Natural God's Gift

#83 - New members of the caravan

Dang Gui timidly approached the Violet Cloud Mountain Lord to greet him, "Violet Cloud Leader, my name is Dang Gui. I'm a two-year-old, beginner Black Cicada warrior. I hope you'll take care of me in the future."

The Violet Cloud Mountain Lord said gently, "Hello, little Dang Gui. Let me introduce you to the members of the caravan. These two large spiders are the Torch Mountain Lord and the Green Field Mountain Lord."

Dang Gui: "Torch Mountain Lord, Green Field Mountain Lord, hello."

Torch and Green Field waved their palps in polite response.

Violet Cloud Mountain Lord: "These two seven-year-old beginner warriors are Shao Yao and Mu Dan."

Shao Yao and Mu Dan greeted, "Hello, Dang Gui. We were just chatting."

The Violet Cloud Mountain Lord then pointed to Bai Zhi and Si Ye: "Bai Zhi is five years old, and Si Ye is three years old."

"Hello everyone." Dang Gui was a little timid about joining a new environment.

Bai Zhi and Si Ye cheered, "Dang Gui, are you joining our caravan too?"

Violet Cloud Mountain Lord: "Dang Gui will stay with our caravan for now, until we can help it find its elders."

"Yay!" The little spiders cheered. Now they had another companion to play with.

The Violet Cloud Mountain Lord and the others continued trading, while the little spiders and cicada ran to the side.

Shao Yao plucked a plum pit from her silk pouch and handed it to Dang Gui, "Little Dang Gui, here's a small gift for you. From today on, you're a member of the caravan."

"Thank you," Dang Gui didn't expect to receive a gift.

Mu Dan also plucked a plum pit and handed it to Dang Gui, "Little Dang Gui, I'll give you a small gift too."

"Me too, me too," Before Dang Gui could respond, Bai Zhi stood up. It took out a cherry pit and handed it to Dang Gui, "Dang Gui, this is a wood-elemental power food, a cherry pit. It's a small gift for you."

The happiest of the little spiders was Si Ye. It waved its two small palps excitedly. It was finally not the smallest warrior in the caravan.

It plucked a God-given pumpkin seed and handed it to Dang Gui, imitating the tone of its elders, "Little Dang Gui, you must grow up well. Here, take a God-given pumpkin seed."

"God-given power food?" Dang Gui was a little excited. It had never eaten God-given power food before. It didn't expect the little spider Si Ye to be so generous, so generous that it didn't dare to accept it.

The other little spiders glanced over, but didn't say anything.

Dang Gui thought that Si Ye didn't know the value of God-given power food, hesitated, and still didn't dare to accept it, "Si Ye,

God-given power food is very precious. This one pumpkin seed costs several origin stones. I can't take it."

Bai Zhi put a claw on Dang Gui's body, hooking its shoulder, "If Si Ye gives it to you, just take it. Si Ye will be a rich bug in the future. If you follow me and Si Ye, you definitely won't go wrong."

Shao Yao and Mu Dan snorted softly. They had been with the two little origin spiders for so long, and they knew that Si Ye had three God-given seeds, but what did Si Ye's wealth have to do with Bai Zhi, the spider without a carapace?

Si Ye stuffed the God-given pumpkin seed into Dang Gui's hand, "Take it."

It saw Dang Gui as it saw itself in the past. If the Violet Cloud Caravan hadn't found it back then, it would probably be a lonely spider, so it empathized with it.

"Thank you!" Dang Gui was very grateful. God-given power food represented not only precious food, but also the probability of evolution. The little warriors of large tribes ate power food mixed with God-given power food, which could maintain the rate of evolution and ensure that their bodies were sufficiently strengthened. This was something that the bugs of small tribes could not compare with.

"It's nothing," Si Ye waved its palps a little embarrassedly.

The Violet Cloud Mountain Lord continued to trade with the Fixed Wind Leader and the others. After their batch of transactions was completed, other bugs would arrive.

Like large tribes such as the Mulberry Ridge Tribe, most of the bugs in their tribe had tasks to perform. They could obtain some origin power food other than operating their life seeds by accepting tasks within the tribe, so they were also very active in performing tasks.

For example, the Fragrant Vine Mountain Lord and the Feather Rift Mountain Lord hadn't arrived yet, as well as the silkworm moth tribe's beginner, intermediate, and advanced warriors. They had a large number of them and needed to wait until their shifts were over before coming to buy their favorite origin power food. It could be said that there would be origin power food transactions here for at least the next half month.

As for the origin power food, the silkworm moth tribe used silk scrolls woven by the Feather Rift Mountain Lord as currency for trading. The warriors of their tribe would take any leftover origin power food to the two leaders to exchange for silk scrolls.

