Chapter 46: If He Acted Aloof

Xia Mingyu splashed his face with water to keep himself sober, opened the door and walked out of the bathroom. Wu Jiuge was leaning against the door of the bathroom. As Xia Mingyu got out, he followed silently.

Zhao Yun was not far away, who seemed to be talking with He Nai and Wangchuan. Xia Mingyu lowered his head with his mind all about the kiss last night and what falling in love meant, the question mentioned by the girl just now…

“Hey, how can you do this to me? You can’t be so rude to me just because of your good look!” He Nai got furious in frustration. Sun Yaxin laughed and shouted at her to get in the car. He Nai glared at Wu Jiuge and then got in Sun Yaxin’s car as told. Fine, she could take the opportunity to bond with Zhao Yun then.

Watching the car in front of him start, Xia Mingyu slowly rolled down the window, feeling a bit gloomy. Wangchuan looked at him from the rear mirror and said, “Mingyu, did you quarrel with Zhao Yun?”

Looking out of the window, Xia Mingyu was stunned for the moment by the unexpected question of Wangchuan. Eventually, he came to his sense and mumbled, “No… No… Wangchuan, you’ve thought too much. I just…” He tried to make up an excuse but he failed anyway…

The people in the other car also felt that there was something wrong with Xia Mingyu. Mu Feng turned around and talked to Zhao Yun, “Hey, did you do something bad?”

Zhao Yun, totally at a loss, couldn’t understand what Mu Feng meant. Seeing his confused look, Mu Feng continued saying, “I thought Mingyu always clings to you? Why didn’t he get in the car with you just now? Instead, he sat with someone else.”

He Nai sat well and rolled down the window in anger. Mu Feng touched his red nose and intended to hug Sun Yaxin. “Boo-hoo, you are the nicest person to me.”

“Bang.” Sun Yaxin struck a punch on the chest of Mu Feng, making the latter lying against the seat and whining. Sun Yaxin sneered, “Why did you try to irritate me? Mu Feng, learn your lesson!”

He Nai was slightly astonished and sighed about Sun Yaxin’s potency. Well, they were all distracted then…

To the surprise of Xia Mingyu, they arrived at a karaoke club under the Cao’s Group in the end. At the sight of Cao Cao and that girl, he felt so bad.

He just stayed at the corner quietly, watching the other people. And Wu Jiuge was guarding him aside while Zhao Yun was badgered by the girl.

Seeing Xia Mingyu at the corner, Cao Pi winked at Xia Houdun and Xia Houyuan. Then they just went to talk with Wu Jiuge in a low voice. Afterwards, Wu Jiuge took a look at Xia Mingyu and told him, “Mingyu, I need to be away for a moment. I’ll come back soon.”

Then he went out with Xia Houdun and Xia Houyuan. Xia Mingyu wanted to stop him but his eyesight was blocked by Cao Pi. The young man looked up and then Cao Pi greeted him, “Long time no see.”

Actually, Xia Mingyu wished not to see him anymore!

“Long time no see…” Xia Mingyu lowered his head and replied. Then Cao Pi just sat down casually and started to drink beer. As he saw Xia Mingyu’s alerted face, he passed a glass of beer over, “Would you like a glass of this?”

“I’m still underage.”

“It doesn’t matter. Besides, very few boys really drink only when they turn 18.” The beer had been held in front of him. It seemed that Cao Pi would make him drink anyway. Xia Mingyu fetched the glass and stared at him with a grin.

The young man smiled and suddenly said in a low voice, “Hey, did you put poison in this again? Just like the poison ‘Three Days Alive’.”

Cao Pi raised his eyebrows and grinned, “Have a guess.”

Why guess? What a childish man Cao Pi was!

As the young man stayed silent, Cao Pi grabbed Xia Mingyu’s hand and made him drink the beer. With the subtle bitterness spread in his mouth, Xia Mingyu frowned, and then he was forced to take another slug of the beer. The cold beer moisturized his lips, cooling his mouth all over. Some of the beer even dripped from his mouth.

“I… I can’t… Drink…” Xia Mingyu reached out his hands to push the glass away. Nevertheless, his wrist was gripped by Cao Pi and then he was forced to drink a whole glass of beer soon. When Cao Pi removed the glass, Xia Mingyu kept coughing so heavily that he even had choke tears.

“Cough…” Xia Mingyu started to become dizzy. He shook his head and saw Cao Pi pour another glass of beer. Why did Cao Pi try to drink him under the table? What was his purpose?
