Once Lawrence had learned about Ivan and how he knew where his target was, he decided to pay a visit to him, to which he calmly walked across the village looking for the town hall as the 2 dragons were brutally fighting, slamming, biting, and trying to immobilize each other.

Meanwhile, Charles had already reached where the 2 dragons were fighting. He tried to whistle to his own dragon in a specific pattern so it would act accordingly. As he expected, the dragon quickly jumped away and landed nearby Charles to then open its jaws and let a pressured stream of water cut through the skin of the snake-like dragon just like with the amalgamation in the horde. However, the new scales of Lawrence’s dragon showed reflected the water stream, bending it upon hitting the sides of the dragon and causing the buildings nearby to suffer the repercussions of the water stream. Charles was forced to make the dragon stop as the situation seemed to deteriorate since the remaining soldiers from his team got caught in the middle of the fight between the 2 massive beasts.

Right now I can’t tell if I will be able to suppress it successfully, but I can only hope it will work. –Charles thought while concentrating on the snake-like dragon that was moving closer to him. Suddenly, while pointing at the dragon moving towards him, Charles triggered his magic ability, stopping the dragon on its tracks and making it twitch and convulse in pain.

Lawrence, who was slowly moving away from the place, noticed there was something wrong with his dragon and decided to take priority on solving that issue first, as the dragon represented one of his cards against the ruler of Delcyt.

Charles attempted to apply his magic, which allowed him to create a constant state of involuntary muscle contraction, rendering the target of his ability immobile as the target itself deals with a lot of pain. However, Charles could only focus on 1 target at a time given the magnitude of such ability since he could even apply it to the dragon before him. This ability also had its limitations, since the infected could continue moving despite any pain that could be inflicted on them.

Lawrence seemed to not fully understand the situation but realized the dragon next to Charles noticed his presence and started to approach him; so, as a measure to avoid further problems, Lawrence walked towards Charles as he seemed very exposed, disregarding the dragon moving closer. With a swift swing of his scythe, Lawrence knocked back the dragon, inflicting a nasty-looking slice on its jaw. Charles quickly turned to see what happened behind him but his left leg was sliced off in a second, making him suddenly lose his concentration, and allowing the dragon under the effect of his ability to quickly retaliate and rush towards him.

I didn’t expect it to be this way, but I think I must finish it properly. –Charles thought trying to not let the pain consume him while pulling a ring off from a grenade he had on his belt while Lawrence’s dragon bit and crushed him. The explosion then made the dragon go on a rampage for several minutes, increasing the damage to the nearby buildings.

Once the issue was solved, Lawrence left to search for Ivan who was hiding in his office, holding a shotgun with both hands and expectant of whoever entered through his door. Meanwhile, Lorenz kept trying to contact the Falladis contingency agency since there is a terrorist attack in Casamira, and despite having a patrolling team stationed in there already, the situation seemed to deteriorate fast.

The plane transporting Chronos’ group and the rest of the platoon was closing fast to Casamira but the fatalities were increasing by the minute. This worried Gree who kept reading the emails sent by Ivan to try finding any other clues between the details stated. The situation might have happened already and I wouldn’t know. If we lose Ivan Falladis will probably be drawn to war we wouldn’t be able to win.” –She thought while biting her thumbnail, expressing anxiety and worry.

Chronos remained silent and trying to focus on the plan Gree explained to him before taking off from the capital since he was probably the one who could be able to actually fight a developed dragon since the custom weapons were made especially for tasks of this magnitude were not in their hands. With the training he was subjected to, Chronos learned to minimize the size of the spears he could create to increase the general amount of them by larger proportions. However, this was not possible with the spikes he could make appear from the ground. Having seen this, Gree idealized a plan as a countermeasure against the dragon Ivan was speaking of in the emails he sent. At the same time, in Chronos’ mind, Pandora was slowly creeping up to whisper to him about thoughts he never had and showing him memories he never experienced as an attempt to mess with his judgment, trying to get him to lose focus.

Sinns was feeling rather nervous since they could still lose Chronos due to the existence of Pandora being around him as a ghost, something that would simply make the plan fail, but, Gree also tried to think about this possibility and the plan b would be around the possibility of Elvira and Sinns distracting the dragon while the rest of soldiers would coordinate a swift evacuation, given there wasn’t a high toll of deaths due to the incursion of a terrorist team. Both plans were in case of the worse already happening but the whole group was unsure of what they would find upon reaching the area.

In Casamira, after Lawrence finished off Charles, his initial thought was to keep searching for Ivan, but as he began to walk, he noticed the other dragon still breathing slowly, making him wonder if he could also take control over it by exhaustive training as he did with the one he already had. “Hey, you, don’t let this one escape.” –Lawrence commanded to his dragon while snapping his fingers and pointing towards the badly injured dragon in front of him.

