Our Bonds

With our sorties put on hold due to the lack of resources, the entire district is bustling. After completing their routine tasks, everyone is allowed to do whatever they want. Of course, one fleet is assigned to patrol the nearby waters and repel any Abyssal or Siren attacks. Even so, we have a lot of time to spare. Though, we have a little problem on our hands.

"Ughh... Ice~" (Suzuya)

"Here." (Rei)

Rei placed a ice pack on Suzuya's forehead.

"Rei-san, I need one here too."

The Mogami sister, for some reason, decided to hold a drinking party between themselves last night. Right now, they are suffering from a hangover and overheating. The overheating part is probably a way for their body to detoxify itself. So, Rei and I are trying to help them cool down before the entire infirmary catches fire. It's hotter than a sauna in here! We have to change their ice packs every few minutes because of how fast it melts.

"Sorry... Admiral..." (Mogami)

"Really. What did the four of you drink last night?"

"I... can't remember..." (Mogami)

"Haah... I'm going to check your room once you get better. So hurry up and cool down."

"Admiral! We brought more ice!" (Mamiya)

Mamiya and Ooyodo came in with two buckets of ice. Just in time too. Mikuma's ice packs has just melted. I quickly made a new one and placed it on her forehead and neck.

"Admiral, let us take over from here." (Ooyodo)

"That's right. You still have a lot of work to be done." (Mamiya)

Avrora was seated at the secretary seat with Grozny on her lap while Zuihou sat at my chair. She was wearing one of my uniforms and spare hat. They seems to be so focused on what they were doing that they didn't even see me walk in. Only when I got right in front of them...

"Ah. товари- Ado...miralu-san" (Grozny)

Grozny tried to speak to her best ability. When did they learn to speak Japanese? Has Fubuki been teaching them? That's impressive.

"Good... da to you, Adomiral." (Avrora)

"Good day to you."

It felt weird saying that. How can Mikuma do this?

"Pfft!" (Zuihou)

Zuihou was trying not to laugh.

"Ahem. What are you doing? Where's Fubuki?"

"I'm teaching them a few words." (Zuihou)

"Fubuki-san, is on патруль <Patrol>." (Avrora)

That sounds like the english version of patrol. Oh right. Fubuki is on duty today.

"What about the others?"

I'm not sure if they understood me. I tried to speak as slow as possible. They just gave me with a confused look.

So the others are playing in the entertainment room.

I don't what she said, but seeing as they were leaving, I can assume that has got to do with going somewhere.

Grozny waved as she walked out.

Now that we are alone...

"So, what are you thinking about doing with my uniform?"

That uniform doesn't seem like it was fresh out of the laundry. There are some creases on it.

"Whatever. Hand it over. I want change out of this set."

Because the infirmary turned into a sauna, I'm all sweaty from helping out. Not like I can compare to the three who are still there.

"No. I was just about to wash this. Ah!" (Zuihou)

Zuihou covered her face with my sleeves. Even though I can't see her expression now, I can still see her ears turning red. So this the uniform I wore yesterday.

"Sometimes, I really don't know who is the pervert here."

"Shut up! I'm not a pervert!" (Zuihou)

"Yeah yeah."

"Muuu~ By the way, why you so sweaty?" (Zuihou)

"Oh, this? The Mogami sister got overheated. So I just helping Rei-san cool them off before the burn the whole place down."

"Are they okay? Overheated? How? (Zuihou)

"They should be fine. Ooyodo and Mamiya are with them now. Not sure how they got overheated. Probably drank something weird last night."

"I see. I hope they get better. So. Nothing happened between Admiral and Rei, right?" (Zuihou)

She always gets suspicious whenever Rei and I are alone. I can't blame her for that. Even I'm on guard when I'm with Rei. I can't figure out that girl. She can be playful and seductive for moment and serious the next.

"Anyway, I want to take a shower first."

"Okay. I'll wait here." (Zuihou)

"Don't peek."

"I won't! Why are the roles reversed?"

I went into my bathroom and toss my sweat-covered uniform into the laundry bin before going into the shower. Hmm... I should give those three some reward for helping to deal with this problem. Maybe a day off or something. Well, Ooyodo need one, that's for sure. Once the four of them are feeling better, I'll have them explain to me about the whole thing.
