"What are you reading, Sai?" Kyouko asks Sai, after she put down the coffee mug that has Cappuccino on it.

"Structure of the Soul. I need to know everything about the soul in order execute this operation smoothly." Sai answers Kyouko's question while reading.

"Can I borrow some books from you later?" (Kyouko)

"Yes. Still, the operation will be quite troublesome." (Sai)

"Why is that?" (Kyouko)

"The structure of the soul is quite complicated, you see. Considering what I will do, I will need to use my brain hard this time. I will modify a soul, then I will create a soul and modify it at the same time. Thankfully, I got Memory Partition and Thought Acceleration at EX rank. I can increase my processing abilities with these two." (Sai)

"Unfortunately, I have no knowledge with regards to that or else I would have helped you. Oh, I'm done processing their bodies and I inserted the God Cores inside them. The God Cores fused inside them perfectly, although changes are not present." (Kyouko)

"Thank you. The changes will appear sooner or later, don't worry about it. I already know what is needed. I'm going now." (Sai)

Forsaken Land

Sai is now examining Miu's soul with his Eyes of Clarity.

"Okay, let's do this." (Sai)

He didn't create fake memories nor fake emotions, since those are easily shattered. What Sai did is to overwrite her subconscious mind. He overwrites her beliefs, wishes, d.e.s.i.r.es, and others in his favor, then he erased what he didn't need. Then her instincts, he edited it for her to trust him without doubts and he did some changes to it. One is her habit of throwing people who approaches her back, he edited it so that she will throw others except for him.

As for the emotions left inside her, all the negative ones were converted into hostility and enmity for people who threaten or wishes to end Sai's life. And all the positive ones were converted into love for Sai and affection to people close to him.

Then, he modified her body's DNA with his DNA. He did this as insurance of sorts. With this, Miu and Sai are related biologically.

And he is done modifying Miu's soul and body. Using Falsehoods to Truth, the changes were irreversible and permanent, not only that, even the laws of the world determined that this is the Truth. This is the real reason why Sai's Trickster Skill is a Forbidden Skill. To even affect the laws of the world in a certain extent is enough threat if used the dangerous way. Thankfully, Sai's only interest use for this skill is for this stuff and scamming.

(But now that I made her my blood relative, does that mean she is my sister or daughter of sorts?) (Sai)

"Oh, so you are awake. Good morning." Sai greeted Miu who underwent rebirth with a smile.

Miu's PoV

(Where am I? Everything is dark. I can't feel anything but coldness. I'm scared. Is there nobody here?) (Miu)

She spent time in the darkness for a long time. She struggled, struggled, and struggled. When she felt the strange warmth in the darkness, she didn't hesitate to grab it. When she grabbed it, she felt that she is about to wake up from this nightmare.

She opened her eyes and there is a person.

(So beautiful….) This is Miu's first thought when she woke up.

A person wearing a school uniform of a school she doesn't know. That person's long black hair is dazzling than the night sky. Their sky-blue eyes that is devoid of impurity and their gaze that makes someone feel that everything about them is exposed.

She can't help but gasp at this sight. And that person opened their mouth and speaks to her.

"Oh, so you are awake. Good morning."

A soft voice that brings tranquility and it erased her nervousness instantly. The smile in their face is enough to make her glad for no reason.

"G-good morning." She thought that it would be rude to not return a polite greeting but she stuttered.

That person didn't change their warm smile that wared her heart. Instead, they reached out their arms to her and brought her face to their c.h.e.s.t. That person's fragrance smells much more fragrant than any flower she knows. She didn't know why that person hugged her out of nowhere but she didn't feel any disp.l.e.a.s.u.r.e, she only felt sense of security and kinship.

"It's okay. Although, I don't know anything about you, I realized it the moment I saw you. It's fine, cry to your heart's content. It's only you and me here and no one else."

That person said things she didn't get and remained on hugging her while c.a.r.e.s.sing her hair. And before she knew it, warm tears are flowing from her eyes. As time goes on, she is crying like a newborn child. Her arms are encircled to that person's upper body and her tears made that person's clothes. That person didn't complain nor said anything, they just kept on c.a.r.e.s.sing her hair and hugging her.

"Have you finished crying?" That person asks her kindly.

She can only answer with a nod.

"Please show me your face." That person asks her to show her face and she complied without any questions.

That person took a handkerchief from their right pocket and wipes her face.

"You have such a beautiful face, it's a shame to leave it covered in tears." She can only blush from the sudden compliment. And her heart beats faster when that person wiped her tears.

"I'm Sai Kaiku and you are?" that person, Sai Kaiku introduced themselves and asks for her name.

"I'm Miu Furiniji, it is a p.l.e.a.s.u.r.e to meet you." She said her name with formality.

"There's no need to be formal. Please talk to me in a way you find comfortable. Umu, please close your eyes." (Sai)

"It's okay to open them now." (Sai)

The previous pitch-black earth and grey skies have changed into a ghost town.

"Allow me to tell you what you need to know." (Sai)

And Sai-san narrated to me everything he experienced. From the massacre he did at the beginning up until now. I didn't feel anything when he mentioned he killed a lot of people, since this is where people kill you or you will kill them. But I feel happy when he narrated on how did he found me. He showed me kindness even I was his enemy and he even risked his life to save me. He nursed me until I woke up.

Although I was shock that he is a man. Such a beautiful person is actually a man, I didn't believe it at first.

We stop at the gate of the town. And Sai-san speaks to me.

"Miu-san, I only have two offers for you." My heart tightened with his words.

(Will he chase me away?) (Miu)

"First, I can let you stay with me until we find your home. Don't worry, I will take care of you until then." (Sai)

"Second, you will pledge your allegiance and loyalty to me. I have witnessed your strength and I admit that I need your abilities. But, please know that this is a path of no return. And it will not be as ideal as you think. I already told you, the moment I arrived here I killed 10,000 people, who knows how many it will be in the future. Please consider your decision carefully." (Sai)

Sai-san said what he really thinks without hesitation. I knew that this is not some game but the survival of the fittest. But more than that, I feel happy when he said that he needs me.

Miu assumed the stance of a knight swearing their allegiance. She kneeled with her left knee. And she said:

"I, Miu Furiniji, swears my eternal allegiance and unwavering loyalty to my lord, Sai Kaiku." She said it without hesitation. She is not forced nor she is coerced. She really d.e.s.i.r.es to serve him and follow him; this is her genuine feelings.

When she looked at him, she saw his hand outstretched to her. She holds his hand and Sai pulled her up to help her to stand. And he said to her:

"I'll be on your care from now on, Miu." (Sai)

When she heard his words, nothing but happiness filled her heart. She decided that she will work hard to meet his expectations.
