Paying The Price

Chapter 17 - For A Divorce.

Wayne's entrance brought chills as though it was winter, like a warrior from a bloody battle his every step was deadly.

Everyone in Titan city knew his identity as Wayne Grand, ruler of the city and other big cities in the country. His wealth abundantly abound. His coffee should be exceptionally superior but why was he here?

Wayne neglected the stares as he took a sit directly facing the counter. Diana screamed internally 'What the hell was he doing here?!! is he trying to make me lose my job.'

After taking a deep breath she decided to ignore him. On the contrary, the others present in the shop couldn't remain calm.

Z's coffee shop had four waiters, two were males and the other two consists of Diana and another. Taking turns, the three waiters emboldened themselves before confronting Wayne to take his order but all they got were cold stabbing stares. Finally it was Diana's turn, to avoid suspicion she had to walk up to him to take his orders.

"Can I get you anything sir?" With a smile she asked reluctantly.

Wayne's aura suddenly turned from cold to freezing, it was just too much that a customer by the next table had to leave the store entirely. Diana was greatly perplexed by this.

Since nice wasn't working she had to change strategy.

Her teeth clammed together with a plastered smile on her face she said in a very low voice "What the f*ck do you want?" His intimidating aura caused people to keep their distance from his table, so no one heard what she said but could only see a big smile on her face.

Wayne lifted his brow 'Oh now she's going with vague words.'

His silence was driving her crazy, she definitely couldn't take it anymore. "Met me by the alley." With those words she turned to take the back door.

Diana wore a batwing shirt with a tapered pant that showed off her figure. Wayne frowned at this sight.

At the alley, Diana was enraged at his presence "Why are you here?" She yelled.

"You didn't say I couldn't come." Wayne replied casually.

"Well you can't, besides, I don't want people to know am your wife." She had never appeared in the media as his wife so only few people actually knew she was. He never toke her to public events, more like he was ashamed of her, thought the public knew he was married but to whom, they were unaware.

With all these, she couldn't comprehend why he married her, as a bed mate? she wasn't remarkably good at it, so why?!

"What's wrong if they know?" His voice clearly dipected his anger at her statement.

"Cause if the public know they would ask why I suddenly appeared after four years, and when they do I'll tell them why am back. For a divorce." Diana may be unknown to the public but with strings pulled by Fiona they knew of her absence causing different scandles and slander to her name. Being in Denn City she was aware of these.

And what did Wayne do about it?

Absolutely nothing.
