Outcast Hunter

It's been a long time since Leo last hit the dungeon. Underworld's mission was so different than what he usually do.

It was noon when Chairman Daniel's men arrived at Leo's house. They were there to deliver the others license, for them to be allowed to go hunting.

Leo had a serious talk with them. He wanted to know more about each one of them. He first had a talk with the twins.

When they came to it, they were already inside the cave. The twins don't know who left them there. They grew up inside the cave, feeding on livestock. They never tried to leave the cave and live somewhere else, with humans nor think of doing it..

They said that they were having doubt at first, when Leo entered the cave. But, for some reasons, they felt that they have to and will follow that man.

They also said that, they were really happy, when Leo agreed to take them with him.

The next was the three. Ruhan has three races running on her blood. Dragon race from her father, and her mother that is a demi-human. They opened up to him, after a few convincing words.

Drago's a pure dragon race. He's still not at that age where he can transform, but he will soon be. Because, his birthday is nearing. He's the son of the Dragon Village's Chief and his mother was a noble. She already passed away, she has an incurable disease that only dragon race have.

Zest, a half-dragon and half-human. He's a noble too. They are the top three warrior of their village. The reason why they only have one horn left is, it's because, they offered it and made an oath to bring prosperity to their lands and have them meet the next Lord in line.

Next was the vampire siblings. They were born in a poor, chaotic, environment. Where, everyone was forced to do crimes, stealing food and other things that can be swapped for food. It was hell for them. They said that they were able to leaved that place, thanks to a help of a man they don't know.

Last was Khione. She came from the family of assassins. Assassination was passed down to them, generations by generations. She grew not knowing anyone outside of their residence. She despise it, being an assassin. She couldn't do what she wanted, she couldn't even get to attend a school for her studies. She was taught inside their house. She's also freed by someone she don't know. She said, she couldn't even thanked the man who let her escape. He just disappeared when she was gonna thank him.

That sums all of it.

Leo took the three with him. They had rock, paper and scissors on who will be the group to accompany Leo.

'I really can't see my status anymore'

He tried to open it, again and again, but it was to no avail. All he could hear was a static sound coming from it, every time he tries to open the system.

'Sighed... I'm glad that the inventory is still here. I could even appraise my items'

It's been some days when Leo received the translucent set. He has no idea what kind of item it consists.

It was opened. Different items were given to him.

[Translucent Armor of the Underworld]

[This item was given as a reward for completing all Underworld's level.]

[Attributes: Plus 1000 HP and 50 toughness. Damage taken will be reduce to half.]

[This armor can be equip even if there's another wore armor. This translucent armor will envelope another armor and will act as the first layer before the original armor.]

'Th-this is good. I can wear this even if I'm wearing another armor. So, does the remaining items does like this armor?'

[Translucent Ring of the Underworld]

[Attributes: Plus 50 dexterity and 200 MP]

[Translucent Robe of the Underworld]

[Attributes: 100 Toughness. Resistance to fire and wind skill have been increased.]

'Even though I'm wearing all these equipments, I am still feeling really light, it's like I'm just wearing my clothes!'

[Translucent Boots and Gloves of the Underworld]

[Attributes: Fire, Earth, Water and Fire magic's resistance have increased. Agility have also increased by 20]

'What's the point of those additional increase on my stats'

He was wearing his armor under his clothes. It feels like he was wearing another cloth under his clothes, though it feels hot.

They were at the site, where the gate had appeared. It was larger than any usual gate. Leo had witnessed this three's power and he know that a low-level dungeon would not suit to their strength.

He registered in an A rank dungeon. It has the highest magical rate among the other that had spawned.

"Ugh! I hate this! Why do we have to wear this cloth? I'm just feeling hot, wearing this!"

Ruhan took of her hood and her horn were exposed to the other hunters, present at the site.

"S-she has a horn! Is she not human!?"

The were spooked when they saw her horn, sticking from her forehead. They suspected much that the other two has also horn.

"Wh-what are you guys!? You're not humans!"

'This is why I didn't want to bring them along'

They were pointing their weapons to the three. Their hands were trembling, it was because of Drago, he was letting them feel his aura and killing intent.

"Hii! D-don't come any closer!"

