One Sword To Rule Them All

Chapter 23 - 60 Years (6)

Arthas was surprised to see the familiar face of Gandalf. The old wizard smiled, "You awakened a power in them similar to yours, Clever; What you have done as a King is quite astonishing.".

Arthas stuck out his chest in mock arrogance and snorted, "Hmph, it is to be expected of the great me no?". Gandalf mockingly said, "Hoho, I see.". The old wizard used his staff to hit Arthas in the shoulder lightly, "You have grown it seems, at least your hair has; As for wisdom well...".

Arthas rubbed his shoulder and they both broke out in a burst of cheerful laughter. They hugged each other as friends; Their reunion was heartwarming. They had not seen each other in the past year.

Arthas noticed that Gandalf seemed to have an urgent matter to discuss with him thus he notified Eiliandir to take care of things as he left with Gandalf.

They entered a big building, it was situated in the middle of the town. 2 flags with unique signs stuck out from the sides; The gate was big and could accommodate several people entering at the same time. The height and width of the building showed it was the command center of the Town. Arthas sat on a seat that resembled a Throne of sorts, "So tell me, what ails you?". Gandalf's face turned serious, "A new darkness is growing in the north, scouts of Erebor reported the marching of an undead army. This matter must be investigated.".

Arthas's lips twitched a little, he facepalmed internally, 'Of course, they noticed... there is no Frostmourn to cover the Dark magic...'. Frostmourne emitted a cold Darkness but it wasn't visible and feelable by the average person, even a wizard like Gandalf failed to notice its true terror. Galadriel was barely able to sense its evil darkness. The being who had bestowed him the sword had perhaps thought of the situation. However, Since the undead were too far away the concealment had weakened. He had not thought the scouts would spot the Army even in the deserted mountains with no road there. 'What the hell should I do?'

Gandalf began walking in the room and saying in worry, "The enemy to the south does not have the power or influence to do such a thing in its current state; The orcs are also laying low, the only possibility is a new Necromancer, A very powerful one. I fear the worst...".

"Arthas, What are your thoughts on the matter?" Arthas wanted to bash his head in the wall. 'What do you think I should think?!' He calmly nodded and frowned, "I will send someone to investigate and see what is going on since it is in my lands. I suggest you stay put for a while; It would be too dangerous for you to go alone now.".

Gandalf shook his head lightly and tapped his staff on the ground lightly, "It can't wait. If it is a real army, then we should deal with it before it becomes bigger and stronger. I will go inform Lady Galadriel and form a party to investigate it.". Arthas heart nearly skipped a beat, 'If she comes she might notice, damn it.'.

"I suggest you don't rush it, I will personally accompany you there and take some paladins and train them along the way. If it turns out to be a simple matter, it would become troublesome raising such a fuss. Your reputation might be affected."

Gandalf nodded, "That would be for the best, I hate to deal with Saruman... We must set off tomorrow morning. If there is an undead army, I fear a new war is coming...". Gandalf soon left leaving a troubled Arthas behind, 'How to deal with this?!'.

The next day, Arthas, Gandalf, and a group of 20 Paladins that had the highest affinity with Arthas's magical powers set off towards the north. He had come up with a plan to not only discover the two cities but also train his paladins using his undead army. The souls would simply return to him if the undead were killed. His only obstacle was delaying it as much as possible.

He left behind Eiliandir, Dumir, Bard, and brad in charge of different parts of the currently small kingdom. He also left behind several instructions.

He instructed Eiliandir to focus the manpower and minerals to make Stormwind and build boats to transfer goods along the River Sirith; He also ordered the daily training of the army and its patrol to make sure the forest remained safe.

He instructed Dumir in Ironforge to build strange devices. He named them Steam engines. He also instructed them to mix several materials while forging in trial and error to get something he named Reinforced steel. He gave them the idea of Zeppelins and how they could work. The work was to be done by dumir and his capable Dwarfs and men. He was not an expert and only had superficial knowledge in those subjects so it relied on the Dwarfs to figure it out; He could only give the idea and its basics.

He gave farming methods inspired by the modern world to Brad who had a good head in such matters and put him in charge of the Farmlands and its protection since the man was also a good commander. He gave the main men army to Bard and left him in charge of Haven. He sent a letter to him that explained how he should build the road and expand the Town.

He left behind manuals he had personally written while traveling around so that the paladins could learn how to use their power. He also left the griffins and instructed some people how they should be fed and raised. The three baby Griffins were now the size of cats.

A plan had formed in his mind; he must instigate a smallscale war and must revive an undead to play the role of leader Necromancer as he remained behind the scenes. 'Hmmm... I must secretly experiment with my Dark powers. I need an undead like Kel'Thuzad to deceive everyone...'

He thought of The legions of Lich King that he remembered and smiled. 'The Cult of the Damned, The Evil in the north, the Evil lich Kel'Thuzad. It's good enough...'

The 2nd year of the Eron Calendar began with many interesting things happening.

Dio widened his arms and arrogantly looked at Jotaro with a sneer, He mockingly said, "It's Useless, I will not rest until your Discord and Pat'reon are destroyed.".

Jotaro sighed, "Yare yare what a mess.". He began slowly walking towards Dio with calm eyes, Dio's sneer intensified, "You are approaching me?". Dio's voice was filled with sarcasm, "You think you can defeat me alone?! HAHA!".

Jotaro fixed his hat's position and glared at Dio with his piercing eyes. "Who said I am alone? My Discord membres are behind me!"

As if on a cue a fireball crashed beside the two men. A young man walked out from the smoke and dust, his body engulfed in fire. He was Natsu Dragneel! "Konoyaro, You dare destroy my Discord? My family?!"

Jotaro said calmly, "He can stop time, Here I will lend you my power.". Natsu's face lit up, "Aye, For Discord." Dio laughed harder, "Muda Muda, you can't beat time itself!".

Natsu growled, "Watch me!". Jotaro's Hamon energy engulfed him as he ate it. A stand appeared behind him as Jojo retreated. The stand was a humanoid Dragon with red and gold scales, "Hamon fire Dragon's Secret art: Star platinum mode, Time slayer!"

Dio sensed the energies and he panicked, "Bakana! Za Warudo!". Time came to a standstill, Dio smirked evilly. "Even if you are strong, you are nothing before me.". He slowly walked in front of Natsu and prepared to punch the sh*t out of him. '1 second'

He saw Natsu's hand twitch just as he wanted to punch, he retreated with shock plastered on his face, 'He moved?! Nani?! Are all discord members this tough?! I better check out Pat'reon later too...'
