Chapter 173 - Light

The third boy nodded his head. "Sure we do."

Litian nodded her head. "We'll be playing that, but with a twist. In this game, I'll be the tagger," Her slim small legs ran over the line, "you cross that line and then try to run as fast as you can away from me."

The boys peered at her for a moment, a bit intrigued by the idea of the game. The second boy cocked his head. "And if we don't run?"

"There will be no running. Because the moment you cross that line, you have engaged yourself in a fight with me," Litian shrugged.

The boys peered at her blankly for a moment before bursting into laughter. "A fight?' said the first boy, "you want to fight us?"

"Nono, don't bring that absurd explanation, it's obviously foreplay," said the third boy, "there's no way a small girl could ever get the idea in her head that she could fight us."

The second boy looked at her, his eyes dropping to the sword by her side. He nodded at Litian. "Will you be using that?"

Litian looked down at her sword, kicking it away before chuckling. "Of course not. I said fight, not kill."

The second boy stared at her with astonishment, a grin passing on his face. "I like you. I'll marry you after this, you can be my wife, not the concubine," he took a step towards Litian. "How does that sound?"

Litian looked down at the line on the ground, her eyes looking back up at the boy that had taken a step towards her. A flash of disgust passed her face when she looked up at his face. She didn't even bother to reply to him. "Please be wary of the line."

The second boy looked down at the line and then looked back up at her. "This line?" he stepped forward again. "The line that I'm getting closer and closer to?"

Litian looked up at him, not the slightest bit fazed. She chose not to reply again.

Mr. Crowly watched from behind the door, his eyes staring at her with a bewildered expression on his face. He looked down at the line in the ground and back up at the girl. 'It's 3 boys against one girl… no matter how confident one can be, they can't simply overlook the complete power disadvantage they have.. Yet…' he looked at Litian, his head cocked to the side.'This girl... Didn't seem to care… or rather, is so sure of her own power that she isn't fazed by their advances.'

Litian didn't move an inch as the first boy took a step forward. The second and the third paused when she bent down and reached for her sword.

"Hey, hey, I thought we weren't going to be using swords here, did someone get scared?" the third chuckled.

Mr. Crowly's hand clenched. He felt better with her having the sword in her hand. It was the only advantage she had. His heart dropped to the floor when she picked it up and threw it at the first boy.

The first boy caught the sword confidently before a flash of concern fell on his face and the sword's tip fell to the ground with a clang. He looked down at the sword and up at the girl, disbelief flashing on his face.

He didn't know what he was expecting but he definitely wasn't expecting that. It was supposed to be light, to fit nicely in his hand, to weigh the same as a feather. Just like it looked like it did in the girl's hand. It was nowhere near the weight of a feather but rather the weight of a filled cauldron.

Filled with water.

He could barely even hold up the sword, nonetheless lift it up and throw it like she did.

The second boy looked at his friend with slight concern growing on his face. "What are you doing? Pretending that thing is heavy."

He reached for the sword and tried to take it out of the first's hand. His eyes widened when he realized he could barely drag it away from his friend. "What in the world-" he muttered as he tried to lift up the sword. He turned to Litian and then his friend and then his sword, bewildered.

"Why is the sword-" he could only manage to lift it up a little bit before the tip fell back to the ground with a clang.

The third looked at the second and the first, slight nervousness showing in his eyes. "What are you guys doing?" he muttered, trying to grab the sword from the second. He couldn't even lift it up or hold it, it fell to the ground with a clang.

They looked at the sword on the ground and then up at Litian who was looking down at the sword. They flinched when she looked up at them. "I see.." she muttered, a slight sigh escaping her face. " almost fell bad now…"

The first looked up at her anger flaring on his face. He immediately lunged for Litian, his hands reaching for her, but feet remaining planted in the ground. "How dare you?!"

Litian looked at him, her head cocking to the side. "Don't you feel bad about yourself?" She asked.

"What?" the first growled, "this little girl! It seems like we let you ha-"

"Don't you feel bad that you try your hardest to make me feel scared and to make yourself look bigger than you are, when you can't even take a step towards the line I made?"

The first flinched, looking down at his feet. They hadn't even crossed the sword on the ground.

He took a deep gulp and stepped over her sword, making steady steps towards the line before sprinting. "You bitc-"

His hands that reached to touch her never made their way to her body. She had dodged his lunge, turned to the side at the last moment, and stood, watching him as his body neared the ground. Her lips twitched and her fist flew out, hitting his side.

There was a nice crunch and he fell to the ground. He looked up at her for a moment and a second later the pain hit in, his entire body twisting to its right. He howled in pain and tears ran from his eyes.

His waist was broken.

"How dare you… how dare an insolent excuse of a human step over a general's blessed sword in an attempt to carry out his filthy deeds," she muttered, her voice remaining steady as she spoke as if her anger, her boiling anger, didn't even deserve to be taken out on the being at her feet.

The third flinched, watching his friend lay on the ground. Anger filled his eyes and he crossed over her sword, running towards her. "HOW DARE YOU?! HOW DARE YOU ATTACK A MA-"

He too never got to lay a finger on her. In fact, his finger was dislocated by the quick crack it faced by her hands twisting them in milliseconds. Her dainty legs raised up and hit his stomach, a nice crunch following after. He fell to the ground with no injuries and was about to reach for her when the pain sunk into him. He passed out immediately.

The second stared at the third and the first. Unlike them, he stepped around the sword as he made his advance to Litian. "I'm supposing if I step over that line like the rest, I'll end up just like them."

Litian simply nodded her head.

He nodded his head and stepped over the line. "I'll take it as punishment."

Litian let out a sigh and punched him in his stomach then watched him fall to the floor limply, blood rushing out of his mouth as his hit kicked in immediately. She walked past them, dusting off her shoulder and stopping beside her sword. She picked it up easily and slipped it into her sachet.

"How disgusting they were… right dad?" she muttered, tapping the sword. She stood up and walked towards the door she came out of, stopping when she noticed Mr. Crowly and then taking a bow. "Good evening my lord," she greeted before she turned around and walked the other direction, heading for another entrance to the room.

Mr. Crowly barely got the time to nod a reply before she was gone. His eyes shook a bit as he turned to the group of defeated boys and to the splatter of blood from the second boy before slowly closing the door and walking as fast as you could away from it.

He shuddered, shaking his head. It was terrifying. He was quick to admit that. It was terrifying, her power and that mysterious sword that no one but her could lift. His eyes searched the crowd for Cryst, his eyes sparkling like they had just made a new discovery. He had.

'What was that…' he thought to himself, 'what was that...' he was amazed but at the same time completely horrified that a lady, with that tiny figure, could single-handedly defeat 3 boys without much effort.

"How was that?" Cryst asked, to which Mr. crowly jumped as he turned to his right. It was Cryst, looking up at him curiously.. "Quite the woman I made, I think you can agree."
