Naruto: The Twin Flashes

Kakashi glanced back over to his team and a worried expression surfaced coupled with a deep frown. His Sharingan rotated for a second.

"Someone from the Yuki Clan...I would rather get to keep you guys alive and question you about why you got so much information about us...Especially village secrets concerning our Jinchuriki..." Kakashi's glare became fierce and he lifted his Kunai further up to change his stance.

An incoming swing from Zabuza made him duck. His eyes still followed every movement and right at the moment when he kneeled down to the ground he rotated on his heel and kicked at zabuza with the aim to stagger him in his abdomen.

But that attempt was blocked by Zabuza with his sword placed in front of him with the broader side.

With a simple jump back he was back at range to attack with the full length of his sword this time around.

"Sorry, but you will have to drag me to one of your information extractors first if you want that information.", snorted Zabuza and swung.

On the other side, the group of four started to engage Haku. Kakashi had no time to keep track of all the things happening at the same time. His only hope now was that he could deal with Zabuza fast enough.

Senbon needles flew at Kaito's direction and landed about close to his feet while followed his retreating movements.

Haku had rather great accuracy with throwing weapons and the sheer amount of them kept Kaito on his feet.

Kaito could also see some of them gracing past him and emitting a cold chill. That was because not all of them were made of metal but were created through the Hyouton. With the abundant surplus of water nearby and the air being extremely humid with the slight mist floating around Haku didn't really waste much chakra at all.

Naruto made about ten shadow clones and started barraging Haku with his own Kunai and Shuriken.

Kaito smiled a little bit since Naruto used a special attribute of the Shadow Clone technique that copied all simple weaponry and effectively produced more weapons that could injure out of thin air.

The interception of his brother brought him some breathing time but Haku was ambidextrous and his focus on him did not change one bit. The mask was still looking in Kaito's direction while the right hand threw projectiles and the other hand started to produce an ice wall that blocked all ranged attack that would have hit his body.

Sasuke was also trying to use his Great Fireball and melt down the ice.

"Sasuke! Don't!" Kaito's advice came too late and his fire slammed into a fast erected ice dome from Haku. To make things worse the Ice produced more vapor and flushed a thick mist into the surrounding.

"Shit...", cursed Kaito lightly and still tried to figure out a solution. It was one thing to have a lot of theories in one's head but to really tackle a problem needed careful consideration. Somehow he was very envious about Shikamaru's quick logical 5 steps ahead thinking that was nearly inhuman.

Kaito had too little information about Haku. Yes, he knew his blood limit and a few abilities but his opponent was also intelligent and born into a warring time where blood was basically the only thing he saw.

Just when cursing Kaito could see how Haku dashed right at Sasuke and tried to incapacitate him with the needles.

Sasuke deflected them with his Kunai and locked himself into a strength struggle where their Kunais touched and pressed against each other and a slight lack of concentration meant possible death.

Sasuke actually smirked. "Gotcha...", he said.

"I don't think so...Did you forget my actions just a moment ago?", answered Haku and printed signs with just one hand.

That surprised Sasuke and he had to immediately to retreat before he became a pincushion from the hundreds of small fine ice needles flying at him.

"Suiton: Dragon Bullet!" A large Dragen came crashing along the muddy road and swallowed the attack from Haku. It was a Jutsu performed by Kakashi who had found the time to perform it with a Shadow Clone while his original still danced with Zabuza.

Kakashi even started injecting lightning chakra into his Kunai to bolster his attacks against the massive blade that also starting to glow a sinister purple with the dark chakra Zabuza emitted.

But that little distraction and loss of further Chakra let some point surface at his left eye and he slipped a little and got a slash across his protective vest.

"It's over!", shouted Zabuza but suddenly Kaito appeared in front of Kakashi with a Katana in hand and blocked the swing.

The impact was sadly too much and Kaito was sent flying into Kakashi after his blade snapped and flew into the air.

Zabuza looked at the duo sliding along the ground and stopped for a second.

"Remarkable speed you got there. I think it is even faster than Haku. But you should stop wielding a blade, kid. I one of the seven mist swordsmen and a mere blade not even infused with chakra is not going to hold out much of a clash. Such an actual waste of good chakra metal..."

Kaito coughed lightly and stood back up. He did not rebuke this guy's claims since using Flying Thunder God and infusing chakra into a blade was not yet a thing he was able. It was truly a dumb waste of a fine blade.

Besides that, he got what he aimed for and smirked at Zabuza. "I wonder about that."

Zabuza looked at him and suddenly noticed how some Ninken bit into his limbs and paralyzed his body.

"What the? When di this..?" Then Zabuza looked at the Kakashi behind Kaito and saw him disappear into smoke. "Damn it!!" Zabuza mobilized his last energy and and dispelled the Genjutsu he was in from Kaito. "That I freaking was put into a simple Genjutsu!"

"Too bad it's too late..." Kakashi was already lunging forward with his Chidori but right at that moment, an immense drain of chakra made his Jutsu falter a little and deviate.

He hit the left shoulder of Zabuza instead of his abdomen where his heart was. But it was still a rather nasty wound.

"Zabuza-sama!!" Haku that was somehow kept busy by Sasuke and Naruto immediately shouted out and exploded in anger. Ice spikes that were massive in size erupted from his spot like an epicenter. A few pillars skewered up most of Naruto's clones while Sasuke was breathing heavily and bȧrėly dodging.

With a skilled Shunshin into one ice pillar and out another close to Kakashi and Zabuza, Haku now attacked Kakashi but Kaito was also still there and intercepted with jumping at him.

Haku threw a few other needles after a small Taijutsu exchange with Kaito that obviously was disadvantageous for Haku, then quickly grabbed Zabuza, and vanished in the thick mist.

Kaito actually still had plenty enough chakra to follow suit because he could track them down with his skill going into active mode but Kakashi stopped him.

Looking at his Sensei he could see him panting with his left eye closed and a hand put in front of it. The crimson color flowing into the lime green vest got Kaito back on track.

Kaito knelt down to Kakashi's wound on his ċhėst and opened the vest. The gaping slash looked rather nasty and the massive blood loss made it not better. So Kaito went ahead with immediate first aid treatment with his mystic palm.

"Kakashi-sensei!" The others also came over and looked if they were okay.

After everyone calmed down somewhat and Kaito healed all members of various wounds even he got exhausted from it.

Sasuke sat on the ground with a gloomy expression on his face and Sakura looked worried because she did not know what to say to heighten the mood. Even the rather cheerful Naruto was angry and in a bad mood.

Kaito bumped his brother's shoulder. "Hey, cheer up. The client is safe, so everything is fine."

"But how could we be so beaten up by one single guy that is about the same age as us, damn it."

Kakashi heard that and looked over. "Naruto, there are many people that are just as young as you or even younger that are even stronger than me. Don't let the age fool you...Some individuals have gone through worse than us and had to adept. In the hidden village of the mist there was once a ritual that only one genin would graduate from their acadamies...."

"Only one?", asked Sakura.

"The others are being killed by the one that survives that battle royale...", added Kaito now. "The sheer malevolence that Zabuza emitted was sickening. You dont just get that by killing just a few people..."

Naruto heard that and grumbled. "But was he not just forced to do it? And is it really still the same in Kiri?", he asked.

"Actually no, they changed that barbaric ritual but I think since Zabuza and that Haku are being hunted so long by now that they just don't know that it changed.", said Kaito.

"Hmm, I would not bet on that. They knew about you two and that we would be here.", mentioned Kakashi.

Kaito was also curious about that fact. Where exactly did they receive that information?
