Princess Shu

Chapter 82

Schuden calmed down a little after thinking that far about their marriage status. Valia was his wife, she would not disappear anywhere. He must have been so nervous to notice such an obvious matter so late. On another note, He could rarely act like himself whenever Valia was involved. It was his first time being in love, after all. Everything was like that.

‘Confessing, huh?’

Schuden found himself smiling.

‘I almost messed up.’

Like a fool, Schuden almost confessed his love without any preparation. He had never even confessed to a woman before, yet he assumed the romantic fantasies of young nobles were common sense.

All the previous efforts he had made to win Valia’s heart were not enough for him to confess his love for her. He should have at least had a bouquet of flowers in his hand. Instead, he almost opened his mouth without anything to give to her.

Luckily, Robin interrupted at an unknowingly good time.

‘What do people usually prepare?’

What immediately came to Schuden’s mind were flowers and jewels. The problem was that it was too generic a gift. Flowers and jewels were what a husband would usually prepare for his wife. For Schuden, it did not feel very special. Besides, he wasn’t even sure if noble couples partake in the act of confessing their love for each other in the first place. It was only natural that nothing appropriate could come up to him right away.

Not knowing what Schuden was worried about, Valia asked with her still flushed cheeks.

“Schu, are you going to look around some more?”

Seeing that Schuden came to the field as soon as he arrived at the palace, Valia was worried that he would be tired. She wanted to check if he was injured or not. As far as she knew, Schuden was a man who would answer that he was not hurt even if he was injured.

“I have seen enough. What about you, my dear?”

“So have I. Let’s go back.”

“Sure.”

Schuden reached out to Valia and held her warm hand after a very long time. He thought that she was oblivious to his love for her, just like how he was oblivious to her feelings.

Valia was in a good mood. She had forgotten for a moment because of what happened, but her small wish unexpectedly came true. She wanted to watch the golden sunflower field with the man she loved. The sunflowers that resemble Schuden’s blonde hair were dazzling.

‘It was really dangerous earlier.’

When Valia ran into Schuden’s embrace, she was so overwhelmed that she almost confessed her love. Valia realized then that she could no longer hide her feelings.

She had hid it well so far. However, there was a limit to someone’s feelings. The emotions that were piled up one by one would eventually explode. Valia did not want to show her feelings that way, they were much too precious to her for them to be exposed like that.

‘That’s why…’

Valia wanted to confess in earnest when she was ready. She wanted to say that she loved him. In a nicer place, when the atmosphere was good.

The sunflower field had an excellent lyrical atmosphere, but the sun was too bright. It would be ridiculous if her face turned red while confessing, so the scene should be a little less bright.

If that was the case, Valia would have tried to pay more attention to her dress than she did then. If she could wear a fancy dress, she wanted to wear a tiara on her head with it. Among the numerous jewels Schuden gave to her, Valia especially cherished the diamond tiara.

‘Ugh, at this rate, I may as well hold a banquet just to confess.’

Valia shook her head. She made plans on such a large scale, yet she could not even work up the courage. Valia rationalized such a plan to be inevitable due to her nervousness. She was always good at rationalizing.

Duke and Duchess Garth got into the carriage. While sitting side by side talking about what had happened, they both kept thinking of something else, mainly about how to confess to the person in front of them and what to prepare for it. Of course, either side had no confidence that their partner would accept their confession.

The man and woman had a crush on each other, and they were facing a dilemma.

Schuden finished bathing before Valia.

“The castle has changed more than I thought.”

The servant who attended his master’s bath replied.

“Yes, Your Grace. The reconstruction lasted two seasons at Madam’s command. She told us to fix the interior as well as the exterior.”

Schuden heard that Valia had redecorated Garth castle as he got off the carriage. After getting off, he took a good look at the castle. After taking a good look, the atmosphere of the castle was completely different. The Garth castle in Schuden’s memory was just a huge and hideous building, it would not be enough to just step on and break it.

He felt strange. Schuden really did not know when the day would come for the nauseating castle to look like an ordinary noble castle.

