The words 'train you to my heart's content', gives Sai the chills. Knowing that her training will be beyond Sparta, Sai begun devised plans to deal with the impending danger approaching him.

"Please wait. I'm the one who killed you earlier. Shouldn't you be holding a grudge to me or something? Plus, I'm not a brave warrior that you would like to train. To begin with, I'm a researcher and not a warrior, I'm someone who would run away with research data if needed. Therefore, I'm unfit to combat." (Sai)

"Grudge? Why would I hold a grudge against you? You have given me a remarkable fight and killed me, and you also erased the threat that the Land of Shadows posed. The only dissatisfaction I had, is that you are not my disciple. As for your other inquiry, there is no cowardly man that will dare to declare that he would kill me with a single strike. Excuses are futile, I will hone you into an excellent warrior, whether you want it or not." (Scáthach)

(This is bad. She can see through my plans. Should I escape with Vimana? Even if she is Scáthach, there's no way she can catch up to the speed of Vimana. And if things go south, I have 42 Command Seals--) (Sai)

Suddenly, Sai felt someone gripped his right hand.

"Eh?" (Sai)

"Since I have made things clear with you, let's start your training. I'll have you call me Mentor, got it?" (Scáthach)

Sayo, Rinko, and Saaya's Side

Currently, the three girls are hunting monsters en masse. Well, this is the case for all groups. Since they are monsters, there's nothing much to gain if they engage monsters one-by-one.

Sai knew this, that's why encourage the girls to use these poor monsters to practice their teamwork.

"Yamabuki-san, please withdraw your golems. Shirokane-san, please increase the intensity of your flames." (Sayo)

"Okay." (Saaya)

"Yes!" (Rinko)

Sayo and Rinko controlled their spells and made it converge with each other.

""Flame Cyclone!"" (Rinko & Sayo)

The Flame Cyclone burned the monsters along with the trees and the land.

"No matter how many times I see it, I still can't help but be amazed." (Saaya)

"Thank you very much!" Rinko bowed as she thanked Saaya for the compliment.

"But we still have a long way to go. I have sensed another horde of monsters nearby. Let's go." (Sayo)

"Yes!" (Saaya & Rinko)

As usual, Sayo's group is in high spirits and determined to polish their skills.

Yukina, Chisato, and Miu's Side

Yukina's group is facing hordes of monsters as well.

Yukina immobilized the monsters' movements with her ice. Chisato will finish them off with beams of light. And Miu will kill the monsters that will manage to get close.

"Are worrying about something, Furiniji-san?" (Yukina)

"Are you injured somewhere, Miu-chan?" (Chisato)

"No, I'm just wondering if it's all right to leave Shigure-san in the base." (Miu)

"We need someone to guard the base while we are gone. And the person herself volunteered to it. Yamabuki-san's golems are not enough to do it." (Yukina)

"Besides, Shigure-chan said that she wants to read the books Sai-san left to her." (Chisato)

"I see." (Miu)

"Anyways, let's focus on what we're currently doing." (Yukina)

Day of Examination: Day 44

And just like that 30 days has passed. And Sai got to admit that he can't take it anymore.

"At least, give me time to read, Mentor." (Sai)

"As far as I can see, you spend most of your time reading. You need to balance that knowledge of yours and the endurance of your body." (Scáthach)

"Then, let me summon a new Servant. Since I'm only training here all the time, give me some respite. I need to conduct experiments on the Eternal Holy Grail." (Sai)

"So, you are saying that you are dissatisfied with me as your Servant?" (Scáthach)

"That's not it, Mentor. Well, there are a couple of reasons. But…" (Sai)

"I want more war potential." (Sai)

The aura around Sai changed. From carefree to cold-blooded.

"What will you use that war potential for?" Scáthach asked with a serious tone.

"If you knew it, what will Mentor do? Kill me before I cause collateral damage?" despite his carefree tone the killing intent within that sentence is intense.

This is the reason why Sai isn't willing to contract Scáthach. There is a conflict between their methods and ideologies. Sai's alignment is Chaotic-Evil while Scáthach's is Neutral-Good. Sai wanted to get rid of Scáthach the moment he saw her. Because he saw it with his Eyes of Clarity that she is someone who will defend the world. While he is someone who will destroy it if it disturbed his sleep.

That's why Sai lead their conversation to that topic. And his question had a hidden declaration to it.

'Side with me and you will be the enemy of the world.'

Sai is not a brave warrior (Yuusha) nor he is a great hero (Eiyuu). As long as people doesn't disturb him, he will leave them alone. But as long as he had the things that can attract the greed of the majority, trouble will keep coming his way.

The Pioneer of Dawn has been accused as a blasphemous heretic for the discovery of the Resurrection Spell which 'broke the laws of the world'. They took advantage of the people's ignorance and slandered him to steal the knowledge he worked so hard to learn and to gather.

He admit that he is baited them to do it, but that is not the case in the present. And he is willing to turn their kingdoms into a sea of blood as a warning for those avaricious bastards. The treasures and knowledge he gained and will gained in the future will only be his property and no one else's.

*Sigh* "For you to test me like this, your doubts on me are too deep. If you want my answer, then all I can give is this:" (Scáthach)

"I will not kill you nor let you cause mass destruction." (Scáthach)

The aura around Sai returned to being carefree. Sai closed his left eye and titled his head to the left and speaks.

"You really are something, Mentor. I didn't expect this result. As reward, I give you an advice with regards to that." (Sai)

"Do not wake up the sleeping monster. Or else, no one, even the most powerful of heroes, can stop its rage." (Sai)

"Well then, I'm going to prepare the ritual." Sai walked away just like that, as if nothing happened.

Scáthach just smiled at her disciple's words.

"'Do not wake the sleeping monster', huh? I take it that I'm the one guarding the entrance of that monster's den? You trusted me that much. Fufu, I'm glad." Scáthach chuckled while she went to the same direction where Sai went.
