through the thick clouds of dust and felt the grit of the sand colliding against their skin and the sting of it in their eyes.

Rio moved and caught Nyla in his embrace and kept his firm balance on the ground as this was getting dangerous.

The sky turned dark as the storm grew in its intensity. The wind was so sharp and strong that it was difficult to stand upright.

Sand and dust danced around Rio, making it hard to see. The dusty wind was too strong and sharp which made them barely able to move.

He dug into the ground using his legs to get strong support to stay stuck in his place, hugging Nyla tightly and not letting her get harmed.

The sand storm kept howling and swirling to travel as the ground started piling up sand around them, building dunes and transforming the landscape in a matter of a few seconds.

The wind was making a deafening sound as it howled and the sand was striking anything in its way with a force that made it hard to breathe and the visibility was almost zero.

As the sand storm was raging with full force, Helia got caught in it as it turned to swallow her. A strong gust of wind tangled her as she was thrown far away to the ground.

"Arghh....." She groaned in pain as her body collapsed on nearby Rock outcrops.

Rio could hear her shriek as he was firmly holding Nyla's body to keep her confined and not let her go.

"It's sister Helia. She is injured." Nyla cried out in a worried tone as she didn't want to lose her and tried to struggle free from Rio's strong grip.

Helia's voice was barely heard by them because the sandstorm was making so much noise with its howling wind current.
