"How dare you do this to my lady. Let me go! You shall pay tremendously, lowly human!" The s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s' servant fumed while struggling from the strong grip of the reapers.

Upon hearing the threat, Hannah narrowed her eyes and unceremoniously gave the servant a palm and backhanded slaps. When the servant yelped and fell to the ground with her huge b.u.t.t, she berated her. "Stupid servant, know your place! You don't have the right to speak to the future queen like that? Drako, what is the punishment for insulting our Lady?"

"*Lynching, of course. But since our lady holds three titles, one of which is as the future monarch, the perpetrator's nine generations will suffer the same fate. Even without my King's decree, I can pronounce it to a worthless servant like her."

The servant's complexion paled and her lips trembled. She whimpered and instinctively looked at her lady for help. "M-my Lady, please help me! I did everything for you, please don't leave me here. Aaahh!"

However, the servant's plea fell on deaf ears as Lilith had completely forgotten about her and just locked herself inside her carriage like a true spoiled princess that she was. She completely left all the cleaning up to the Montcroix chamberlain who just arrived seconds ago.

"Master Drako, I am Horace from the house of Montcroix." The wise-looking chamberlain bowed as he introduced himself. "The Grand Duke has heard of what happened and our household is truly repentant of such atrocity. This humble servant implore the venerable spring maiden to forgive our lady in exchange for a favor or two."

Haru halted her steps upon hearing that she would receive compensation from today's trouble. Her eyes instantly lit up in mischief, thinking of scoring a fortune as an addition to her savings.

Well, an independent woman must learn how to earn her own money and must not depend too much on her man's wealth.

She cleared her throat while her face was void of any emotion, pretending that her pupils didn't turn into coins just now. "What can you offer to this lady, then?

The chamberlain bowed in respect and greeted her formally before he answered. "Lady Haru, to ensure that our household will not incur the wrath of His Majesty, the Grand Duke is willing to do anything?"

She tilted her head to test his words, "Lady Lilith said that it is His Majesty that needed the Montcroix alliance and not the other way around. If your household is that powerful, why ask for pardon? Just start a rebellion against the royal family. I can even help you speak to His Majesty of your terms."

Horace knelt on the ground in panic and earnestly pleaded. "My lady, I beseech you to forgive our household. Rest assured that the Grand Duke does not hold such feelings. He treats the total family with high regard and he is loyal to His Majesty, King Adis."

"Unfortunately, loyalty is easily breakable nowadays. Nevertheless, I shall only believe in your words depending on how you will show your sincerity."

"I am ready to receive your orders, my Lady."

Haru nodded and shamelessly declared her terms. "Very well. Tell your master that I have expressed my benevolence by sparing his daughter's life and by not bringing this issue to the King. In return, I require two things. First, for making this righteous lady scared, I demand for the Grand Duke's one year's worth of salary as reparation.

"Second, this weak lady hurt her fingers during the battle, hence, two of your major businesses shall be transferred under my name. I heard that the Montcroix household has a gold mine and oil field. Even if those two are still not enough, I shall take those two businesses then."

"Pfft!"

Her three servants couldn't contain their laughter by her drama.

Scared? Weak? She just committed bloody murder to those assassins in one fell swoop! Moreover, she didn't even score an itsy bitsy bruise. How could a 'righteous' lady lie without batting an eyelash?

Now they understood how wicked their future queen's mind worked. She must have seen this coming. She did not forgive lady Lilith because she was being kind, but because she knew that her family would come and strike a deal with her just to get their entire clan off the hook. In a nutshell, she already planned to swindle them the moment the s.u.c.c.u.b.u.s showed herself in front of the clever maiden.

Little did they know, she had a tedious training in 'swindling 101' with the master in schemes, none other than the Demon King himself.

The poor chamberlain couldn't believe what he heard and asked Drako for confirmation. "D-did... the virtuous and kind future queen just demand a year's worth of my master's salary and two major businesses?"

"Yes, you heard it right," Drako confirmed the servant's greatest nightmare. "And I shall make sure that everything will be accounted for."

*Adis seductively whispered to *Haru's ears as they were both watching the catfight-gone-bloodbath. He stood right behind her and held her h.i.p.s to shove her soft b.u.t.t.o.c.k.s against his huge hard-on. "I didn't know that you're good at catfight. I'm so f.u.c.k.i.n.g hard right now because of that."

*Haru rolled her eyes. "Ugh! Pervert alert. Kyaa! Stop tickling my ears."

"Wife, do invite me when you'll have a catfight next time. Don't worry, I'll just watch at the corner while jacking off from your biting remarks."

"Eww, stalker!" she half-heartedly cried out.

When her husband enthusiastically dragged her to follow her past self, she frowned in wonder. "Hey, where are you going? Let's do a time skip now so we can chase after Pier."

"No, don't you dare, love!" he objected, which made her frown deepened. He then flashed her his evil smile and continued, "More exciting stuff is waiting for us, so we shall end our first day here."

"Oh well, if you say so," she shrugged her shoulders and conceded eventually.

But after a couple of steps, she immediately froze in her tracks. Her pupils dilated and her face turned crimson red when she remembered what happened after the catfight. She repeatedly beat his shoulders in exasperation.

"I knew you are up to no good, you idiot husband! We are so gonna skip that!"

"What?! No way! You already agreed so we shall move forward. I told you, I remember 'em all." *Adis persisted and effortlessly carried her in his arms.

"Kyaa! No, stop! Put me down! Help, help, somebody restrain this perverted animal for me!"
