NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game
Chapter 10: Finding The First Target to Wreck
He knew this quest would trigger a series of long chained quests to save and protect many shrines all over the game, creating a sensational sense of belonging, as each shrine saved would grant the players in its area certain, permanent buffs.
That was one of the famous things that drew more players to the game. Bloom now knew what he should do, as if the rumors were true, then this team path and that player path would briefly intercept each other before reaching level ten.
The moment he would find this player, would be the day he wouldn't stop until he zeroed him out.
"Tell me, where are you from?" another swordsman came to him and asked. Bloom knew this was just a beginning to ask him about another thing, his collecting skill.
"I'm from here, we are all from here," he joked, trying to evade answering the question.
"Oh, sure," the swordsman was startled with this weird reply, "so, I was wondering about how you collect all these materials from monsters in no time at all!"
The question of this swordsman, who was slim, shorter than Bloom, and went by the name Edra, attracted everyone's attention.
It wasn't a secret that they all were astonished at the way he gathered materials. They always collected materials, but it took longer time, and many materials would end up being lost.
But he, in front of them, never had one single damaged material, which seemed related to a skill or a talent. They tried to look for it, but they couldn't find any data on the forums.
"It's a skill called collecting skill, a branched skill from the lifestyle faction," he simply replied, nicely and helpful he hoped, so he could be with them until he met his target.
"Oh, is there a lifestyle faction? I searched for lifestyle classes, but never found anything!" Peri, the future carder jumped in the talk, asking with passion about this matter.
It seemed strange to Bloom, as the girl in front of him, this sixteen years old, blond hair, golden green eyes, slim body, fair porcelain skin, wasn't that hard to deal with. In fact, he would put her in an easy to get category.
"There isn't a lifestyle class here," Bloom simply replied, and his confidence seemed to give them an impression that he knew info more than them.
"Is it true? I read about how to craft weapons and make potions in the promo," the assassin of the team, called Brendy, said, while he was going upfront, leading them towards the dungeon.
"Yes, you can forge weapons, make potions, and other lifestyle stuff, but you need to have talents, not classes," Bloom replied, shrugging his shoulders, "I dunno why, but to have a lifestyle class you need to have the talent of it, then equip yourself with skills needed for it," he added, trying to act as the source of invaluable information.
And he was truly that one to them.
"Brother Bloom seems to know a lot about the game," Gored pumped in, as he added, "Are you a beta player? I know a beta player as well, and he looks exactly like you."
The eyes of Bloom shone brightly, as he knew that key player was rumored to be a beta tester of the game.
"Aha, it's a secret of mine, can't tell, sorry, can't tell," he waved his hands in an innocence, like he couldn't really tell them anything.
"Tsk, didn't I say they two are alike?" Gored said, with some annoyance on his face, speaking to the rest of his team, as they all nodded their heads in agreement.
"The two looks exactly the same," Peri said, "but I like this one better than that arrogant one!"
Her remark made Bloom have some speculations about the relationship between the two. It seemed that the player wasn't welcomed here at all, and thus he soon left the team after briefly joining it.
"I heard he is looking to make his own team, spreading the word here and there," Gored said, as he shook his head, "that punk, if he only was someway modest, I would have gladly accepted him," he, regretfully added.
"But he wanted all of us to work under him, calling him boss," Brendy smirked from the forefront, making everyone laugh.
"Is he strong?" Bloom asked, trying not to be suspicious when asking about that player.
"Him? He is a skilled swordsman, I think he is as skilled as you," Gored said, as he watched Bloom fighting the monsters from before, "but he is really arrogant, very arrogant, not like you at all," Gored added.
Bloom didn't get anything new, but the good impression he left in them was a good start. He wanted to ask to be with them for the dungeon hunt, but he refrained from doing this now, it was so soon to ask for this.
"The dungeon is up ahead," Brendy suddenly said, breaking the little chat among the team.
As the dungeon came in sight, Bloom found a small cave entrance appearing like it was enforced to be here. the color, the materials it was made of weren't matching the terrain around it.
That was a sample of the normal dungeons spread all over the game. dungeons here weren't that hard to find, or finish, as long as you select a suitable dungeon to hit.
This dungeon was level three dungeon, and that was known easily by Bloom when he investigated the monsters roaming around the cave entrance.
"Zondily: level three dungeon monster."
