NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game

Chapter 235: A Sudden Development

"Alright, you'll work directly under me," Gerard said before shouting, "prepare to leave, our goal is nearby and all we need to do is to attack and crush the caravan within the shortest span of time we had."

Bloom watched everyone preparing to move, yet he wanted to delay this lot of players. "What's the mission?" he asked.

"To hijack a caravan," Gerard said, "don't worry, it's not that hard to crack."

Bloom glanced all around and faked hesitation.

"It's not time to have cold feet man," Gerard laughed, "if you are afraid to lose one level then go back, I don't want pussies here."

Just as he said that with a big laugh a loud shout came from the front:

"Intruders!"

This shout startled everyone while Gerard had a strange look over his face. "Go and see what's going on," he said to one of his players who simply moved fast to the front.

'Are you here?' Bloom sent to Antoan using this brief moment of chaos all around.

'We are on our way,' Antoan sent, 'just three more minutes top.'

'…'

Bloom was surprised to hear that before the player Gerard sent came running from the front with a dark look over his face. "It's that crazy princess and her entire group of players," he shouted.

"Nara?" Gerard asked before his face showed a vicious look, "great, it's time for her to be taught a lesson. Listen up," he turned to everyone around as he shouted, "go and lead your teams. The quest can be delayed for more time but this sweet cake here can't."

"Who is she?" Bloom faked ignorance but Gerard didn't answer.

"She is the boss's boss's girlfriend," the player who brought Bloom here said, "but she is a crazy person," he added once noticed the doubt over Bloom's face.

"Hannipal," Gerard suddenly shouted, "come with me, we need to crush those arrogant boys who she called elites."

"Right away boss," Bloom faked his excitement while accepting the add from Gerard.

He hastily checked the team's levels. Gerard was still twenty-four while his men all were lower than him with one level. 'Piece of cake,' he simply thought to himself. 'Be prepared, Nara is here with her entire team,' he hurriedly sent to Antoan.

'Damn! She is really resourceful,' Antoan sent before adding, 'Do you want us to delay our appearance?'

'No,' Bloom shook his head, 'this is better for us.'

'But you…' Antoan paused before sending again, 'Jeffrey and Peri already know about you. She will see you and know your strength.'

Bloom had to inwardly sigh. 'We have to accept this fate then,' he simply said, 'I can just evade meeting her in real life.'

'And make her more doubtful?' Antoan said before adding, 'I think it's best if you go. After all you are the new lord and avenging the old one seems to work for your favor.'

Bloom thought a little about this before sending, 'Let's think it again after all this ends.'

'This girl,' he reached the front and spotted Nara leading a grand number of players who seemed to match the big number on Gerard's side, 'I have to be more careful then.'

"Little girl, what brought you here today?" Gerard moved to the front while his own fifty team of elite and carefully chosen followed. The two sides were now standing neck to neck while their pets were summoned to add more to this epic scene.

"You damn bastard," Nara shouted in absolute rage, "I won't rest until I kill you and your boss and make you all leave the game."

"Humph," Gerard didn't show any weakness while glancing over the grand number of enemies in front of him, "you sure have your own spies here, interesting," he laughed before pointing to his own army of players and added:

"I don't doubt spies present here, but this is a nice thing to lure you out and kill you here. I hope this would wake you up a little, my face slap I mean," he laughed as if he cracked a very funny one.

And his men just laughed along with him.

However Bloom was busy with something else.

The moment he appeared beside Gerard the faces of Peri and Jeffrey changed. He spotted them glaring in shock at him before the two exchanged silent glances.

And then the face of Nara changed as she turned to glance directly at him.

"I see you gathered some good players to your side," she sneered while not removing her eyes off Bloom.

'Damn girl, can't you react better?' and Bloom inwardly cursed.

"If I knew you'd appear today I'd have brought more," yet Gerard didn't get these changes as he laughed, "he isn't the only strong ones here, so don't be ashamed to turn around and leave before I decide to kill you."

He pointed over to Bloom while sneering. "This is just for boss's sake, after all it would be bad if he got the news."

"I'm sure he would be pissed off," Nara finally moved her eyes away from Bloom as she added, "receiving the news of the death of his butler on my hands… hahaha, I can't even imagine the look over his face without falling on the ground."

She laughed and her army of players laughed as well, but strangely the look over Gerard's face didn't change. 'He is overly confident,' Bloom thought, 'there are spies inside Nara's team, be a bit late to show up,' he sent to Atnoan as he decided to change the plans.

As if there are traitors, it was best to wait until they show up their true colors. After all they were such a deadly thorn over the neck of Nara and his, and so he needed to deal with them in utmost care.

'Roger that,' Antoan simply said, 'we are less than one minute run from your place.'

'Good, wait for my signal then,' Bloom sent before Nara raised her two swords to the air before shouting, "For Bloom!"

It looked weird seeing his own girl starting such a fight and shout out his name. "Be ready to receive them," Gerard simply said while a confident smile appeared on top of his face.

The first clash between the two sides was very intense from the beginning. The first to fight was the pets, then the melee players hit the shield bearers while those shade sons vanished from both sides and a massacre simply kicked off in such heat from the start.

"Make them move," just after the first exchange between the two sides started, Gerard whispered to one of his trusted aides, "I don't like wasting time of worthless flies."

"All of them?" the henchman asked with an interesting look over his face.

"Send them all," Gerard answered after a moment of pause, "the boss might go crazy at me but we already have more spies hidden well around her."

This news made Bloom sneer inwardly as he received first handed secrets from the mouth of his enemy directly and easily like that.

And just the next moment almost one third of the players on Nara's side turned around and started hitting those next to them.

And chaos erupted then.

'Come now,' Bloom sent to his butler, 'it's time to butcher these sheep.'
