Overlord: Start from the Goblin Lair

Chapter 494: Massacre before reaction

The battle lasted a little shorter than Victor expected.

Half an hour? A quarter of an hour? Or five minutes? Victor Fromm was not sure. He only knew that after he had used up all his few spells, he could no longer stop the enemy's advance with just a few tricks. His bloated body did not allow him to engage in guerrilla warfare or entanglement. An orc over two meters tall easily lifted him up in the air, raised his knees, and was about to smash him hard on his knees.

"Don't break your back! Don't break your back!"

Victor was a little confused. At this moment, his brain was blank, and he could only pick up the first word he could think of and spit it out from his mouth. However, to his surprise, the opponent actually stopped moving, and even swayed and leaned forward, putting him on the ground with a force that was not gentle.

"Mayor!" Several nearby guards were horrified and tried to get rid of the countless enemies around them and rush to Victor, but how could they be opponents of these tribesmen from the north? With a panic in their hearts, the already precarious defense was torn open, and a dwarf with a beard that could drag on the ground roared heavily and rushed up waving a chain hammer.

It's all over now. At the end of their lives, this is the only ending they can think of.

"Stone Shaping!"

Accompanied by a woman's low chant, the hammer head of the chain hammer that could break a bear's ribs slammed into a large stone wall and was deeply stuck in it and could not be pulled out. The dwarf was shocked and tried to pull his weapon out of it, but found that the iron nail on the hammer head, which he was originally proud of, had become a burden instead. It was embedded in the stone wall. No matter how hard he tried, he couldn't pull it out from the other end of the chain.

"Do you need help?"

A sharp voice sounded in the dwarf's ear with a sarcastic tone. He turned around the heavy horned helmet and saw a creature that was almost as tall as him, but much thinner. The dwarf only had time to see the green face exposed to the cold air, and a short blade enchanted with strong acid had already cut his throat in an instant.

The blood stains corroded by the strong acid fell on the dwarf's chain mail and the snow in front of him. He tried to fight back again, but another short sword had already pierced his face from the front. Behind the horned helmet, a small piece of corrosion was faintly visible.

"Hehe, that's all. I thought he was so strong," Driver laughed and kicked the dwarf's cold body away, waving a dagger and rushing into the crowd, "Come here, dwarves! Come and play with me!"

Countless sharp blades and blunt weapons immediately greeted the goblin ranger amid the roar of the dwarves, but Driver only dodged the latter, allowing those scimitars and long swords to chop off the leather armor of his cloak. Under the armor, only white spots were left on his rock-hard skin.

"Hiss, it doesn't hurt! It doesn't hurt! Hahahaha!"

Following Ron's crawling in the delusion land, the people he saw and fought were either fearless of death or thick-skinned. Driver's culture of bullying the weak was suppressed by him here, but now it's different-these guys here are too weak compared to him!

Now it's finally his turn to bully people!

"Driverdo, you can't..." Victoria frowned and looked at the goblin who disappeared in the crowd of soldiers. She wanted to call him back, but she saw a hand raised beside him and shook it gently.

"Let him go. Even if he gets too proud, he can be resurrected, right?" Ron and Ivy helped Victor up from the ground, letting him lean against the stone wall shaped by Victoria to catch his breath.

Victor stared at Ron with a pair of slightly out-of-focus eyes, then looked at Ivy, and murmured in his throat: "Am I... dreaming?"

"These barbarians may not be willing to give you such a dream, Mr. Mayor." Victor looked in the direction of the voice, and a red-skinned tiefling holding a wooden stick in his hand came out from behind the orc who just lifted him up. It was not until Quest walked in front of Victor that the tall and mighty orc's body fell stiffly to the ground, and the back of his head facing the sky was a bloody mess.

"You are, Quest!" Victor's voice trembled, "And you! Ron, Ivy! And Victoria!"

"It's amazing that you still remember us," Quest still had that playful and unremarkable look, "Excuse me, you guys are really not suitable for this kind of fight. We wanted to take advantage of you to buy some time so that we could behead those giants."

"But you are so good, you almost had your back broken in less than three minutes."

"I..." Victor seemed to want to defend himself, but in the end, the words turned into a sigh, " It's good that you're here, it's good that you're here. Take everyone away quickly, we don't want this town anymore."

"Ron, I have nothing to repay you. When we can escape, I will definitely propose to the City-State Alliance to give you my seat!"

"Don't make promises at this time," Ron chuckled and patted Victor's shoulder, "I'm not here to lead people to escape."

"Please sit down, we'll be back soon!"

After that, Ron stood up suddenly, facing the vast coalition of the three tribes, raised his left hand, and pressed his palm downward: "Ring of Resistance!"

An orange-yellow ring-shaped shadow swept in all directions with Ron as the center. It was not solid when it touched the buildings and companions. It would only become solid when it touched the northern looters, sticking to their flesh and even souls, and pushing them out to the distance!

"Explode!"

Indistinctly, a huge crossbow shadow shot an equally illusory arrow from behind Ron, causing a violent explosion when it landed on the ring of resistance. In an instant, the snow flew and turned into ice rain mixed with flesh and blood and fell on the ground again. Until this moment, the looters who had already died could convey their desperate wails before death to everyone's ears!

It took only two words from Ron, and within ten meters of him, there was no living enemy!

The surroundings fell into a brief and strange silence.

"Retreat! Retreat!" Ten meters away, the leaders of the orcs, dwarves and humans roared miserably. They didn't realize what was happening until now. They were not afraid of death, but they were terrified by being killed meaninglessly!

This was simply a massacre! They didn't even want to fight back. They were sure that at least half of the dead didn't even know what happened!

Who was that young human? ! There was definitely no such name in Yungang, Gobi Desert and Fromm Town!
