Chapter 86

Chapter 86 - Investigation

“Is diving headfirst your style? You’re not going to profess your love before or anything? I need some time to prepare myself mentally, to do this with another man,” Yoonshin protested.

Sehun grabbed Yoonshin’s chin, not wanting to hear anymore. At the same time, a memory flashed in Yoonshin’s head. A few months ago, in Sehun’s office, Sehun had grabbed his chin, and his eyes searched Yoonshin’s face. Yoonshin wondered if the older man felt a similar impulse back then. Sehun didn’t seem to be pleased that Yoonshin was distracted with another thought. He growled, “My style is giving orders as a superior. Open your mouth.”

Yoonshin obediently parted his lips. The other roughly pushed his tongue back into the dark and warm cavern of the younger man’s mouth. Their flesh swept against each other like it was their first encounter.

Sehun made a mess out of the inside of Yoonshin’s mouth. In reply, Yoonshin’s arm, with nowhere else to go, clung to Sehun’s neck eagerly.

Their deep, indulgent kiss, away from the eyes of others, stretched on and on into the darkest hour of the night.

Act 11

As Sehun flipped through the pages of the documents, he felt an uncomfortable feeling from a foreign object on his finger. On his forefinger was a bandage with crocodiles. The moment Sehun got to work, Yoonshin barged into his office and changed the bandage on the burn he got the other night. Floating in the white background, the green crocodile’s black eyes glinted as it opened its jaws at Sehun.

Sehun felt a bit funny as he stared at it, so he was about to take the bandage off when he heard a knock at his door.

“Yes, come in,” he responded. The door opened, and Mihee poked her head in.

“Attorney Kang, do you have some time?” she asked.

Sehun stared at Mihee from his seat. She had two envelopes, one in each hand, and they were probably the reason for Mihee’s visit. Both were probably very important.

“It depends on how much you need,” Sehun replied.

“I only need a moment.”

He gestured for her to come in. She closed the door behind her and sat on his office couch.

“Sehun, I heard you had a meeting with the representative of the business administration consultation in the morning.”

“Yeah, I only had time today. But what’s up? You’re usually the busiest on Mondays.”

“Just dropping by on the way. I heard that Secretary Tak picked up some pain medication at the infirmary throughout last week. Since Secretary Tak went himself, I figured that you were the culprit.”

Sehun nodded, not feeling the need to hide that. Mihee put on a worried look. “You’re healthy, so you don’t need medication often. What happened? You have been like that since the dinner. Did something happen between you and Attorney Do? The atmosphere between you two was pretty intense.”

“There’s no reason anything would happen between me and Attorney Do. Stop being nosy, and let’s talk about work. What are those in your hands?”

“Geez, I’m so done with you. Okay, here—two files for your review. Which do you want to open up first?” She raised both hands and waved the envelopes. The envelope in her left hand was very thin. The other envelope was relatively thicker, but it was still on the thin side.

Sehun pointed to the left with his chin. “That one.”

“Mrs. Ikyung Do directly sent a letter of direction—here’s her retainer agreement. You just need to sign it.”

“Directly? To you?”

“Yeah, she sent it by courier to my house last night. I considered contacting you immediately, but it seemed too simple of a matter to bother you on your day off, so I’m handing it to you today.”
