Nozomanu Fushi no Boukensha

Episode 544: Stacked Challenges and Messages

"Oh, what about that... the Bone Knight showed up"

When I say that, Shayla opens her eyes.

"Huh! Were you okay?!? No, it must have been okay to be here like this..."

I was surprised at the exaggeration at first, but after grasping the situation, Shayla chills and squeaks like that, looking at my face and urging me ahead.

"Well, you're right. I guess that would have been done in an instant if I tried solo back in the day and something like that came out, but now... they could have made me a lot stronger too than I used to. We could have defeated them normally."

"Is it true...?

That's what Shayla asks suspiciously, knowing exactly what I used to be, so I take this loot out of my magic bag and say.

"Look, it's the demon stone of a bone knight. I feel slightly bigger than normal..."

The demonic stone I took out and placed on the reception deck.

It is well known that the quality is different compared to that of the big, red, low-ranking demons.

"Sure...... that's a little bigger. Of course, demonic demonic stones are suburban by individuals... but they're like big enough that you've never even seen them. Maybe I just don't have enough experience."

"Even from Shayla's point of view. Is that so? As much as I've seen some standard stuff, I thought it might be something like this. But then... maybe I should think that was a little stronger."

At least, as a bone knight, you could throw away the idea that it's the lowest.

If you struggled that far with your opponent to that extent, the silver test is really at stake.

It could mean we should drop him off this time.

To this, Shayla,

"Right...... definitely bigger than the standard one, so I think you can at least assume there was a silver inferior. Of course, I'm not a professional appraiser, so I'm not sure."

"No, that's all I need to know. Hey, I'm losing confidence."

"Really? How come again?"

"I was pretty strong, that bone knight. I won't even say I did everything I could... but I don't think I would have won if I had been alarmed. I could have stayed nervous and stayed relatively intact because the villagers were being used as guides, but I wish it was as easy as usual, it's a little scary."

"Is Mr. Lent that much of a bone knight you think he is...... I don't know why in Yarlan, but the Immortal 'Undead' lineage is supposed to be less likely to emerge than in any other country...... Is there some kind of anomaly or is there some other reason...... you have to look it up carefully. There's just something about Lutet grass, and at this point, you might want to organize a team of experts around it. Thanks for the good info, Mr. Lent."

"No, no, no. If you do, I won't have to worry about it later. It'll help."

This request, though well scattered with the source of the bone man, was not clear but there were many uncomfortable parts.

For once, I came back when it was done, but my confidence that nothing would happen ahead wasn't that strong, and that's why I wanted a solid investigation in.

They guessed my thoughts like that, and Shayla glanced at me.

"... was that why I told you so much about Lutet grass? I knew you were a cautious person..."

I'm going to say.

"It's not even that big a deal. Nobody's gonna hurt you, are they?

"Well, it is. It feels like it's working."

"No, I can't do that."

"I'm a little suspicious when Mr. Lent says... let's just say that this time, no one does lose anything. Is it okay to say that this concludes the report?

"Oh. I got a good reward, too. See you later, Shayla."

"Yeah, Mr. Lent. Also... oh, I almost forgot"

Shortly before he tried to put the Adventurers Union Guild behind him, Shayla panicked and said so.

He had something to do.

Looking back,

"You still got something?

Asking, Shayla says.

"No, it's not from the Adventurers' Union, but Mr. Crope left a message."

"Clope? Blacksmith's?

"Yeah, right after Mr. Lent got to this request, I just misplaced him."

"You did a bad thing to Crope. So, what?

"If you're back in Malt, he wants you to show your face to Mr. Crope. I have a request through the Alliance of Adventurers for everything…"

"That's why Shayla left a message... but what is it? You can tell me directly."

Most adventurers take a request through the Adventurers' Union Guild, but there is no law to control it even if you make a request directly to an adventurer.

There is nothing ethically reprehensible.

So it's done normally, and Crop usually asks me to get some material, if it's as much a request as it is.

The benefit of making a direct request would be a reduction in the request fee from the client's side, and from the contractor's side, in turn, an increase in compensation.

Crope's frequent requests to me were a sentiment telling me to get paid a little more because I didn't make any money.

I just don't need that anymore, right now.

And if you don't pass the Adventurers' Union Guild, you don't naturally earn points to increase your rank in the Adventurers' Union Guild.

It doesn't matter how many times I take a small old request, and whether or not I can make enough points to get a silver grade in the first place, there were times when Claude thought it would be better for me to ask directly.

But now...... I'm already eligible to take the silver test.

I am able to do enough in terms of rewards, even with middleouts such as the fees for the Adventurers' Union Guild.

You should make a request through the Adventurers Union, even in the sense that you earn points that count after you become a silver class.

That's what Crope is thinking and trying to make a request, I guess.

I still feel a little uncomfortable though......

I wonder why?

It's just a hunch, but you can't fool around with that.

Either way, I'll tell Shayla.

"Okay. If that's the case, I'll visit you later. See you this time, Shayla."

"Yes."

That's how I left the Adventurers Union.
