NPC into Player: Let's Wreck This Game
Chapter 5: Killing The First Player in The Game
As he decided, he moved towards the tiger group, where there were over a hundred tigers standing there, doing nothing at all but walking slowly, amidst each other.
He stood on the area outside their territory, and watched them until he found a tiger was going in a direction away from the group.
"It's you then," he muttered, heading straight towards that tiger, to attack it from the rear.
"Stab."
The first skill he used was the basic skill of his, as his right hand sword moved to hit the back leg of the tiger. That sword penetrated the thick skin of the tiger, causing it to roar in pain, while a white number floated above its head.
"30"
That was the loss of the monster Hp, which revealed the Hp bar of that monster for brief moments.
"Hmm, so it's around one hundred Hp points for level one monsters," Bloom muttered as he followed the first sword with another strike.
"Stab!"
"30"
Another big number appeared above the monster head. The monster was about to turn to face Bloom, but it paused, intending to change its course, and run away.
This wasn't missed from the keen eyes of Bloom, who used the one skill he was saving to this moment.
"Slice."
"Slice."
This time he used one skill twice in a row, moving, faster than the tiger's speed, to stand in front of the tiger, as his two swords were cutting the thick skin of that monster.
"40"
"40"
It was over, as the monster roared, before it fell on the ground, with some blood soaking the green grass.
"System alert: player has killed monster level one, and gained ten Xp."
The system announced his killing to the monster, which had a strange infinity sign above its body. Bloom just sighed when he looked at this sign.
"I don't have any collecting skill to gather these materials, tsk."
Monsters in the game would die and leave their bodies for the players to collect materials from. Normally, any player can collect materials or gather herbs on his own, but this would consume much time, and in the process many materials would be lost.
There was a rule in the game, any killed monster's body would have a limit to its existence. As this was the early stage of the game, the bodies of killed monsters would pile up forever until players came and salvaged materials from them.
Materials were one of the hard currencies in the game, as it was used in many diverse ways, all were essential and considered life and money saving. Despite knowing that, Bloom knew it would be easier if he upgraded to level one, gained the one Sp point he would collect each level, and then learnt a collecting skill.
He had ten XP points. To reach level one, he had to have three hundred XP, which meant he needed to kill twenty nine more monsters.
"One down, twenty nine to go," he muttered as he moved his eyes to look at another tiger, before running to attack it.
It went all fine, until the twentieth monster, where players started to swarm the place. the appearance of players came in waves a while ago, but they didn't disturb him, and he didn't disturb them.
All went well until one loser guy decided to interrupt his rhythm, at the moment when he was about to land a killing blow to the monster.
"Stay away!" Bloom roared, as he felt the player running towards his back, intending to bypass him and kill the monster. The player was also a swordsman, but Bloom didn't care about that.
As the player neared him, bloom finally used his last skill, which he reserved for emergencies.
"Ground breaker."
His left hand sword moved on its own, at unparalleled speed, to suddenly appear on the back of Bloom, meeting the other sword of that player.
"Clang!"
"0"
"-55"
A clear sound appeared, as the two swords met, while Bloom had a big zero above his head, while that player had minus fifty fife on the top of his, in bright red color. That wasn't the end of it, as Bloom's body moved, on its own, to turn backward, facing that player whose eyes were wide open from the strong loss he just suffered.
"Bye bye, slice."
The sword in his hand linked to the move, and moved to cut that player's body, while Bloom kept moving, turning around the player's body, which had a big minus fifty five over his head again, before slamming on the ground, so heavily that it even caused a thud sound.
He died, just like that, with only two strikes, one seemed pretty impossible to all the players who were watching here.
Bloom didn't care about them, as he looked towards his monster, to find no trace of it.
"That stupid bas****" he cursed as he lost the monster, eventually.
"System alert: you killed another player. Your fame decreased by one point. You can't enter the system villages, towns, cities, and capitals before washing your negative fame. Kill more monsters to do it, and stop killing other players."
Bloom just ignored the last remark after laughing shortly at it. he wasn't here to play, he was here to make chaos. He checked his stamina, to find he lost half of his own during the two fights which he just had in a row.
"Tsk, it's a regret that players can't drop anything before level ten," he complained, as killing others wouldn't give him any benefit for now.
He decided to take a break, go to look for another area to level up. He still needed to kill ten monsters, and after that he would level up.
Just as he moved away from here, many players started to gossip, talking about what just happened here.
He noticed their whispers until he moved far enough to hear nothing, but he didn't care about their opinions or claims about him. He just wanted to level up in peace, reach level ten, go to town, and then start looking for some problems to cause.
Just as he went ahead, he found himself passing through places full of players leveling up. He noticed many accidents like the one that just happened to him. He kept moving forward, until there were no more players here anymore.
"What a nuisance!" he shook his head, as he was glad he, finally, got rid of these players. He was now nearby a group of tigers, which he moved towards with complete ease.
Just as he reached them, he selected one tiger randomly, as he now was very experienced in dealing with them, before pointing his sword towards it and murmured:
"Stab."
His sword moved, penetrated the monster thick skin, causing it to roar, but at this moment, the number that floated up from the monster made Bloom feel stupid.
"Zero!"
