Daoist Yuyu had executed four nihil powerhouses like he was chopping cabbage. Lu Yun wasn’t dissatisfied that he’d saved the Eastern Sacred Supreme, but the young man did find it a bit of a pity.

While the four didn’t measure up to Horse-Face, they could be Infernum bosses. Nihil level Infernum would be able to keep things in good order in the kingdom of hell. The four of them had rivaled Unrest!

Unrest had sent only a sliver of his replica into the chief worlds, yet that proved sufficient to eliminate everyone who opposed him and resolve every danger. Just a wisp of nothing had made the empyrean supremes draw back fearfully and refrain from setting a toe out of line.

Of course, there were thousands upon thousands of nihil powerhouses on the battlefield. There was no need for Lu Yun to pick a fight with Daoist Yuyu for a few insignificant small fry.

The daoist had plainly recovered his full strength and found his true self again. He was a heavyweight in the nothing and had thoroughly severed his karmic ties to the past Ge Long.

Daoist Yuyu was now the worst possible candidate if Lu Yun wanted nihil cannon fodder who was unafraid of death and willing to get their hands dirty.

The daoist understood Lu Yun’s intentions and struck out proactively. After killing another three, he managed to capture a nihil powerhouse alive.

The being looked a bit strange—like an octopus—but Lu Yun used the power of reincarnation to turn him into a man with a cow’s face. He named his newest recruit Ox-Head. That completed the Grim Reapers of his kingdom of hell. Ox-Head and Horse-Face were in residence. As for Black and White Impermanence… he could fill in their ranks later.

Daoist Yuyu’s sudden arrival changed the battlefront. Of the dozen nihil powerhouses in the area, seven were dead. The remaining fled after one of them was captured alive; they recognized the infamous Daoist Yuyu. If they continued to linger, they would either die or be taken alive.

If it wasn’t for the daoist not wanting to harm innocents, he would have set up his sword formation and annihilated everyone from the start.

“Well, it’s a good thing they ran.” Lu Yun smiled at Daoist Yuyu. “This means that those guys in the nihil will know you’re back. They won’t easily set foot here anymore.”

“I am notorious and of ill-repute throughout the nothing. Aren’t you afraid that I’ll ruin your reputation?” Daoist Yuyu harrumphed.

“I’ve become the biggest traitor to them and the second most evil being there is. What reputation do I have left?” Lu Yun chuckled indifferently.

The beings within the nothing had been brainwashed by the three hundred and sixty-five demon gods to the point of revering the demon gods as their heroes and the overseer as the demon. They hadn’t thought much of Lu Yun’s development at first, nor had they bothered to intervene. But one day, someone said that the second patch of existence—an unfettered realm—was about to enter the nothing to replace the Three Thousand. That abruptly made Lu Yun their savior.

The nothing was vacant and devoid of everything. Even though nihil powerhouses could survive in such an environment, no one liked to live in such circumstances. Thus, they greeted the appearance of a second existence with great anticipation. They were ready to rush in as soon as it appeared and seize the first mover’s advantage.

But Lu Yun abruptly submitted to the overseer of the Three Thousand and the second existence was negated before it could fully form! Wrath and hatred boiled over from the hopeful masses.

Lu Yun had betrayed all life and lowered himself to collude with the demon that would destroy the realms and all life. Lu Yun was a traitor!

He hadn’t just betrayed them, but creation itself! He was the greatest traitor of the nothing and of existence!

Of course, these words came from the three hundred and sixty-five demon gods. As their fans, the nihil powerhouses from the Three Thousand believed them without any doubt. Lu Yun’s foulness exceeded Daoist Yuyu’s!

The daoist shifted slightly to the side upon hearing all this, drawing clear boundaries between himself and the young man.

Lu Yun aimed a kick at him, whereupon the two burst into laughter.

“Dad, something’s gone horribly wrong.” A profusely sweating Lu Qing approached the two.

“What is it?” Lu Yun frowned.

“Eighteen out of the three hundred and sixty-five altars have been destroyed, but the rest have been seized by someone,” Lu Qing admitted with an unpleasant tone.

Attacking and occupying sanctuary wasn’t the vicious beasts’ primary goal. They wanted the altars. The altars could awaken the sleeping demon gods. If all three hundred and sixty-five acted in concert, they would be invincible within the nothing.

But if they appeared one by one, they were at most slightly stronger than Daoist Yuyu. Just the Three Purities could jointly kill a demon god!

“That doesn’t matter,” Daoist Yuyu said. “There were more than three hundred and sixty-five demon gods to begin with—actually one thousand and eighty of them. Mm, maybe there were even more before that.

“We combined forces with the mistress and killed hundreds of them, reducing their numbers to three hundred and sixty-five. So what if they all wake up at the same time? So what if they coordinate their movements? We’ll just kill them all!” Daoist Yuyu threw his head back with laughter.

Ancient nihil powerhouses such as he didn’t come from the Three Thousand. Their origins and background were even more mysterious. Those such as Daoist Yuyu had clashed with the demon gods before the Three Thousand was born. Over time, they reduced one thousand and eighty demon gods to three hundred and sixty-five.

Of course, the surviving demon gods were the strongest of those ever born.

Daoist Yuyu and his comrades paid a hefty price for their achievement—they nearly faded out of existence. If it wasn’t for Ancestor transforming into existence to house their true spirits, everyone from Hongjun, Tailong, Primordial, and Leize’s family would be long gone.

More of them were indeed gone and had left nothing behind.

Without the Land of Reincarnation and Lu Yun dismantling it, the survivors would’ve eventually become the demon gods’ pawns and refocus their attentions to helping the primordial world of immortals rise again.

Thankfully, the Dao King had been the counterbalance. He facilitated the Tome of Life and Death to recognize a new master and helped Hongjun, Daoist Yuyu, and others find themselves again. The daoist being captured by the Tome of Life and Death after the human hell shattered and being baptized into Ge Long was also one of the Dao King’s plans.

The Tome of Life and Death was the key to them finding themselves again.

Although the treasure was the first patch of existence to be born in the nothing, the power of reincarnation within it was the most marvelous power of creation. Even the Dao King didn’t know how to describe the treasure anymore.

It can be hard to make great work when its stolen from bit.ly/3iBfjkV.

“But it’s still an inconvenience to lose the altars,” Lu Yun frowned. “Minimize our casualties and try not to meet them head on.”

Sacred Radiance had suffered enormous casualties this time, and while the immortals from the World of Immortals were prepared to meet the enemy, they’d taken their fair share of losses. The immortals were very precious to Lu Yun—the death of one would make his heart ache, not to mention the minimum of hundreds of thousands that’d died.

“I remember Diexi cowed the nihil level beasts with one phrase before—exterminating their bloodlines! Let’s counterattack and exterminate some bloodlines!”
