Outcast Hunter

Grim and Leo's fight had ended with Grim winning the battle. He woke up lying on his bed. He could still feel the pain from their battle. Grim gave him a powerful blow in his chest. It was so fast, nevertheless, he still manage to land his final blow. He felt his fist landed in Grim's solar plexus, though it wasn't as powerful as Grim's.

Leo's chest was aching. He get up, only to find that no one was around. He went out of his room and look for everyone. Alexander and the others had already went back to the kingdom of Fallonia. It was just Jayce, Grim, Aophy and Devi. All of them had a serious look on their face. It throws Leo into confusion. He immediately ask what's wrong..

They all turned to him. "Leo, you're awake. I hate to break it to you but, your brother's in real danger." What Grim said just added to Leo's confusion.

"What do you mean?" His brows arched up.

"I mean what I said. That's why, we shouldn't stand idly here. We should get on with the matter."

Grim took out his scythe. He looked Leo straight into his eyes. "I'll explain what you will do. I hope you're not late." He gave the scythe to Leo which the latter confusedly reached. "You're about to kill me, and I'm about to pass Death's power onto you."

He have watched it once, online. Where this two brothers tricked Death and the two managed to kill Death using his scythe on him. And then their angel friend killed a grim reaper which later turned into the new Death. Death was the answer on becoming Death.

"Molazar is about to take over your little brother's body and make it his own. Don't waste time and kill me with the scythe. After that, I and Jayce here will disappear. Also, we prepared the items you will need after leaving here."

The three others moved aside. Leaving Leo and Grim at the center of the living room. Grim showed no fear nor regret. He has been prepared of this, the very first day he received the power of Death from the previous holder. He stood there silently. Their eyes met.

When Leo felt that Grim's decision was final, he held tighter onto the scythe. 'I need to do this. It's for Tom and the others' sake.' He thought to himself.

"I'm ready." He said. Both were full of convictions.

Grim lightly nodded, "I'm all yours." He formed a smile in his face. Leo had readied himself. All he needs to do was swing the scythe and finally kill Grim.

Leo decided to aim for Grim's body. He does not want to behead him. And when he made up his mind, he swung the scythe towards Grim's body. He didn't hesitate to do so. He put what power he have with him. He had his eyes closed. He let his senses and his imagination run wild. Leo felt the scythe connected to Grim. The latter let out a rough groaned. "Leo..." Grim called out his name. He opened his eyes.

The first thing Leo saw was the pained look in Grim's face. Then he saw the scythe had pierced the latter's body. Grim's body was like a fragments of a glowing crystal, slowly fading. Still, his face was smiling. He endured the pain and will endure the pain to the very end.

"Molazar would be hard to fight." There was this pain in his voice. It didn't escape Leo's sharp senses. "You will take my Grace and save your brother." For Leo, it looks like Grim still have something to say.

"I promise I will kill him. I hope Tom is still fine." He was restless and worried that something bad might have happened to his little brother. He would not be able to afford losing another member of his family.

"Farewell, my brother. Protect our brother."

That was Grim's last words as he completely vanished from the Dark Palace, from the whole world. It was too late before Leo could ask what Grim meant by what he said. He tried to reach out for him but it was futile. Grim's existence was erased forever.
