Nightmare Shuttle
Chapter 128 - The Institute (69)
Chao Bin's face twisted even heavier, he wanted to join the fight and help the others but Tang Shun's firm voice still rang in his ears solemnly, they couldn't lose the progress. He looked away staring anxiously at the screen.
But in a place he couldn't see, there was a strange, red bug crawling towards him carrying a sticky and filthy mucus trail.
Chu Yi's suddenly stopped attacking, his face distorting strangely, from his forehead there came an intense itching and numbness, as if something inside his head was trying to burrow out! In this moment of inattentiveness, R89 quickly dodged his attack and appeared from behind, slashing viciously on Chu Yi's vulnerable back!
"Ugh!–"
Crimson blood rapidly dyed Chu Yi's white shirt!
His back trembled faintly as he swiftly turned around, the corner of his eyes were stained red–
From his forehead, a thin grey horn had appeared! His hands gripped the sword tightly and without examing himself, he rapidly dodged the attack from above.
R89 laughed strangely and disappeared again.
Chu Yi's felt his body slowly heating up, a familiar itch appearing but he didn't pay it the slightest attention.
Right now, he was intoxicated with the thrill of fighting and chasing, and within this time the horn on his forehead had grown even longer, closing his eyes, Chu Yi seemed to have another kind of vision, easily being able to see the outline of the shadowy figure flashing in the thick fog.
One second, he was in the northeast direction in front of Chu Yi, but in the next moment, he teleported to his side!
To the right!
Chu YI turned around in an instant. The sharp sword cut back like a flash of lightning, it seemed that in a moment the sword would R89's neck!
But just as the sword fell, there was a harsh palpitation in his heart sending shockwaves of pain to his nerves!
"Ugh–"
The hand that held the sword trembled and R89 appeared in front of him, the upper third of his body had a huge bullet wound caused by Tang Shun's gun, but instead of blood only a viscous, glue-like red liquid gushed out from the cut and surrounded it.
It seemed that every time he cut into his flesh, his body would heal quickly– the man grinned, by his ears, he seemed to hear a whisper, like a poisonous snake, "Don't you know, you're just one of the many failures I've created. Are you trying to fight against your creator... Chu Yi."
His eyes flashed and without replying, Chu Yi thrust the sword towards his neck, the man grinned strangely and disappeared.
Tang Shun furrowed his brows and slammed into the floor, flying up as he sent a kick to the faint silhouette, however before his attack could land there was a sudden agonized cry inside his ears.
Chao Bin!
His mind was momentarily distracted and just then a hand suddenly appeared from the fog and grabbed his ankle! With a heavy force that resembled a barreling freight train, Tang Shun was slammed violently into the floor!
Even the floor seemed to crack beneath him!
Chu Yi frowned heavily, and signaled for him to go and look at Chao Bin's situation, he lunged towards the man and crazily swung his sword. Every time he attacked, he landed precisely on the previous wounds he created, even if the man had a strong healing ability, R89's body still struggled to function under the repeated attacks!
The heart-wrenching pain appeared again as if Chu Yi couldn't feel it he continued to attack!
As the time grew shorter and shorter, more wounds were added to both of their bodies, the smell of blood was so pungent it was almost tangible, a bloody mist emerging to combine into the thick black fog, like the bloody gaping hole of the abyss.
When Chu Yi felt that his body was starting to become paralyzed, the itching and heat in his body had already grown to tremendous levels!
But he didn't care, Chu Yi took advantage of the man staggering briefly to raise his sword and chopped heavily at the preexisting wound on his chest, R89's felt the sharp tingling on his body and frowned faintly.
The level of strength shown by Chu Yi was abnormal, he twisted away from the blade that came down again and looked towards him.
He seemed to sense something and smiled meaningfully.
"Chu Yi, you surprised me today. It's just too bad you won't be able to last for much longer."
Chu Yi's laughter was low and hoarse, and the place where the man scratched with his sharp fingers seemed to be charred black, burning faintly, and there were multiple other cuts in his body but Chu Yi only felt an immense and pleasurable excitement!
He gasped heavily and took a moment to breathe, his lips raised into a crazy smile and he laughed as he answered him, "I hope you'll be able to last until then!"
The man laughed silently, "You mean now?"
"Ugh—!"
"So noisy."
Chu Yi said hoarsely, his eyes were scarlet and bright, a tyrannical murderous desire seemed to be burning heat in his body, becoming more and more violent, lodged in his chest and body, like a balloon that was on the verge of bursting, even his cells seemed to be clamoring for blood!
"Die, okay?"
Chu Yi didn't even realize that his voice carried a strange sweet lilt, like the sound of boiling magma or like the crisp song of a nightingale, even if he knew he didn't, just continuing to entangle with the sly figure in a never-ending tangle of blood and swords.
He wanted to feel the beating heart of the man in his hands after he ripped it from his chest!
Taking advantage of the abnormal vision brought about by the horn on his forehead, he always managed to locate the man. As a natural hunter, his instinct was keen to grasp the weak points of his prey. Chu Yi took a risk and let go of the hand that held the sword when he next attacked the man, his left hand slipped freely around R89's attack and quickly grasped the wound on his chest. In R89's pitch-black eyes, only the fierce grin on Chu Yi's was reflected–then like an eagle's claws, he pierced the man's tough, slippery skin fiercely, and forcefully pulled the flesh open into a gaping wound!
"Chu Yi–!!"
R89's voice changed. The originally calm and waveless voice was filled with a wave of livid anger and seemed to be mixed with crass human pain! Chu Yi's hand burned slightly and the viscous blood that splashed on his face felt like boiling lava but he still felt happy!
Exciting!
So exciting!
The red blood touched Chu Yi's skin, and immediately, the heat in his body burned even more severely.
