Natural God's Gift

#107 - Inspect the growth status of the God-given seeds

Four-Leaf stood on the head of the Acer Leader, who carried it towards its own territory.

On the way, Four-Leaf couldn't wait to ask, "Acer Leader, how are my Lucky Clover and Morning Glory growing?"

"They're growing very well,"

Four-Leaf: "Will bugs eat their leaves?"

Acer Leader: "No, Tiger Cane and I patrol regularly, and we won't let the forest's insects or beasts harm them."

"Are they very tall now?"

"Go and see for yourself."

Acer Leader lectured: "Four-Leaf, you can't run out of the kingdom without a word again in the future. Do you know that everyone is very worried about you?"

"Everyone is also taking care of your life seed for you. In the future, you will be a grown-up spider and should learn to take care of your own life seed."

"Acer Leader, I know I was wrong," Four-Leaf honestly apologized.

"It's good that you know you were wrong."

Acer Leader brought Four-Leaf to the hillside where the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed was located. Four-Leaf jumped off Acer Leader's head and came to the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed alone.

When Four-Leaf approached the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed, a weak mental thought, filled with doubtful emotions, flooded into Four-Leaf's mind.

"Who are you? What are you doing here? Go away!"

"Huh?" Four-Leaf was very surprised. It said to Acer Leader, "Acer Leader, my Lucky Clover God-Given Seed seems to have developed a mental thought."

Acer Leader responded, "I sensed it. It should have developed more than half a month ago, so I haven't dared to get too close to it during this time, for fear of arousing its instinctive resistance. You communicate with it."

"Okay." Four-Leaf refocused its attention on the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed. After not seeing it for a few months, the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed, which was only a little over a meter tall, was now two or three meters tall.

Its main stem had also reached four or five centimeters in diameter. Rather than calling it grass, it would be more appropriate to say that it had become a tree.

However, small patches of heart-shaped four-leaf clovers still grew between the branches of its trunk. Each leaf was stained with a little moisture, and the moisture gathered at the tips of the leaves to form crystal clear water droplets. These water droplets sparkled under the sunlight, making the clover even more verdant.

"I am Four-Leaf. You and I are symbiotic spiders. We have a soul bond between us. I will not hurt you."

"Four-Leaf?" The Lucky Clover God-Given Seed was still a little puzzled. It could feel a natural closeness to this animal within its mental range, but the instinct of a plant still made it want to drive the other party away.

Seeing this, Four-Leaf released its mental thoughts, allowing its soul and the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed to touch each other and feel the soul bond between them.

Four-Leaf raised a claw and pointed at itself, then pointed at the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed: "I am called Four-Leaf, you are called Lucky Clover, and we are one."

"You, Four-Leaf! Me, Lucky Clover!" Lucky Clover had not awakened its mental power for long. Its thinking ability was still very weak, and the mental thoughts it emitted were intermittent.

But it was good enough to be able to communicate with Four-Leaf initially.

Four-Leaf introduced Acer Leader to the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed: "This is my elder, Acer Leader. It has been taking care of you during this time."

"Acer Leader? Elder? What is an elder?" The Lucky Clover God-Given Seed was not very knowledgeable about these things. It did not have a clear understanding of the outside world and needed Four-Leaf to teach it little by little.

"Elder, um, is a spider that is exactly like me, but bigger than me." Four-Leaf didn't know how to explain it, so it could only vaguely summarize the word 'elder' to give Lucky Clover this concept.

Acer Leader gently waved its antennae. It didn't care about the conversation between Lucky Clover and Four-Leaf.

"Four-Leaf, ask the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed if the primordial energy around it is rich enough?

Is there enough nutrition in the soil where it is rooted? If it is not enough, add some to it."

"Understood." Four-Leaf asked Lucky Clover, "Do you need to replenish some primordial energy? Do you need me to add some more fertile soil to you?"

"Primordial energy? Fertile soil?" The Lucky Clover God-Given Seed felt that it didn't understand a word of what Four-Leaf said.

