NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game
Chapter 108: Having Enough Contribution Points Finally!
The list all had one thing in common; dirty dark tasks commissioned by the dark masters of the dark side. All of the missions required him to do something to certain places, or NPC.
The most amazing thing was that this list was strangely similar in general basis to the list of missions he had for his secret class, but on a larger and wider scale.
"Some can't be done as I don't get what even these names mean, but I can think about these general quests here," Bloom muttered as he noticed the list contained two general sets of missions; one that resembled the list of his secret class directed towards one specific target, and the other was directed towards a general target.
Like attack any caravan heading to or from the system facilities. "I just did such a job, will that be considered as a finish?" he thought to himself as he opened the panel of the reward that had a label of one thousand contribution points on it.
"Hoho, this is really interesting," he laughed as when he opened the reward info, he found the quest wasn't only a fixed one, but it varied according to the level and rank of the cargo hijacked and the caravan stolen.
"Let's see, hmm… I need to hijack the caravan and put here anything I salvaged from it. The meter here will measure and evaluate the final value of the item, determining the final price of it. If I agree then the deal is final, if I reject then I will retrieve the item and pay ten contribution points as compensation."
He read the instructions before glancing at an empty square in the middle of the screen in front of his eyes. "So I can take, hmm… this shield here has no value for me right now, so I can put it here and see the magic," he said as he took a shield he salvaged from the NPCs he fought with from before.
The moment he put it into the square, the edges of it shone with dark light before a veil of black fog fell from the inner corners of the square, covering the entire shield.
And the next thing was that the fog leaked outside the square, gathered together to form letters then words. "A shield taken from a personal entourage of a very esteemed member of the shrine of gold. The total contribution points equal to such a piece is twenty thousand points!"
"Holy sh*t! Twenty thousands in one go! you are so generous, thank you, thanks a lot!" Bloom was almost about to kiss the screen but he couldn't even get close to it with his lips to do that!
"Do you accept such a trade? Beware, once agreed you can't undone it!"
"Sure I do," he instantly agreed without any hesitation. He knew if the standard price given to him by the system was this rich, then the real price he could amass from the dark market would be much higher.
But, he came here to find a solution to this annoying summoning fog, so he needed points fast to secure this gadget.
"Deal is completed, do you want to evaluate another item?"
"Thanks, that's more enough," he simply replied before returning to the outer interface where the main exchange was going. He started to examine the tools sold there, to feel somehow speechless!
First of all it seemed the most common item there was three things, the tokens to summon his precious dollies, the tokens to summon ranked dark agents, and finally there was something called a fallen callout scroll.
"Muna, do you know of tokens to summon ranked dark agents and a fallen callout scroll?" he asked without turning his gaze away from the screen, trying to make a random assessment of the value of these three common items.
"The tokens are to summon dark agents, but these agents can't be separated from the master. If they get caught they will be like you getting caught. A dangerous tool that's normally used when you have nothing to lose, like in the battlefield for example," she said, and her words made Bloom recall something he also gained during his rewards from the system.
"Is it like those agents I can summon by my basic agent of darkness rank?" he asked.
"Yes, they are the same."
"Oh, it's nice I didn't try to call them out then," he smiled before asking: "What about the scrolls? Are they this dangerous too?"
"The scroll is used to call the fallen troops, those deserters from any battlefield. Their soul will be cursed by darkness and they will be haunted for eternity for betraying their master."
"Oh, that sounds scary and unsafe to use," he sighed.
"No, they are very trustworthy as they are bound by the scroll through their souls; they can't disobey an order from the owner of the scroll even if he asked them to die!" she said, before adding, "essentially they can't die, as you can easily revive them using gold coins."
"Oh," Bloom turned to look at her before adding, "but why would a player like me be in need of such a thing? These scrolls should be worth a fortune on the battlefield."
But Muna shook her head as she said:
"If they stepped into the battlefield they would be burnt down by the battlefield wrathful gods and they would be killed. So, despite the scrolls will fall in large quantities in the battlefield, it is worth absolutely nothing there."
He glanced shortly at her before returning to observe the auction interface for a minute before nodding. "You are absolutely right, the price of these scrolls are sold low ground, ranging between twenty and fifty points."
"That's normal, as they have no use for our masters in the battlefields."
"That's good as a price, but I still see no value for such fallen and cursed souls to me!"
"The scroll alone is worthless indeed, but when a master can amass one thousand scroll together, he can summon a small unit of a thousand fallen fighters. Then it will be much beneficial for the master."
Bloom gave her a long glance as he silently nodded for her to continue. "Once summoned a thousand, you can appoint one of the dark agents of us to be their commander, give this unit a name and buy a flag from the auction house called the unit flag. Gathering all these together then the master can accept any task from the auction house, no matter how far it is, and assign this task to his subordinate unit, and the unit can move out and do the task for him."
The eyes of Bloom shone brightly this time, as he was totally interested in this. "But if they got caught? Won't this unit be linked to me?" he asked.
"That's the rule of the dark agent, master. If they get caught, then they will be branded to the dark agent's name, with the master name will be free and clear from any danger."
"Oho, I like this, you are a genius Muna," he said as he hugged her for a moment, feeling her soft body in his arms before releasing her as he said:
"If we were somewhere else, I might have properly rewarded you," he said in an apology tone that had some regret, which made the face of Muna slightly blush. "I'm the slave of the master, the master can do whatever he wants with me and I will be happy," she said, and something in her words pained him a bit, but he didn't give much thought to that.
"Let's start buying these amazing things then," he then returned to his interface as he started his first bidding.
