14. Chapter 14: Conspiracy

The meaning of that statement was quite obvious. Mu Feng did not bring Zhao Yun in the first place, but only took Zhao Yun with him after he returned. However, Xia Mingyu was with Zhao Yun. In regard to the attitude of Family Zhao, the leader of Family Feng knew that this matter had something to do with the two. If Family Zhao kept investigating into this, he could only protect his rescuers–Mu Feng and the two others. Xia and Zhao were not on the list.

“I see.” As Zhao Yu spoke, the servants and bodyguards around suddenly acted aggressive. There was a sense of interrogation in Zhao Yu’s words: “So, could I please ask this little brother a question that why did you have the adopted son of my Family Zhao in your hands?”

Obviously, what Zhao Yu asked meant that Zhao Yun took Xia Mingyu away, which caused something happen in the tomb, and that led to the death of Han Xiaolin. The bodyguard of the Family Feng somewhat wanted to help out but he gave up when he saw master’s smiley face with cold looks in the eyes. His master couldn’t step in the matter of other family, let alone a bodyguard himself.

Zhao Yun understood the reasons and consequences for sure. But Mu Feng said that in order to avoid trouble, he’d better not answer the questions from others casually. Thus he just kept looking at Han Xiaolin’s room with a cold look and kept silent.

Zhao Yu frowned and his voice raised a lot, “Since this little brother wouldn’t answer my question, does it mean that he’s admitting to abducting my adopted son and participating in plotting the murder of my Family Zhou? If you don’t answer me, I won’t be polite anymore.”

Zhao Yu was too loud, causing the sleeping Xia Mingyu to feel unrestful. He opened his hazy eyes, and his flashing big eyes just saw Zhao Ziyi next to him. The missing memory in his brain suddenly flashed back. His look was darkened. He then looked around secretly, and his face suddenly turned pale–he actually returned to Family Zhao!

“I hope that this little brother will not be this disrespectful and return Xiaoyu to my family.” The voice of Zhao Yu suddenly went off behind his back, and Xia Mingyu’s body, which was originally stiff, suddenly began to tremble. He never thought that he would return after escaping. Why? Did those people send him back?

“I hope that this little brother will not be this disrespectful and return Xiaoyu to my family.” The voice of Zhao Yu suddenly went off behind his back, and Xia Mingyu’s body, which was originally stiff, suddenly began to tremble. He never thought that he would return after escaping. Why? Did those people send him back?

Zhao Yun stroked the back of Xia Mingyu and felt that the teenager under his palms was gradually relaxed. Zhao Yun replied without hesitation, “No.”

The fury in Zhao Yu grew more and more intense. The housekeeper next to him saw that Zhao Yun was so ignorant and said, “You little brat! My master has already discussed it with you. Do we have to do this the hard way? We don’t have to be polite anymore! Beat him up!”

A group of bodyguards rushed onto him. But it was quite easy for Zhao Yun to handle them, thanks to the straitness of the corridor.  Zhao Yu looked even more furious. The two groups of people appeared aggressive towards each other. The bodyguards who climbed up from the ground had already started to take their guns out from their arms. Zhao Ziyi knew that this wouldn’t end up well and then said, “Father, could you please wait for Xiaoyu to wake up and then deal with them? What if it was this big brother who saved Xiaoyu?”

As soon as he finished talking, he got Zhao Yu’s warning look. But Zhao Ziyi did not intend to be dominated by his father all the time. He was more than the eldest child in Family Zhao since he’d already grew up and gone this far in this family. He had learned some things a long time ago, such as when he should face with his father without showing off and when he should stand up and make a figure. Previously, he rarely interfered with matters that concerned with Xia Mingyu. But this time he really didn’t want Zhao Yu to continue to make things hard for Xia Mingyu. After all, he just wanted a younger brother like Xia Mingyu.

Zhao Yu was about to say something when the door suddenly opened. Mu Feng walked out with a cold expression. His looks fell on Zhao Yu, just like the viper locking the food. Zhao Yu felt like being strangled tightly by the viper, unable to move, and even unable to speak. It didn’t take long before his face turned red. He could only pant like a drowning man climbing up to the land when Mu Feng took his cold looks back.

“Master Zhao, I’ve dealt with the thing for you. But it’s both spiritually and physically gone before offering any information.” Mu Feng took a piece of tissue and wiped the blood off his hand, then said, “Also, I  fancy your adopted son. He will be my disciple of my Ying Zhou Sect and the third prentice of mine. I would also advise you to be kind to this “god” kid. Because his family name is Zhao. Your family is safe with him alive. But if dead, your family and your descendants will be doomed. I think you know who I am talking about. So, remember to pay me for it. As for Master Feng, don’t forget that you still owe me lots of commission.”

Mu Feng said without fearing the bodyguards who had taken their guns out and walked straight over. He Nai never felt that his master was this handsome and masculine. So she followed up with admiration and gave Zhao Yu a snort when she passed him by. By the time Zhao Yu figured out the whole thing, his face suddenly turned white, and then he knelt down. All of the people of Family Zhao knelt down in panic.

“Anse…” Zhao Yu shut up when he felt Zhao Yun’s cold gaze. And the leader of Family Feng already had a cold sweat though he didn’t directly look at Zhao Yun’s gaze. Zhao Yun’s was more pressing than Mu Feng. If Mu Feng was a viper, then Zhao Yun was the god of death. When the pressure was released, everyone felt that they had experienced death more than once.

His clothes were pulled several times by the teenager in his arms. Zhao Yun’s lips wiped over Xia Mingyu’s ear when he turned his head, suddenly saw the youth’s ears reddened. Yet he still kept his eyes closed and pretended to sleep. Zhao Yun couldn’t help but feel amused by the boy. Then he looked at Zhao Yu for a while. Although he didn’t look that murderous anymore, his attitude was still as cold as ice.

“Don’t say anything about me. I will take care of this child.” Zhao Yun said. Zhao Yu nodded. Then Zhao Yun looked at Zhao Ziyi and asked, “What’s your name?”

Zhao Ziyi was surprised. After all, his father had to kneel to this person. He was definitely not “anybody”. And Mu Feng said that his surname was Zhao. And Zhao Ziyi was smart enough to realize that a person like him should be a respectable senior. So he lowered his head and said, “I, the humble youngster, am Zhao Ziyi.”

“Ziyi.” Zhao Yun mumbled to himself and then stopped talking. He then followed up with Mu Feng with his Xia Mingyu in his arms. It wasn’t like he didn’t want to stay here, but he had revealed too much today. No one in this strange world can tell if there will be a person who is more skillful and impressive than him in the next second. Instead of staying in the dangerous place which was already exposed, he might as well leave with Mu Feng. He instinctively felt that although Mu Feng concealed a lot of things, he wouldn’t just randomly harm anyone.

Mu Feng and the two others were waiting outside the courtyard for Zhao Yun to come out. Seeing him carrying Xia Mingyu unscathed, both He Nai and Wangchuan let out a sigh of relief. Mu Feng walked forward and patted Zhao Yun on the shoulder: “Okay, it’s done. Now we’re going back to the mountain now. Are you coming with us?”

Of course Zhao Yun wanted to go with them. Because even if he couldn’t keep up with them, Xia Mingyu would be taken away. After all, Mu Feng considered about making Mingyu his disciple seriously. It wasn’t a whim.  Zhao Yun also wanted to find the counsellor to ask why he turned him into a zombie. But he was kind of clueless about it at this time and he didn’t know what the world was like. So he might as well follow Mu Feng. In this way, at least he could figure out a lot of things.
