Primordial Dimensions

Chapter 191: Caera

Turning around, the Elementals Empress saw what had shocked Shane as she nonchalantly said

"That's our destination!"

'Wait...what??' Shane had often heard about unique places inside the Primordial Dimensions called ancient flying cities. They were similar to dungeons, filled with treasures and dangerous.

However, he had never seen a floating crystal mountain, or whatever it was.

Shane was not even sure what exactly he should say, so he repeated his question in a slightly different way. "But...what is that?"

Suddenly, the Empress issued a sound that was similar to a laugh before she continued to float through the forest. They entered a small valley where Shane saw the first structures on Masua.

"This is Caera, the floating crystal island and our destination is at its center."

He nodded his head faintly as if he had understood the Empress's words.

They descended into the valley that had only one small structure at the center. It was a gigantic, complex, and layered magic circle.

When Shane saw this magic circle, his eyes grew wide as saucers. He immediately realized that the Elus-race was more advanced in their knowledge of mana and probably even how to blend it together with technology better than mankind.

But, that was not really surprising because mankind had yet to awaken their origin planet's mana heart.

Mankind's achievements were astronomical considering the fact that they hadn't even spent three centuries within the Primordial Dimensions.

Other races required several millennials to reach the same success humanity had achieved in a matter of 300 years.

Nevertheless, this didn't mean that humanity's foundation was firmer than others because they still had to awaken their planet's mana heart or search for other planets to inhabit.

Due to a lack of these foundational things, mankind was yet to start acquiring more knowledge about magic devices, complex magic circles, and all kinds of occupations that were required to construct special structures like the layered magic circle in front of him.

The Elementals Empress noticed his shocked expression and couldn't help but ask,

"This question might sound rude, but is it possible that your race doesn't have any teleportation ports?"

Upon hearing this question, Shane scratched the back of his head in embarrassment, not knowing how he could explain his race's situation without worsening the human race's reputation in the Elus race's eyes.

Clearing his throat, he said

"We, humans, are still considered a new race in the Primordial Dimensions because the Dimension-Portals emerged less than 300 years ago. Right now we are still acquiring funds to awaken our origin planet's mana heart. On the other hand, we are more proficient in fighting.

Currently, our race has around 30 safe shelters in basic dimensions, more than 10 in intermediate dimensions, and 5 in advanced dimensions. Though the latter can't be said to be perfectly secured or in extremely valuable and dangerous dimensions.

We are not an interstellar race yet and have no great technique. Currently, we have only one planet to live on but we are more ambitious than other races might think!"

Shane had tried his best to paint mankind in a positive light but he felt that he had done a miserable job which caused him to sigh in regret.

'I should have thought about an explanation for something like that before…Now it's too late either way'

Fortunately, the Elementals Empress didn't seem to think that Shane's explanation was bad because she responded with,

"That's hard to achieve for a new race...not bad. If the human race can prosper and build a proper foundation, it will either turn into the best ally or worst enemy. The Elus-race has only a bunch of shelters for each dimension but our race has been in the Primordial Dimensions for a long time.

Either way, every race has its own, unique path to develop and humanity seems to focus on the Primordial Dimensions.

As long as your race doesn't act too aggressively, it will be fine. But it would be better if you tell your leaders to slow down expanding your territories in the Primordial Dimensions and take care of other matters before stronger races declare war on the human race.

Your race might be able to defend their shelters, but what would happen if another interstellar race was to find the location of your origin planet? They would mercilessly annihilate the root cause of their problem!"

Shane stiffened when the Elementals Empress finished praising the human race, only to lecture them.

His father, aunts, and uncles were also aware of the problems stated by the Elementals Empress. But it was difficult to satisfy mankind's greed for more resources that had intensified over the last century while trying to slow down their expansion.

Humanity had already planned to slow down expanding, once the already started projects were finished. After that, John Stella would look into the matters regarding the Dark Ice Elves, and the human organizations supported by them.

To the human race, the Dark Ice Elves were a thorn in their flesh. They were not only an Interstellar race that had begun their journey in the Primordial Dimensions at the Intermediate Dimensions but they had also declared war against every possible race, including the Forest Elven and Elven race with whom they had a peace treaty.

As such, humanity was facing a small problem which the government had to solve as soon as possible without creating mass hysteria throughout the planet.

Shane knew that his family had many things to take care of and now that he had to rely on their help, they were probably even busier than before.

'I should probably thank them properly and work even harder to help them out as soon as possible.' He thought that it might be better to thank them by helping them in the future when he would be strong enough to stand on his own feet and not require their support anymore!

The first step to help them might already be right in front of him because he might be able to open a way to forge a good relationship with the Elus-race.

"Thanks for this advice Empress Idral, I will relay it to the leaders as soon as possible." Shane said with a small smile before he took off his mask which deflected the sun rays to a certain degree.

It would be uncomfortable for him to wear the mask for several days in succession. Thus, instead of forcing himself to wear it, he preferred to slowly adjust to the bright sun rays.

In the end, it shouldn't be a problem as long as he didn't look straight at the sun!

Squinting his eyes, he followed the Elementals Empress who approached the teleportation port. When she noticed Shane take off his mask, a faint smile emerged on her humanoid face.

After both he and the Elementals Empress stood in the center of the layered magic circle, the Empress called teleportation port, she suddenly cautioned him.

"If possible, please refrain from absorbing too many transmuted mana particles. I doubt it's useful for you either way! Other than that, you can absorb as much as you want, it won't harm or damage anything."

Shane nodded before he felt a huge surge of mana around him. The layered magic circle manifested around them before everything turned white.

A moment later, he felt the ground below him disappear, only to reappear after several seconds.

The white light around them dissipated and Shane suddenly found himself inside a huge city made of elemental crystals. There were thousands of elementals floating through the alleys and the sky.

Everything looked glamorous and magnificent right now. Even if his eyes hurt a lot due to the burning sensation that was caused by the sunlight, Shane couldn't help but exclaim,

"It's beautiful!"
