Paying The Price

Chapter 46 - From The First Time You Drove Me Crazy.

Nikki's eyes were wide opened and her brain became blank, she had never expected such a thing to occur. Nothing seemed to be happening around her, the world stood still as she was immersed in his passionate kiss.

Leon finally let Nikki go when he observed she had difficulty breathing.

"What..... Where.... How...When..." Nikki couldn't complete a sentence when she came back to earth, her words escaped her as she tried to speak, her head became flooded with different thoughts that she couldn't comprehend herself.

"Are you okay?" Worried that he had broke the girl Leon asked.

"When did this happen?" She asked herself quietly at first "When did this happen?!" She then asked Leon in a loud voice, one that he was well acquainted with.

With a small yet visible smile, Leon examined the shocked girl with a pretty face before him "From the first time you drove me crazy."

"What?! When was that?" In her confused state she asked again.

"The first day we met."

"When was that?"

"At Evelyn's foundation."

"When was that?" Although she remembered the incident of that fateful day, she asked again like a programmed robot.

Thinking of the day Nikki plainly told him she would hit him silly if he made her job difficult, Leon felt more attracted to this crazy girl.

"Nikki, you're the girl I love and want to be with. Please don't reject me."

She tried to reply back but her words were ceased once more.

Leon badly wanted to hear her say she would be with him but things don't always go that smoothly "Have you never felt the same for me?" He asked her nervously.

"Of course I had felt for you, am not a wood that won't shake when they see a hot guy, it's just that I.... I never thought that...... argh, I don't know Leon, me and you..."

"Are perfect together." Leon completed her statement in a positive way. "Just give me a chance, give me your heart." Leon tried to hold her hand but Nikki unconsciously took a step back making his heart bleed.

"I..... I have to go. See you on Monday." Nikki said in a hushed tone then left the downhearted Leon in hurried steps.

.......

Some minutes earlier.

Sarah didn't feel comfortable after Leon departed from her so she searched for him.

Approaching the balcony, she heard a familiar voice say ".....I have someone I like but I don't know if she feels the same way."

That was Leon's voice, could he be talking about her. Of course it was her, who else would he like.

"You should ask her first, you may never know if you don't." Another voice said.

Was that Nikki? What was she doing here? Anyway Sarah couldn't wait to see Nikki's reaction when Leon says it's her.

Moving closer to the balcony Sarah thought 'Oh silly Leon, can't you see I love you more.'

But her expectations were shattered the moment Leon finished these words "You're right, I should."