The blood in the body of the man seemed to have a strange effect. Chu Yi felt that half of his body was paralyzed, and he was almost thrown off by him, but he didn't dodge or evade. Like a hungry mad dog that latches onto the enemy and refuses to let go!
His fingers continued to dog into the flesh and it even seemed that he wanted to tear the man in his half! R89 struggled and hit Chu Yi violently but no matter what, he refused to give up.
Chu Yi inhaled a heavy breath, feeling that his chest and lungs were filled with the stench of the blood and smoke. The paralysis of his body became more and more serious, making his body feel as if was thrown into a vat of burning Sulphur, even the gelatinous blood of R89 seemed to scald his skin. But the pleasure of tearing apart a strong enemy and the renewed feeling of killing made the blood in his body boil, and his breath was filled with heavy anticipation!
He breathed again, he didn't know if it was an illusion but the anger on R89's face suddenly faded and he stopped struggling.
But Chu Yi's fingers that that into his flesh didn't continue to pull, the temperature inside his body was rising, and the red blood adhering to his body seemed to dry up into black pieces, cracking and falling off like withered scales.

It was hot, so hot.
Chu Yi's mind suddenly fell into a trance, feeling as if he was being enveloped in scorching flames. The restlessness brought about by the heat aroused the desire for destruction and tyranny in his heart, making him eager to tear the body apart and devour the flesh and blood of his prey, but the weakness had completely overtaken his body.
A red flush appeared on Chu Yi's face and his fingers slowly released their grip on R89's wound, his eyes blurred and Chu Yi fell back under the indifferent and calm gaze.
His body fell back into a pile of withered roses that suddenly appeared beneath him, like a dark elf being welcomed back to his kingdom.
The mutation happened in an instant.
It was as if everything disappeared from before his eyes.
His mind was blank and confused.
Who am I?
The chaotic consciousness seems to be floating on a sea of nothingness. The left side is scorching hot, and the right side is bone-chilling cold. He was struggling to swim between these two diametrically opposing forces. The alternation of cold and heat makes him feel nauseous and sick, a shuddering pain wracked his body,
I don't know where I am.
Where am I?
His breath came out in rough pants, his tailbone only felt hot and itchy, the feeling spreading from his waist to his legs, something seemed to be growing outwards. He could feel them combining into a strange and mysterious shape and in his daze consciousness he seemed to vaguely recognize what was happening.
Am I human?
What am I?
His chaotic and distorted mind couldn't think calmly. It seems that thousands of dangerous knowledge are pouring into his mind, stirring his conscious into a boiling soup, the heat transformed and most instinctive desires.
Hunger.
He was so hungry.
Mutation requires energy, his current energy is not enough, he needs more, more energy.
He felt like a fish out of water, his body was burning, and there was a numbness in his shoulder blades as if something was supposed to grow there but because of insufficient energy, the mutation could only be temporarily suspended.
Not enough, not enough energy.
So hungry.
R89 stood above him, watching the beautiful red siren writhing in the bed of black roses as if he was God. The smile on his face seemed to grow deeper and in Chu Yi's chaotic mind, his voice whispered soft,
"You see? You could never defeat me. I originally wanted to break your legs and teach you how to be obedient but I guess I'll just have to cut off your tail instead."
He glanced to the side where the other two glaring presences were standing, one of them seem to be dying and although he was a bit interested in the next one, he wanted to enjoy the feeling of slowly slicing a merman's tail off.
Chu Yi must look beautiful when he's dying.
He stared in a different direction, where there was mixed, impure, yet active energy and sneered, bastard.
Chu Yi groaned slightly, his lips cracking from dryness, and propped himself up with great effort. The pale skin was covered with magical red scales, and from his waist, a long streamlined tail had formed. The tail is shining, the red scales aligned into a beautiful red pattern.
Butterfly bones protruded from his back faintly, as if he was too thin and malnourished, but it was wing bones that had not yet emerged due to lack of energy...

A faint rational voice resounded in his head, but he didn't care, at this moment all his thoughts were occupied by hunger, hunting, devouring, evolving. Aware of the strangeness in his body, he turned his head strenuously, but his whole body was completely shrouded by a dark shadow from top to bottom.
He was burning!
His fiery body was soaked in a red stream, and for a moment he seemed to wake up, rationally wanting to break through the shackles of wild instincts.
R89 stood above him quietly and seemed to sigh regretfully and the whip that had been taken from him miraculously appeared from his side.
He gently ran the tip along the red lines of the fluttering tail, before smiling cruelly and raising the whip in his hand high in the air!
Chu Yi struggled. Instinct urged him to stand up, and quickly find prey, to absorb energy to complete his alienation but it seemed that another consciousness was fighting against his instinct, ordering him to kill the man before him!
A hint of danger was slowly brewing at the bottom of his eyes–
He hates being like this!
The disgust of being out of control, the pursuit of hunger and energy, and the inability of the two contradictions to coexist made his heavy brain freeze, so that his body was like a machine on standby, lying motionless in the rose bed, the whip above him crashed down ruthlessly!
[Your situation seems to be very bad]
An elegant and dull voice suddenly resounded in his consciousness
[I know what you want most, I can help you]
His addled mind was still fighting against his instincts and Chu Yi could hardly process the words spoken.
[It seems that your situation is very bad. Then Chu Yi, don't you want my help.]
Chu ...Yi–
This voice seemed to dispel the chaotic fog in his mind, and his reason returned instantly.
His name was Chu Yi.
I am Chu Yi.
[Chu Yi, just come to me and I'll fix everything. You won't have to worry anymore, you'll be with me...forever.]
Dazed red eyes were suddenly filled with mirth and his lips raised into a deep sneer,
His voice resounded with cruel laughter