Leo went over to correct the misunderstanding and calmed them down.

"Easy! They're not enemies. I'm the one who registered to this raid. They are my comrades"

One of the other hunters were wondering where and when have she saw them. They looked familiar, because, she was watching the live feed of Leo's fight.

'Is it them? They do look like them. If so, then they really are not our enemies'

"Wait, Kurt. Aren't they familiar to you?"

She didn't pointed it out. She wants to remember it himself.

"Of course! They are monsters! I know fully well!"

He's the leader of this raid. The responsibility will fall on him, if something happens to his comrades.

"No, no, no" she leaned closer to him and whispered, explaining things to him.

"R-really!?" He checked them, racked his brain and remembered. "It's really them!"

He called out the other hunters and had a talk, excluding Leo and the three.

"What should we do!? Even if they aren't enemies, they're pretty monsters themselves! I saw their fight!"

"True, true, they're crazy! Four S ranker died, fighting those demons, but when they came out of nowhere, they swept the floor with them!"

"L-let's have them lead this raid. After all, this raid is not what we signed for, but this was given to us"

"I-I see your point. Let's do that"

They were done with their secret conversation.

"Sorry for the wait. We decided that you guys can lead this raid, we'll do the other work for you guys. Is that okay?"

'Are they chickening out?'

The three were happy to hear that. They don't like the idea of following someone, other than Leo.

"Sure. Then you guys will do the collecting and we'll do all the fighting"

Both side agreed and were happy that it turns out like this.

They entered the dungeon, Leo leading the way in. The others put on a gap between Leo's group and their group.

"W-we're lucky and unlucky at the same time! We can't do our usual job, if it's those monsters!"

They were muttering to each others, not knowing that Leo could hear them.

'I missed the dungeon'

His keen senses were hurting him. He can smell things even if they're pretty far, he could also hear them. Leo'a body was reacting to every movements he sensed.

'One, two, three, there's ten of them'

"Drago, you want to take care of them, right?"

"Of course! My body's vacant for four days, it's been aching ever since!"

Drago rushed in first. What he came across was vampires. They are known for being immortal. The only way to kill them is by decapitation.

"Intruder! He's mine!"

Drago was cracking his bones and was doing some stretching.

He grinned.

"You're brave! As a reward, I'll do it painless!"

Drago don't use any weapons. His hands all he needs for fighting.

He waited for the vampire to reached him.

"Rahhh!"

The vampire swung its sword down. Drago caught it with his hand and crushed the sword using his grip's strength.

The vampire let go of the sword and swung his fist instead. Drago, he deliberately let the vampire hit his face.

"Hehe! That stings! Okay, I've paid the fee for your lives!"

He raised his hand and swung it to the vampire's neck. He cut it clean, it was still on top of his body.

"Eh? Why is my vision slanted?"

His head slowly fall off to the ground as the vampire moved his body.

"What did you to him!? You'll pay for it!"

The other vampires also rushed forward, holding their weapons.

"Oi, oi, didn't you hear me? I've already paid your lives"

Leo and the others just caught up to Drago. They stood there, watching Drago take care of them alone.

"Die!"

"Will you guys die if I turn you into smithereens!?"

'Dragon Fist, first form, Destructive Punch!'

He jumped into the air. He was clenching his fist when it glows, like a light and with that, he punched down into the air.

It made the ground to shake and his punch was like gravity, pinning the vampires on the ground.

He made consecutive punches. He didn't stopped until there was nothing left of the vampires.

"H-how cruel"

"I think I'm gonna throw up. Bleurgh!"

He landed on his feet and looked closely at what's left of the vampires.

"Geh, you guys really died!? Tch, what a bore"

They moved on and encountered another bunch of vampires.

"H-humans! Human intruders!"

"Do you want to have a go too, Zest?"

After Drago, Leo asked Zest if he's up for it. He nodded as he fix his glasses.

"I'll finish them"

He's carrying around a rapier. He uses sword unlike Ruhan and Drago who both uses their hands for fighting.

"Thousand Piercing Rapier, first style, Rapid Strikes'

Zest didn't bother moving from where he's standing, instead, he thrust his rapier. The small fries couldn't saw his attacks, but he was really moving his hands. The tip of his rapier, it was like, a small bomb that would detonate if it touches you.