After trashing on the buildings nearby, the snake dragon managed to understand the brief order and began to could around the injured one, restraining its movements. With this possible threat taken care of, Lawrence strolled through the empty streets of Casamira looking for the town hall which didn’t take much time for him to find.

Ivan was constantly guarding the door to his office, expectant to be visited by one of the terrorists at any moment. As time passed, lowered his guard a bit to call Lorenz and find out about the situation with any reinforces coming from the capital, to which Lorenz was silent, denoting the lack of hope he expressed. “What happened to Charles and his team?” –Ivan asked while looking towards his door as a dense mist began to invade the whole building.

“Footage from his body camera revealed he was killed by the dragon brought by the terrorists.” –Lorenz said in a discouraged tone as Ivan could hear footsteps and loud thuds from out of his office, making him put down the phone and raising his shotgun towards his window door once again. “Ivan you need to leave the village now, we don’t know what they want but you should save yourself.” –Lorenz continued as the door in Ivan’s office slowly opened. The next thing Lorenz could hear through the phone was a loud shotgun shot, alarming him even more before the call ended.

Once Ivan shot as the door was opened, the body of one of the security guards fell on the ground, fully opening the door and showing how there was nothing but mist in the room outside. Before he could check on the fallen guard, a sudden slash split the shotgun, rendering it useless. Right when Ivan reacted to it, Lawrence had already kicked him down, making him fall and hit his head against his desk, blacking out instantly. “Did I just kill you without intending to?” –Lawrence chuckled at what happened and started to drag Ivan out of the building. Outside of the building, Lawrence called on the remaining soldiers that accompanied him to restrain Ivan in order to use his ability for Delcyt. However, he noticed a plane flying on top of the area and instantly saw the dropping soldiers coming from that plane. “Tch, we have to go now, I’ll have to take care of this dragon first and take the information of where VM01 is from this old man later.” –Lawrence said while approaching closer to the injured dragon restrained by the snake.

Approximately 10 minutes after Lawrence ended with Charles’ dragon and was making his way to the convoy from which they came. One of the vehicles exploded after being smashed down by a big battle axe while Sinns released herself from the parachute to then land on the destroyed vehicle, making Lawrence laugh a lot and confusing Sinns who instantly demolished another of the vehicles to create a blockade after seeing the soldiers moving with Ivan in his arms.

“You saved me the hard work of having to find you.” –Lawrence joked while pulling a gun out of the belt of one of the soldiers next to him and shooting Ivan on the head.

Sinns, eyes widened after witnessing the instant kill without hesitation, gripping tightly on the axe and instinctively jumping toward Lawrence to land a hit that would most likely split him in half. Once the axe landed on the ground, a dense mist surrounded Sinns while she stared in shock at the soldier she had cut in half, failing to understand when or how Lawrence moved. With a gentle touch, Lawrence rested his hand on Sinns’ shoulders with a wicked expression of compassion on his face. Sinns then fell down as her legs were sliced off by Lawrence.

While slowly falling unconscious, Sinns understood the reason behind her disorientation and it was the same drug used by the ruler to subdue her before the surgery on which DD’s genes were implanted in her. Without being able to resist, Sinns simply landed on the ground while Lawrence observed her brief struggle. However, he felt there was something coming his way as the air began to whistle, so as a reflex he shrouded himself into his mist once again to avoid a fatal hit from Elvira who shattered the ground lightly and picked up Sinns to run away into Casamira as fast as she could. After snapping his fingers, the snake dragon used its tail to whip Elvira to the ground immobilizing her as Lawrence began to walk towards them. But to Lawrence’s surprise, spikes resembling the ones he avoided in the Pandora’s forest suddenly pierced to the ground, pushing away the dragon and keeping Lawrence into his mist while Chronos observed the situation from on top of the building he landed on.

The dragon shifted its attention to Chronos and Chronos immediately realized it was Hisato’s dragon, taking his attention away from it briefly to looks for Hisato but could only see Charles’ dragon dead against one of the buildings in the vicinity. Right when Chronos turned around, the snake dragon had lunged towards him but was suddenly hit by one of Chronos’ ashen spears, successfully altering the trajectory of the snake’s head. The snake on the other hand used its body to slam Chronos away from the building he was on. With this opportunity given by Chronos, Elvira ran away once again with Sinns in her arms.

Several soldiers already landed in Casamira and started immediately with the plan. Gree and Phil were coordinating the soldiers along with the group of people who were evacuating the village. A couple of minutes after they searched around the town hall for Ivan, Elvira appeared with Sinns in her arms as her legs stopped bleeding. “Grace, Ivan is dead, and Lawrence is here.” –Elvira said while panting and letting Sinns down on one of the pieces of furniture in the town hall. Gree’s expression turned to terror after realizing Delcyt soldiers were the terrorists behind the attack, understanding they would be using the custom weapons she created.