Four-Leaf took out a primal stone from the silk pouch on its carapace and twirled it in its claws: "The special energy contained in this stone is called primordial energy. Do you feel that the primordial energy around you is sufficient?"

"Primordial energy, I want primordial energy." The Lucky Clover God-Given Seed sensed the powerful energy contained in the primal stone that it needed, and it began to instinctively demand primordial energy.

Four-Leaf: "This primal stone was not easy to exchange from Mountain Master Ziyun. I can't carry too much, so I only exchanged twenty. You can't waste it."

Although it was muttering, it still felt very sorry for the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed. It immediately took out ten primal stones and scraped them into powder, allowing Lucky Clover to quickly absorb the overflowing primordial energy.

After scraping the primal stones, Four-Leaf said to the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed: "Okay, you can use ten here first. I will take ten to the Morning Glory God-Given Seed later. Use some for it too."

"I want more." After absorbing the primordial energy from the ten primal stones, the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed realized that the rate of absorption was much faster than absorbing primordial energy little by little in nature, and it immediately became insistent.

"Don't worry, don't worry." Four-Leaf hurriedly responded: "I have one hundred primal stones prepared in my nest. I will bring them all over for you to use then."

The Lucky Clover God-Given Seed didn't know how many one hundred primal stones were, but when it heard Four-Leaf say that there would be more of this kind of stone, it calmed down its original eagerness.

"Lucky Clover, I'll come over to chat with you later. I'll go take a look at the Morning Glory God-Given Seed first." Four-Leaf was afraid that the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed would ask it for primal stones again, so it scurried onto Acer Leader's head and followed it to the place where the Morning Glory God-Given Seed was located.

Unlike the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed, the Morning Glory God-Given Seed was attached to a large tree and grew by entwining around it.

Usually, Half-Summer guarded this area, patrolling here once a day. Mountain Master Tiger Cane would also come over to watch it every two or three days.

Snowdrop and Water Plantain would sometimes come to play under the Morning Glory God-Given Seed.

After Four-Leaf arrived at the place where the Morning Glory God-Given Seed was planted, it saw all kinds of spider webs densely and messily pulled around.

These were the spider webs that Snowdrop and Water Plantain had pulled out to prevent small animals such as birds, beasts, snakes, and insects from approaching.

In the center of these spider webs was a tall giant tree. Under the giant tree, a one-centimeter-thick main vine of the Morning Glory slowly climbed around the tree.

Because the tree was too tall and thick, the Morning Glory God-Given Seed couldn't even wrap around it once. It could only rely on some tendrils to grab the outward-splitting bark and forcibly attach itself to the tree.

Unlike other herbaceous life seeds, Morning Glory is a small vine plant. Its leaves are heart-shaped,

The edges of the leaves have varying degrees of serrations, the stems are slender and winding, and it does not grow by dividing into plants. It only strengthens its own only main vine and then looks for any tall object and desperately climbs upwards.

Four-Leaf came under the Morning Glory God-Given Seed and carefully examined its growth state. It roughly measured its length, which should be more than ten meters. The leaves were verdant, without any traces of insects or rats, indicating that the other spiders had taken good care of it.

It knew that Lucky Clover had Acer Leader guarding it, so it wasn't too worried. It was just a little worried about the Morning Glory God-Given Seed. Mountain Master Tiger Cane needed to give the little spiders lessons often, and it was afraid that this God-Given Seed hadn't been taken care of. Now that it saw this God-Given Seed looking so prosperous, it was finally relieved.

Perhaps it was because the Morning Glory God-Given Seed had been planted for too short a time, but so far, it didn't seem to have developed a mental thought.

In that case, Four-Leaf was much more relaxed and didn't have to deal with two God-Given Seeds that didn't understand anything right away.

It quickly scraped the remaining ten primal stones into powder, replenished the primordial energy for the Morning Glory God-Given Seed, checked around to see if there were any pests, and then followed Acer Leader back to the side of the Lucky Clover God-Given Seed.
