When I defeated some wolves in the forest, the cockatrice suddenly appeared.

According the the judgement eye skill, the enemy monster’s rank is B!

When I confirmed the status, all the values were abnormally high.

The monsters I’ve encountered up to now seem only like small fry when comparing to the cockatrice.

“Guggyaaaaaaaaaaa!”

The cockatrice opened its jaw widely and gave a loud roar.

Then, in the next moment.

It spat out a red hot breath from its mouth.

“…..shit.”

I sensed danger, and immediately returned Carolina and Aphrodite to the ball and evade the attack of the opponent.

“Fugiyaaaa!? What are you doing!?”

“Kurae-! A single blow will ensure your death!”

If I use the ball, no matter how the status of the opponent is, it is irrelevant.

I hurl a ball at the cockatrice aiming to turn things around with a single shot.

But yet.

The Cockatrice used its large wing in order to repel the capsule ball which I through.

Turning my back on this monster would be the opposite of escaping, rather it’s an action that would be throwing my life away.

The cockatrice and I continued our staring match.

The cockatrice averted its eyes first.

The cockatrice suddenly dove to the ground, and flew away with the living wolf in its mouth.

Meanwhile, in only 2 seconds it was finished quickly. (Ru: Ugh.)

“…..I, I was saved.”

It seems that somehow, the cockatrices aim from the beginning was the wolf which I had defeated.

But, this is troubling.

I cannot save Sheryl without defeating that monster, but unfortunately, the difference in battle potential is just too great.

Is there no way to shoot an arrow back at that guy……?

I stared at the figure of the dragon bird which disappeared into the clouds while preparing a method of subjugation in my head.
