*Two months ago*

Qi Fan is starting to get anxious as she have noticed more changes with how her husband treats her. During the first month of their marriage her husband almost stayed in her courtyard every night and he would always go with her strolling in the garden unless he had to go to work. She don't know when it started but there's a feeling in her heart that she is losing him and to whom she isn't sure.

She went to her mother in law's courtyard. First Madam Long was stunned seeing the sorrow in Qi Fan's face. "Fan'er are you alright my dear?"

"Mother, Ting gege haven't visited me for a week this didn't happened before...I am starting to be afraid that..." Qi Fan didn't continue as her emotions taking over her. She lowered her head and tears can be seen dropping on the back hands that are clenching her handkerchief. This sight strung First Madam Long's heart "Fan'er don't worry too much my son loves you so much you have to believe in him. He is just busy with the family's businesses." Madam Long wants to assure her daughter in law but she heard how Guanting keeps on going to Ying Yue and starting to suspect that her son is meeting someone secretly.

"For you Mother I will believe in him..." after few pleasantries and calming down her daughter in law Madam Long instructed her close maidservant to carefully send Qi Fan back to her courtyard. After coming back the same maidservant whispered to First Madam Long's ear, what she heard made her head hurt.

Upon arriving at Long Fu, Patriach Long immediately went back to his courtyard to rest without speaking nor looking back to his grandson. Long Guanting was called by her mother's maidservant.

"You just got married and now you fancy another girl with unknown origin?!" First Madam Long immediately reprimanded her son who just step inside her courtyard's receiving area. "How can you be such..."

"I apologize Mother but the lady that I adore is one with connection, she isn't one with unknown origin."

"How about Qi Fan? What do you plan about her? Remember she..."

"Even though she is the reason for my grandfather's cold treatment to me, I love her Qi Fan so she is and will be forever my first wife. I will not wrong her Mother."

"You are breaking the tradition of this family, your grandfather will not approve of you having another wife..."

"I will convince him mother, me marrying Ying Yue's musician will bring benefits to our clan. Traditions are set by ancestors but it isn't something unbreakable. Our clan need to adjust to the changes in the society."

"Hmp! Since you have already made your decision without even considering your mother's feelings then go! I don't care anymore what you have in mind just make sure you don't fail and be a joke of our Long clan!"

"Thank you mother, this son shall leave then..." when Guanting is one step away from the door he heard his mother's voice again.

"Visit Qi Fan, I don't want to hear any complaints from her of your wrong doings!" Guanting turned to face his mother and respectfully nod before leaving.

"Ji mama did I spoil him too much that he... never mind. Leave me alone for a while..." exhaustion can be seen on the face of First Madam Long.

"Yes First Madam..." Ji mama and the other servants bowed before leaving the receiving hall leaving their master in her own thoughts.

*Back to the present*

"Xiuying are you ready we have to set off soon or we will be late..." Xi Hui called her daughter while entering Xiuying's bedchamber but upon seeing her daughter beautifully dressed her heart was filled with pride.

Xiuying sweetly wrap her hands to Xi Hui's arms. "I am ready Mother. You are so beautiful, Father will definitely be drinking lots of vinegar later hahahaha"

Xi Hui can't help but flick her daughter's forehead while blushing. "That sweet tongue of yours should be cut off!"

"Eh then who will praise Mother once it is cut? You will be annoyed hearing Father's lousy words on praises and brother isn't good at it too."

"Hahahaha that's true, then it should be there tongue that should be cut off so it won't annoy your Mother's ears. Come on let's go your father and brother are already waiting outside." Xi Hui and Xiuying started to walk towards their residence's gate.

Upon reaching the residence's gate, the mother and daughter noticed another carriage beside theirs. It is a black carriage decorated with gold paint on its edges. Xianyao seeing his beloved wearing a beautiful dress is now having thoughts of how to hide her away from the wolves in the palace.
