Not that our garden is that big, but there is room to dry laundry and plant some flowers and vegetables.

Once upon a time, the flower beds made by my mother are on the edge of the garden, beside which are also planted home-grown vegetables, aubergines and cumbers.

Maple waters every day and grows fine without one withering, but I have no idea what flower it is.

When I open the window and change to sandals for the garden, I sit back on the wooden bench my father made me when we were little and I look at the flowers one by one from the left.

To see many water droplets still on top of the leaves, I guess Maple gave them water before they woke me up this morning.

"... I grew up with my mother when I was little too"

Speaking of which, I used to grow flowers with my mother, too.

I feel like Maple was still young enough for me to enroll in elementary school, but I woke up early every morning to see if it was budding.

Remembering nostalgic memories, I heard a noise of gasp coming from the house next door.

"... Na ~"

"... what are you"

The lord of its sound was Muku, the white cat kept in the house next door.

For cats, bright white fur on short tails.

He has half-opened eyes that seem less motivated than any other cat, and the ringing is a popular cat from kids passing nearby because of its uniqueness.

This guy comes to our house every once in a while and goes home in the sun on the lawn in the garden.

But today when I jump on my sitting bench, not on the lawn, I roll my body round to sleep on the side.

"You don't always seem motivated."

"... Na ~"

"Nah, it's not."

I finished watching the flowers as I stroked Muku's body, which came next door, and I decided to relax with this guy for a while and watch it even in the sky.

Muku has been coming to my house since he was still a kitten, so he's meditating his eyes to feel good about me and Maple in a way he's not at all alert.

I usually put it on my lap, but I have business going out after this today, so I stopped it because it will have cat hair on it.

Unsurprisingly, this time of year, my hair falls out and the rest gets tough.

As Muku and I relax in the bench, a small running footstep approaches from inside the house and a maple with a laundry cage comes out into the garden.

"Oh, Muk was here, too, wasn't he?"

Maple, dressed in a different color pink sandal than the blue sandal I'm wearing, strokes his head as he leans closer to the indulgent muk next to me.

Muk glances at the chilling maple and closes his eyes again and returns to the system of sleep.

"You're adorable"

Maple quickly dries the laundry in the cage as he zeros Nico and his grin on the reaction.

When I see them drying school jerseys in their two clothes, bedtime clothes in towels, etc. one by one in a given place with a hand I'm used to, and my sister's daughter-in-law skills impress me with perfection, my neighbor Muk unexpectedly wakes up.

"What's up? You're leaving already?

"... Na ~"

It's like Muku, who replied with a squeal if you know what my question means, approached the maple foot drying the laundry a little further, rubbing his body short and he goes home to himself.

"Are you leaving already, please come back"

Maple, saying so a little lonely, Muku replies with a strange chirp, "Na ~" without turning around.

... but whenever I look at it, that cat is somewhere different.

I hear cats feel free, but no cat would be as free as he is.

Maple, who soon finished his laundry after Muk left, returns to his room to get himself ready.

I also went back inside the house and felt the smartphone in my pocket vibrate a few times as I waited appropriately until I was ready for the maple.

"Who?

When I took the smartphone out of my pocket and checked the screen contents, I had received an email from the chairman.

"We meet Monday at 8: 00 a.m. in the Student Council Room. Conduct greeting exercises and luggage inspections'

To a short, well-documented e-mail, I reply shorter 'OK'.

Until last year, I don't think we did any luggage inspections, but did we start fresh this year?

Luggage inspection in the first place would be a teacher's job, not a student council...

How about if the student council does too much work and the teachers, on the other hand, make it too easy?

I'll tell the chairman when I get to school on Monday.

"I think we should get the teachers to work more," he said.

"Ready!

While I was thinking about that, Maple came to the living room looking ready.

I was relieved to see that the maple face was not dramatically before-after with makeup.

Today's maple is wearing a black piece and looks younger than usual.

"Then go..."

"Yes!"

Almost no luggage, but we checked to see if we forgot anything, and then we left for the shopping mall in the next town.
