Pushing Down the Male God

“ShanShan, the elevator will be coming down soon, why are you still over there?” Yang Qiao, who was familiar with Gu Shanshan on weekdays, happened to see Gu Shanshan and gave her a friendly reminder when the elevator was approaching.

Gu Shanshan was startled by a sudden pat on her shoulder. After seeing the person, she pouted in silence. Her friend proceeded to say, “Sooner or later, you will be scared into having a heart attack.” Seeing her friend’s smile on her face, Gu Shanshan said, “The elevator is finally here, you better go up quickly. There are a lot of people and I will wait for the next one.”

Yang Qiao nodded and walked away, not thinking too much about the strangeness of her friend.

As soon as Yang Qiao left, Gu Shanshan immediately stared at the door once again, afraid that she would miss something.

Not long after, a familiar figure walked in at a steady pace.

The man had a slender figure, with broad shoulders and a narrow waist, and his hair was neatly managed. He had sword-like brows and star eyes1 attributing to his good-looking face. He wore a high-end handmade suit tailored just for him, making him look tall and upright, and a shiny, polished, handcrafted pair of Italian leather shoes on his feet.

After Zhou An walked in, Gu Shanshan tidied up her not-at-all messy clothes and hair. She then let out a breath and greeted him with a sweet smile. “Hello, General Manager and Secretary Zhao,” Gu Shanshan said in a cheery tone.

“En, you just arrived as well?” Zhou An also smiled when he saw Gu Shanshan.

Without waiting for Gu Shanshan to speak, Secretary Zhao on the side jokingly said “Our assistant Gu must have been waiting here for quite a long time. Say, were you waiting for me, your boss, or our general manager?”

Gu Shanshan blushed and fiercely glared at Secretary Zhao, she then secretly took a quick glance at Zhou An. She couldn’t help but be somewhat disappointed in her heart when she didn’t see any changes on his face. However, she soon felt better again. After all, she was special to him, wasn’t she? He never gave any of the beautiful girls in the company a single glance, only her.

The three enter the elevator as they continue to joke around.

In the past month, Gu Shanshan had succeeded in getting acquainted with Zhou An. So when Secretary Zhao protested numerous times against too much work and requested for an assistant. Zhou An thought of this girl who he had a good impression of. After spending a short time every day for a month, he found that she was serious in her work and did not resemble other girls who would use whatever means to try to seduce him and climb on his bed once they learned of his identity.

Therefore when he was looking for an assistant for the secretary, he promoted her directly.

Even now Gu Shanshan had mistakenly thought that to him, she was different from the rest. That she had someplace in his heart, only her status was currently too low so he himself has yet to notice.

The three of them walked into the elevator one after another. Zhou An was looking down at the documents in his hand and didn’t notice that on the side, Gu Shanshan was looking right at him through the reflection on the elevator wall.

Secretary Zhao maintained a posture of looking down and lowering his head, pretending not to see Gu Shanshan’s admiring eyes looking towards the boss.

“Wait a minute!” When the elevator was about to close, a pretty, small pale hand was inserted horizontally.

The three people simultaneously raised their heads to look at the owner of the hand.

“Ah, I’m sorry.” After apologizing, Lin Mengmeng turned around, intending to press the floor buttons, but found that the floor she wanted to go to was already lit. Pretending to be surprised, “Oh, what a coincidence! It just so happens that I’m also going to floor 28th.” She raised her head and looked at the people inside.
