“Okay.” Zhao chuckled. He didn’t have a forceful expression at all. “You’ll start tonight. There will be a short training session with the new sisters.”

Sisters! This term could both be positive or negative. An Ran suddenly shivered.

“Okay,” she mumbled.

“I’ll take your ID now.” Zhao took out his phone. “Tell me your bank account. I’ll transfer the money now.”

An Ran recited the number and she quickly received the money. She turned to leave. “I’ll go on an errand and come to work at night.”

“Sure,” Zhao said easily. He wasn’t worried about An Ran escaping.

The Royal Nightclub was able to thrive without failing, so they naturally had people on both sides. They could find anyone quickly.

After An Ran left, Zhao called someone. “Note down this ID number. Name’s An Ran, coming to work tonight.”

“What kind of job?” the other asked cleanly.

“Drinking company.” Zhao yawned as he spoke.

“That’s it?” The other was surprised.

“The sheep is in the lion’s den,” Zhao said lazily. “She can’t escape.”

An Ze was brought out of the police station.

An Ran quickly went up to him and patted his face. “A-ze, are you okay?”

After spending the night in the police station, An Ze’s handsome face was stubbled and looked frail.

An Ran’s heart went out for him. “Look at you.”

“Sister, I’m okay.” An Ze shrugged carelessly. Putting an arm over An Ran’s shoulder, they walked out intimately.

“Don’t do illegal racing anymore,” An Ran urged. “It’s dangerous and illegal. A-ze, listen to me.”

“I know.” An Ze smiled. He was only not cold to his family members.

“I’m serious.” An Ran adjusted her tone to remind An Ze that she was serious.

“Sis, don’t worry. It’s just car racing. Don’t you trust my skills?” An Ze hugged An Ran and said, “Don’t worry. I’m fine, seriously.”

Ah. An Ran sighed.

How would he know that, in order to save him, she… The police officer indeed kept his word and didn’t tell An Ze the sum of the bail. He still thought it was only a few thousand yuan.

But as long as An Ze was safe, she was okay with being a drinking girl.

“Sister, I actually race for the bar’s business,” An Ran said in one breath.

When they were kids, An Ze had had good grades and An Ran thought he was the type to get a PhD.

Who knew that after he entered college, he fell in love with music? He found some friends with similar interests and started an underground band.

Before they graduated, he had already gone out to perform at night and earn a living allowance.

He received some fame though. After graduating, he and his band started running a bar while singing in it. They attracted some forward-thinking girls and boys.

An Ran knew that An Ze raced to keep those customers. People who often visited bars definitely loved action. He had to keep giving them stimulating and fresh things.

There were so many small bars like his and competition was fierce. Many female customers went just for him.

An Ran understood An Ze’s difficulty, so she didn’t continue.

Seeing her stay silent, An Ze felt guilty. “Sis, are you upset that I’m so disappointing?”

“No,” An Ran quickly said with a smile. “I’ll support whatever you do, but try not to do illegal racing anymore.”

“Okay.” An Ze nodded. Hugging An Ran, he reached out a hand to call a cab. “Go home and eat Mom’s food. I haven’t gone back in so long. I’ll probably get yelled at.”