Their Violet Cloud Caravan had been trading with the silkworm moth tribe for many years. The prices of various origin power foods, including God-given origin power food, were basically fixed. When they left the silkworm moth tribe, the caravan could take the silk scrolls and exchange them for any origin power food in their warehouse according to the amount on them.

After all the bugs present had completed their transactions, the Fixed Wind Leader invited the Violet Cloud Mountain Lord again, "Violet Cloud Leader, it's temporarily empty here. Do you want to go with us to survey a place that is suitable for building a reservoir?"

The silkworm moths were in urgent need of a reservoir. Many of the mulberry seedlings planted during last year's drought had died. The Fixed Wind Leader was very afraid of encountering another drought this year, so he couldn't wait to have the Violet Cloud Mountain Lord survey the terrain first so that the reservoir could be built in time.

The Violet Cloud Mountain Lord looked at Torch and Green Field, and then at the sparsely populated square, estimating that not many bugs would come in a short time, so he said, "Green Field, you stay here and watch the goods and the little spiders. Torch and I will go survey the terrain."

"Okay," Torch and Green Field were used to the Violet Cloud Mountain Lord's arrangements. They had always divided the work in this way.

Torch Mountain Lord mainly undertook earth and stone hardening projects, and Violet Cloud Mountain Lord increased the caravan's income by producing fertile soil that could increase the output of life seeds. Green Field Mountain Lord stayed behind to sell goods.

The Violet Cloud Mountain Lord called out to the little spiders, "Little ones."

"Coming, coming!" Hearing the Violet Cloud Mountain Lord's summons, the little spiders gathered around the Violet Cloud Mountain Lord.

Violet Cloud Mountain Lord: "We're going to do some work. You guys stay here obediently and help Green Field Mountain Lord sell goods. Don't run around."

"Got it!" The little spiders responded obediently.

Seeing the little spiders agree so well, the Violet Cloud and Torch spiders also left with the Fixed Wind Leader and the others with peace of mind.

Seeing the two Mountain Lords leave, Shao Yao asked, "Green Field Mountain Lord, are we going to take goods from you to sell like last time?"

Green Field Mountain Lord: "This time is different. We'll be staying here for a relatively long time, and there are more goods. I can't handle it all by myself. I'll mark the prices on the goods, and you can set them up next to me to sell. I'll give you two origin stones a day."

"Two origin stones?" The little spiders calculated in their hearts. Last time they stayed at Blood Vine Lake for about a week and earned about ten origin stones worth of origin power food from the goods they took from Green Field Mountain Lord's claws. Adding their own goods, they had less than thirty origin stones.

It seemed that selling the Mountain Lords' goods earned them less than two origin stones a day.

Now it was good to have a standard income of two origin stones a day. More importantly, the Violet Cloud Mountain Lord said that they would be staying here for at least a month, so wouldn't they be able to earn sixty origin stones?

Si Ye raised its claw and asked, "Green Field Mountain Lord, does Dang Gui count too?"

"Dang Gui?" Green Field Mountain Lord hesitated, not knowing whether to count it or not. Their Flame Spiders had their own bottom line. It wasn't like they would give alms to any insectoid warrior that looked pitiful. They encountered many lone insectoid warriors or poor little tribes every year. If they really gave alms to each and every one of them, the origin power food on their backs would be used up in no time.

The origin power food on their carapaces was their only resource for survival. If they were generous and gave their chances of survival to other insects, that was equivalent to giving their chances of survival to other insects.

Even the little warriors of their own tribe needed to work to have origin power food to eat. They couldn't possibly be generous to other insects.

The insects that the spider branch could lend origin power food to were either very promising, such as some insects with God-given seeds. The Flame Spiders didn't mind lending to them. Dang Gui clearly didn't belong to the first type.

Or they could help them earn profits. Green Field Mountain Lord wondered if Dang Gui could become the second type?

Green Field Mountain Lord asked, "Dang Gui, you've stayed in Mulberry Ridge for a long time, right? Are you familiar with the silkworm moth tribe's little warriors?"

"Quite familiar," Dang Gui said timidly, "Because I fly fast, I often look for them to play with.

Also, because I am a rare alien insect born in the silkworm moth tribe, many of the silkworm moth tribe's intermediate and advanced warriors recognize me."

This cicada was too small, and it was always a little afraid when facing large spiders.

"Is that so?" Green Field Mountain Lord pondered for a moment and said, "Then you sell goods with the little spiders. We'll see how you perform and then consider whether to give you one or two origin stones a day."

When Dang Gui heard Green Field Mountain Lord say this, its eyes lit up. If it was one origin stone a day,

then it would have many origin stones in a month, which was more than it usually earned from odd jobs in the silkworm moth tribe, "Thank you, Green Field Mountain Lord. I will definitely work hard to sell the goods!"