[Schu, I did fix it as I wanted…]

Valia told Schuden to let her know if there was any place he did not like. Schuden shook his head.

[I like it. It’s much better than before.]

Schuden meant it. It really was not bad. He thought that even if he demolished the whole castle and built a wall on it again, the terrible feeling and reluctance would never be erased. After secretly being nervous, Valia smiled in relief.

“Good night, Your Grace.”

The Employees left the bedroom after bowing their heads. Schuden looked away as they all went out. He directed his gaze at the door on the left of the bedroom door. This door was connected to the bathroom of Lady Garth and showed no sign of opening yet.

The structure of Garth castle was slightly different from that of the one in the capital. In the capital’s manor, the bedroom and bathrooms of the noble couple were separated. They had to go out through the hallway door to get to the bathroom from the bedroom. And at the end of the hallway, the couple’s bathroom faced each other.

However, Garth castle was too wide, they would have to walk for a long time from the bedroom to the bathroom if they wanted to use the same bedroom. Although the castle was extended like crazy, it did not change the fact it would be uncomfortable. And so, new bathrooms were made near the bedroom.

Two more doors were installed inside the bedroom to allow access without going through the long hallway. They could go to each of their bathrooms right away once they went through a small hallway, with the distance from the bedroom being shorter than that of the capital’s manor.

And so, the short time it took to go back and forth between the bedroom and the bathroom made it comfortable for her. But Valia did not close up the old bathroom. Instead, the bathtub and furniture, along with the previously golden walls and floors, were completely replaced.

Schuden looked around the bedroom without much thought. Even after the death of the former Marquess Garth, he continued to use his original room. So it was actually his first time sleeping in the castle’s master bedroom.

It took less than a few days to close the castle and fire the former Marquess’ faithful servants. After that, he came straight to the capital.

Schuden walked to the bed and smirked. There was a small old pillow on the luxurious bed that stuck out from the other pillows. Obviously, it was Valia’s.

‘They did a good job.’

Schuden has not heard from Paul nor from his aide about this matter yet. Although he hadn’t eaten lunch yet, as soon as he got back to the castle, Schuden had dinner with Valia and then went straight for a bath.

Sitting on the bed, Schuden picked up the old pillow. The pillow was no longer fluffy, but it was soft. Schuden put the pillow down when Valia came out.

“Schu, you’re out already.”

Valia’s cheeks glowed red because of the heat of the bath. After striding to the door, Schuden grabbed her hand and replied.

“I just got out.”

He could effortlessly lie that much. Valia smiled. She was about to feel touched. For the past few months, Valia always came back to an empty bedroom after she took a bath. But today, her husband came home and was waiting for her. She was happy and content about that fact.

Schuden took Valia straight to the bed. The maids that had attended to Valia’s bath quickly took their leave.

As soon as the bedroom door closed, Schuden grabbed Valia’s shoulder and kissed her.

He violently struck his lips and entered her mouth as she tried to take a small breath. His tongue penetrated through the gap and squeezed her flesh, which hesitated in surprise. He constantly felt, tasted, and sucked her red, tender mouth. Everywhere his tongue passed, her mouth was burning as if it was on fire. Valia barely accepted the shower of kisses with a gasp of breath.

“Hngh…”

A small moan escaped from Valia’s mouth. Schuden grabbed Valia by the waist and pulled her close to his body. He could feel her soft and supple breasts through her thin silk robe. His body reacted steadily to her.

When the war broke out, he could not even hold her.

Their bodies touched with only a thin gown in between them. With their groins tightly stuck together, Valia felt Schuden’s phallus growing ever so erect. She held her breath. She had already gone through the act countless times after marriage, but she still could not reach the point of being calm.

Still, Valia has improved a lot compared to her first time. Before this, she would freeze up like a statue every time this happened. Of course, even now, let alone touch it, she still could not even look at it. Every time she saw it, she would be at a loss for words and get embarrassed, leading to her cheeks getting burning hot.