Their neck had been blown off, making their heads fell on the ground.

"Gulp, I don't want to make enemies of them"

"Surely you won't. They are all monsters, especially, that guy, the one who's telling them when to move. I can sensed something ominous inside him"

'I could hear you all. Sighed, I'll be the next one going, if we ever stumble across some enemies. I feel like, Ruhan, she will get angry, if I order her around'

They continued walking down the path to the Boss's room.

Fortunately, they arrived at the Boss' room after the last group of vampires.

"Hmm, what a strong smell! I'd do anything to have a taste of that blood"

[Boss: Dracula Vampiro]

Bats were flying everywhere inside the Boss' room. There's quite a number of them.

The bats tranform and turned into vampires. Surrounded by a large number of vampires, Dracula, he hold them off first.

"You bloodseeker vampires, go rampant! I'll take care of the boss himself and drink his blood, out of him!"

Both sides, they clashed together. Swords to swords and fist to fist.

"I'd like to see you try"

'I can finally test this sword'

He took his sword out of his inventory.

"Duck!"

He shouted. He releases the skill and his company ducked in upon hearing his word.

[You've used the sword's skill]

He swung his sword and releases the souls stored inside. A white, wide slash that cut off the vampires' head. Their heads fall off one by one onto the ground. In a blink of an eye, it was all the Boss alone, that was left alive.

"Th-that's close! Oi, you nearly cut our heads off!"

Kurt ranted about not telling it firsthand.

"Glare"

Kurt felt chills all over his body.

"Hiie!"

Dracula was clapping his hands at the sight of his fellow vampire's cold body.

"Truly magnificent! My Lord isn't wrong, after all!"

Dracula, he looked like he was praying to something, his eyes were closed and his palm together.

"I'm offering this fight to you, my Lord! Yes, yes, my Lord, I'll gladly send the message to him"

'Hmm, I didn't know, vampire's religious'

Dracula was done. He was staring at Leo and spoke.

"I'm no match for you, but, I'll savor our fight and carve it deep inside my mind, so that I won't ever forget about it even if I'm dead. Also, my Lord, he wants me to deliver this message. 'I'll be waiting for your arrival, our Death', that'a what he said"

Leo smiled. He's doing some stretching and when he's done, he flung towards Dracula.

"He'll meet you soon in the afterlife!"

He's boosted his movements and he began swinging his sword around. He's done some researc on how to properly hold and use a sword.

Dracula's on par with Leo's sword skill. He was able to fend Leo's attacks off.

'Cloak'

"That's useless! Your blood have a strong smell ! Sniff, sniff"

They watched the fight, like it was a fireworks display. Their swords that clashes every time they slash and swing it, it's making fireworks like explosion. They could feel the tension in the air going strong.

"Truly magnificent!"

'This guy has a few screw loose'

Kurt and his company were dumbfounded as they witnessed how two strong creature fight in front of them.

Leo's agility kept increasing as the fight prolongs. Dracula's becoming unable to keep up with Leo's speed. He was getting slashed all over his body, but it would just get healed.

"More, more! Give me more! Haaaa!!!"

'Bloodthirsty, Blood Incurred Sword!'

Dracula's sword glows red. Crimson red coated his sword, changing its appearance. Dracula was now using both of his hands to lift and swing it to Leo.

'Hotfoot!'

[Agility has been increased]

He became faster even more than before. Leo would swing his sword, but he wasn't aiming for Dracula, but his sword. He wants to destroy the sword by repetitively hitting the same part.

"What's wrong!? Can't you do more!?"

'Ugh... he's loud'

"Yeah, this will be all I've got"

He leaped back and thrust forward.

"Hehe! I've got you now!"

'Crimson Slash!'

Leo was near and Dracula had made his attack. He swung it like a cross and closed his eyes for a second.

"It's done"

[You've used your item's skill, misty step. Teleporting to the decided location]

He vanished right after his chest was grazed. He appeared above him and struck Dracula in half.

He split him open and cut off his head.

"Ooppss! Can't have you regenerating"

He cleaned his sword off of the blood and spoke again.

"That's how you make a cross"
