The sky cracks into fractures

The glass slicing the ink

As they float through the windows

The holes of a monolith

Forming the last halo above our heads

The home behind me as the world

When the divine witness our iniquity

Our hunt for purpose unmerited

The last words of authority

Are cries for clemency

Their eyes opened

Before their hearts

As shards of their crown

Transparent with their dreams

Puncture their new sight

With the organs

Keeping them in order

The breaths of force

Ceased to melt in red

Of the divine theatre

With their remains

And I watch

Without emotion

To weigh my actions

As the woman in front of me

Falls like the throne she held

Her vision crimson and sable

As she stares at her body

Impaled by her own reign

The gemstones within her wreath

Shattered to shine the mandala

She made this her reality

For she had not known her force

Would be brought upon herself

I cradle the last of the innocence

I find weeping in this forest

Holding the child in my arms

Of Ash and her pilots

As the scent of their afterlives

Attract the animals lurking around us

Stepping out of shattered boundaries

To feast on their freedom

The remnants of society

Erased under the liberated
